 Carolyn: So happy your home safe and sound. I had a 5dt on Sunday- my doc waits 11dp3dt and 9dp5dt to beta, which is when anyone can do it. The 14 days really should start around the time of retrieval or ovulation, so once you transfer, your already into those 14 days. Make sense? Either way, I don't have as long to wait which is great for me, sorry you have to wait a few more days. You may have had a 3 day transfer, can't remember, which would account for the difference.
I had a question for you also since you didn't have to stim (me neither since did an FET), I have been on PIO since last Tuesday (a week today) and my boobs aren't sore yet. I just hope I'm getting enough! I am also on 2 mg of Estrogen tablets twice a day. It just scared me that I don't have enough on board to maintain a pregnancy. Any thoughts from anyone on a nonstimmed cycled would be appreciated

 For all of you, if you are comfortable with it, it would be great for everyone to update their profile to include where you are from, it really helps when reading the thread, and a little signature would be great, so we know a little about your history with infertility. Just a thought. Once you are signed in, you can go to "profile" and put in this info. You do have to check a box that states you want your signature to show up though.
Take care ladies, Melanie

Hi Mel - I am on 2mg of estrogen and 200mg of progesterone in morning and again in evening - I have been on estrogen (2mg 3 x daily ) for what seems like forever and progesterone since the 7th - my boobs feel tender today but that is the first I have noticed - I did 5 day transfer on saturday so today I am 3dp 5dt so in theory was planning on testing at weekend with POAS but beta is not till 24th

trying - that is too early to POAS !! - wait a few daysa and try again :D

Had an email from the clinic today with pictures of our blasts prior to transfer and we have 2 that made it to freeze - have never had spares before so we are delighted

My oly symptom is can't stop eating - DH says hopes i am not eating for 4

Wishfull, Trying tested at 6pd5dt which is equivalent to my 8dp3dt test. I think it's possible that her BFP is for real :D Not that I'm an expert but mine turned out to be the real deal  I'm sure Eileen (trying) will be POASing again anyway, so

hello ladies!

trying- yay for a positive hpt! I would think your trigger would be gone by now, it depends on the dosage, but they say 1000 units per day, so the average hcg shot of 10,000 units should be gone in 10 days.

josee- my first bfp with my first ivf was the same way, I could only see a faint line under the right light and at the right angle, but you are right, whatever happens will happen no matter what...but a line is a line...

babyluv- a lot of people will say first urine is best, which is what I was doing all my last cycle and getting bfn's, but then I read if you drink a lot before bed (which I tend to do) then first morning urine could be diluted, so they reccomended for it not to be first morning and to not drink for like 3 hours after your first morning pee, and I did that, and that is when I saw my very first faint line, so I might try that if you poas again.

dys- I am so happy for you, and can't wait to hear about that line getting darker...and I after I finish my personals here, I will tell ya what I got cookin! I am like a little oven over here!

neffi- hang in there...won't be too much longer...but I know it seems like forever

sbr- I am sorry you had a negative on hpt this morning, but I have seen betas still come back positive. I am happy to hear you are planning for the next cycle already though, I will be the same way if this doesn't work for me this time, as long as we can figure out the financial side of it, I will try to go again as soon as possible. We will all be cheering you on for an upcoming FET.

afm...I went for my scan this morning, and I can't believe the difference one day made. I am gearing up for what I think my UK friends call a "Bumper Crop." Yesterday they counted around 10 follicles total, which is what I expected since last cycle I had around 11. Today she started looking and counting on my right ovary, and she got up to ten and I said "Is that just on my right?" Then she went to my left and counted around 12! So that's about 22 in total, double from my last cycle! She said the biggest one is 13mm, and then there are a bunch of 10's. I am in shock, I am waiting for the bloodwork results and my guess is they will reduce my meds again, but I will let you know when I know. I have to go back again tomorrow for another scan and bw, and doc said I may have to come everyday this week, they are watching it closely.

The meds are starting to effect me, bloating, some mild cramping, I am very tired. I have a feeling it will seem like forever until ER. Last time I didn't get bloated and uncomfortable until further into stimming, but I guess it makes sense to feel this way earlier since I have double the follicles this time.

I guess now we will have to hope for lots of spermies from the TESE and the frozen vial. The number of eggs I produce will be irrelavant if we don't get enough sperm. Last ivf it took the lab tech over an hour to find 8 good sperm from one vial to match with my eggs. I hope we get a lot so we can freeze a bunch.

I will update later after bw phone call.

 SBR- Sorry to hear of your HPT results. Please let us know of Beta though, since you never know.
I hate to ask you this today of all days, but can you tell me what maintanence drugs you were on after your FET. I'm obsessed now with making sure I have enough hormones to support a possible pregnancy. My FET wasn't until CD 24 of my cycle, which I thought was really late. I just want to make sure AF doesn't rear her ugly head just becuase my hormones aren't high enough. My RE doesn't do bw like some do post transfer, so no way to know if I need more.
Again I'm sorry to bother you with something so trivial, just when you get a chance I would love to hear from you.
Thanks and I'm keeping my fingers crossed, Melanie
PS, Michelle thanks for updating me on list and for even doing the list- It's a great help!

It's official. BFN.

I'm already anxious for the doc to call so I can get my next plan rolling. I have a few things in mind that I'd like to change...one, not be on that extra week or two of Lupron to manipulate the cycle, and I'd like to go back to the PIO shots. I still have 5 embies, so hopefully one of those will become a (near) future baby! I had to take one for the team because the odds were way too good on this board!! :D Congrats to all of you who got BFPs. And remember, don't be too sad for me, because I do have my 2 year old Jack who's a great (1st) IVF miracle baby!

sarah- I am so sorry to hear about your news. I was keeping everything crossed for you. Please let us know when your dr says you can do an FET, we will all be hear to cheer you on.

I understand what you mean about having Jack. As much as I want this to work, I know the blow might be softened if I get a bfn as I can look at Ella and know how truly blessed I am to have her. If I am blessed with more children, I will be ecstatic, if it never happens for me again, I couldn't be any happier with my little girl, she is my world and I know how lucky we are to have her.

Melanie, I think we were posting at the same time. I called to get my beta results and it's a BFN. I knew that this morning after the HPT, so the blow wasn't so bad. I think you're asking what drugs I was on, so here goes: I was on Lupron for many weeks (longer than normal because we were trying to manipulate the cycle to work with my spring break); then I started Estrace pills 3x per day and then I was doing the progesterone suppositories 3x per day. Had I gotten a BFP, it is my understanding that I would have stayed on both the Estrace and the Progesterone for a few more weeks. It is a bit different than the fresh cycle I went through, so make sure you get clear instructions from your ER. Good luck!

Hi everyone. So, it all went quiet on here over Saturday/Sunday and then everyone came out of the woodwork yesterday and today! A few quick personals:

sbr - I'm so sorry about your BFN, but happy to hear that you are staying positive and looking to the future. Let us know what your RE says about how soon you can try again.

Michele - my God, I can't believe how many eggs you are cooking in that oven! Have they told you to keep an eye out for signs of OHSS? I can imagine how growing that little lot is going to make you feel tired and bloated, so just take care of yourself. And at the rate you're going, our ER's are going to be mere days apart! When is DH's TESE, or does that depend on when you have ER?

Melanie - yay, you're PUPO, hope you are taking care of yourself! I was really interested to read your story about the debate about transferring 1 or 2 and the outcome with what the embryologist said. You have obviously made the right decision for you and DH, I'm so happy for you.

sportsmom - I assume you've started stimming now, hurray! How's it going? And 38 possible follies - I can't even imagine!

Cynthia - huge congratulations, it's official now! Hope you and DH are celebrating! And your beta number seemed pretty high to me (although I don't know too much about these things) - is it high enough for multiples do you think?

dys and Trying - I'm so excited for you both! Roll on beta...

Carolyn - welcome back, I see you brought the sun from Prague back with you, so thank you! Enjoy being PUPO...

All you other 2ww ladies (Sari, Latino, Hopeful, babyluv, josee, Neffi, kline and anyone else I've missed off by mistake), I'm still thinking of you all!

So, my news from today's scan: I have 3 follicles on the right side and 3 follicles on the left side, all six at about 20mm. In addition, there is a new one at 15mm which looks hopeful, and another at 10mm which doesn't. So I'm hoping for a lucky seven eggs at ER!! They have told me that I will trigger tomorrow night and have ER on Friday. I'll be doing a day 2/3 transfer (as that is all that my funding covers) so that will mean ET on Sunday or Monday. They are going to call again tomorrow afternoon with more details about when to do the trigger shot, when to turn up on Friday for ER and what to expect etc. I am now getting excited and scared in equal measure! And still praying that I've made the right decision about doing ER under just a local anaesthetic. I'm hoping with a maximum of 8 follicles to aspirate, it will all be over pretty quickly.
