So I have told myself that I was going to stay away from the boards. I just can't do it, so I am starting up a June/July cycle board. Everyone is welcome.
Background on me. DH and I have been together for 17 years, have been married for 9. Seems like forever. We have been TTC for 4 years. Was considered unexplained infertility till March 09 with my last cycle of IVF and my RE diagnosed me with Diminished Ovarian Reserve. I have had 4 canceled cycles of IVF and 2 IVF cycles that have been a BFN. I am done with my old clinic. Can't even fathom going back to them. Just had a consult with a new RE and will hopefully cycle in June/July. I will be doing estrogen priming before I start stims so should start the drugs in the middle of June.
Hope to see a lot of BFP's!!!!

Hi My names Lisa. I am most likely to go through every thing in June and maybe spill into July a little depending on every thing.
Our story is we will be married for 10 years in August. I was unexplained the first year and then they discovered I had a moderate case of endometriosis. Tons of failed IUI's with chlomid, femarra, injectables and one failed IVF. I had a BFP FET only to end up not working out. My two sisters got pregnant right after those failed.
After we saved up more money we decided another try RE might do a Blastocycst Transfer. I am tryin to stay possitive because they told me that it brings in poss energy and will make it happen.
Keep in touch! I hope it works for the both of us!!!!!!!!!!

Hi ladies-
I hope you're okay with me joining you due to the fact that I will be trying for baby #2 through IVF, most likely in July. I know when I went through it the 1st time I sometimes felt a little differently about those that had at least had a successful IVF because no matter what they'd at least have their one success story.
Anyway, here's my background....After 2 years of TTC, 4 failed IUI's, having a tube surgically removed, a positive 1st IVF and then miscarriage and DNC and finally getting our BFP on our 2nd round of IVF, which was a FET, we are the blessed parents of a 15 month old baby girl. I am now 33 and my DH and I will have been married 5 years this summer.
I am currently weaning our baby from BF'ing as I need to be done for 2 months before I can do another cycle of IVF to try for baby #2. There is a different sense of dread that goes along with it this time as I know what a long road it is and how emotional it can be and I'm concerned about doing it while now parenting a baby as well. I connected with a group of ladies the first time around and it was very helpful so I look forward to sharing this journey with you as well.
Lisa - I should be doing a 5dt. My RE doesn't like doing 3dt and on top of that doesn't transfer anything less the 7 cells. So I am kind of excited about a 5dt, just hoping I have embies that make it that far. I defiantly don't want to go in another 2ww with embies that in my heart, i know will not make it. Yes, Positive engery is good. I need to find my Positive enery, I lost mine a few months ago and haven't been able to get it back. I am sure I will be ready to go by June/July time.
Carrie - I try not to feel differently to those that have already have had IVF success. We all deserve to have as many children as we want and we all are going through the agony of IVF. I would think having a successful IVF before will help you have another one now.
So what are your next steps? Are you doing BCP's. I have to wait for AF and then do more testing at my new clinic. They want to check my AMH, inhabin B, and NK cells. I think my DH also has do do another SA. Can't wait to get all the test done with, get my schedule, order my meds and then just sit around till I get to start all the injections.

I'm pretty sure I'll be trying another FET in June. I just got a BFN (FET) yesterday. I, too, have one IVF miracle, a son. He was my first IVF attempt miracle baby. I am obviously blessed and lucky to have him, but I so want another child. I want him to have a sibling. I'm expecting to hear from my RE this afternoon in regards to when I can start again. At my clinic, our docs make us have a normal period inbetween. So, I think that will put me in June for my next go. I hope so anyways, because my clinic closes for three weeks in July and three weeks in December for cleaning and regulations. (Doesn't that seem weird??)
Hello to my June/July buddies!

Sarah - So sorry about your BFN. Getting a negative is really hard to take. At least you know that this process can work because you have your miracle baby to prove it. Lots of people say that FET's can be better because your body is on less meds so you have a good shot at getting a BFP in June/July.
I jumped the gun saying I'd join this thread! I talked to my RE this afternoon after my BFN yesterday and he said that I'll be able to do another FET right away with this next cycle. That means I'm just waiting for AF and then I'll be on my way again. I'm really excited and already over the BFN. Forward and onward!!!

P.S. I may stick around on this board too!

Congrats Sarah, we all hate waiting around to start. Good thing you can get the show on the road and are closer to your BFP. Stay around, we will be here for a while.
Hi everyone! First I'd like to say good luck sarah.
Carrie I feel the more the merrier and it's good to have someone on here that is proof it actually works.
Chris thanks for starting this up.
Because we waited two years to try again we have to do some more test such as HIV, 3 day bloodwork and other bloodwork. On Friday my dh has to do his SA. (Even after all these years I still have to bring it in the clinic for him) After all that I have to call on the first day of my period in may(Probably late May)to start my birth control pills and schedule my training and that dreaded test. Yuck! Hopefully it should fall between the last week in June beginning of July, but I can't always count on my cycle to do the right thing.
Still I think this time I'm going to pamper myself a little and take a little more time off from work. I always blamed going back to soon for the first BFN. Who knows? I can't go backwards from now on only forwards.
Well, ladies let me klnow how things are going with you. Lisa

Well, this is indeed the board for me afterall! I got AF today after my BFN last cycle--boy this is fun! (Much worse than normal---TMI, sorry!) That means that I now have a plan. I will start Lupron on May 7th, wait for the next AF and then start Estrace either Tuesday May 19th or May 26th. That means that my FET will either be Thursday June 4th or June 11th!!
I'm a teacher and my last day of work for the summer is Wednesday June 10th, so maybe the 11th would be the best date. We'll see how it falls. I decided with this last cycle that I tried to manipulate it too much, so I resolved myself to taking time off of work if I needed to. I can easily tell them I want to wait until the 11th and stay on Lupron the extra week, but I'm not 100% I should do that as that's what I did last cycle and it failed. I'm just going to leave it up in the air for a game time decision!!!
I'm really excited to be back in the saddle! I sure hope this is the cycle I'll be able to give my little Jack (2 yrs) a sibling!! I'll be transferring two more embryos. Positive vibes please!!!

Hi All -
I am joining the group too. We just went through a failed FET and are going to try again ASAP. I just started on BCP and will be on those until the beginning of May, and then will start down regulation with norethindrone and lupron. My scheduled transfer date is the 3rd or 4th of June.
This will be our last chance. We had a first try BFP with IVF (after years of failure with everything else). We had 5 frosties to work with. Our last cycle one did not survive the thaw, and the other two were transferred, which obviously didn't work. So, we now have 2 embies left and I am praying that they survive the thaw and have a chance for transfer. Our RE doesn't know why the FET failed. He said that on paper everything looked perfect, even the embryos. But, he said they must have been genetically abnormal and that's why it didn't work. I had a lot of cramping during my 2ww, very localized on sharp on my right side. I don't know what it was, but I feel like that's the reason for the bfn. I am having an ultrasound on Tuesday to see if they can find anything. I worry about it being hydrosalpinx.
In the mean time, I am "recovering" from the PIO shots. My very last one I hit a nerve and have had ridiculous pain on my right side. My chiro said it could take 6-12 months to heal, but it is already starting to feel slightly better.
Good luck to all of us. I look forward to being on this journey with all of you fine ladies!
It sounds like we're in almost the exact same boat! My son was born from a BFP FIRST IVF fresh cycle back in Feb. '07. That means our sons are a few months apart. I just had a failed FET earlier this week....and now we're down to our last 5 embryos. We may have one more try after this one, but I tell you, the financing of this is getting difficult! I wish you the best of luck. It sounds like we may be right on track together!! Here's hoping to a BFP FET for us!!!

Now I am starting to feel left out, I am the only one so far TTC my 1st. O'well at least I can ask everyone the stupid pregnancy questions once I get my BFP.
EYCI - Welcome to the board. So you have 2 embies left for transfer? The PIO haven't been too bad for me but I have a lot of extra padding in the rear. The thing I find weird is that 2 or 3 weeks after I am done with my shots, the shot areas start to itch a lot and I feel like I have a bruise there. The first time I was on PIO I thought it was just my imagination but it also happend the 3rd and 4th time I was on PIO. Hope you recover sooner the 6-12 months.
sbr - Yey, you get to stay on the board. June 11th would seem like the best time to do your transfer since you will be out of school but I understand the hesitation and manipulating your body. Sometimes I feel that the less drugs we have in our bodies the better off we might be. What does your RE think?
AFM- I hate insurance companies. I am lucky enough to live in a state where IVF is covered. Though my HMO is a pain in my as*. I am still fighting with them to cover ER and ET from my last cycle. They keep on coming back saying that this isn't covered and that isn't covered. I finally have gotten them to cover all the actual DR's bills but now they are saying most of the hospital bill for ER was not covered. What the heck, How can you cover the Dr to do the treatment but not cover the the actual hospital where the procedure is being done? I usually have to send them some hate mail and then they change everything and pay my bills but it just sucks having to deal with it. Also I want to change to this new RE. The RE said he is covered under my insurance but the insurance company says they are not contracted with this RE. So the RE's office and the insurance company are duking it out. I find out next week if my insurance will cover my new RE. so that is my rant for today.
tohavefun: Don't feel left out! Think of it as us sending you positive energy that IVF CAN WORK!!!! It is a little strange that several of us are going for #2 though. My first board had tons of ladies and it was only me and one other that had a previous IVF child. Every group is a bit different. You just have the luxury of knowing that it's worked for us, so it can work for you too!!!
Insurance companies do suck. You are lucky that you have coverage though. We're going on our 20 thousandth dollar for IVF with this cycle!!! YIKES! That's a new car for pete's sake! I know a lot about working with insurance companies, though because my husband had a heart transplant 13 years ago and we're constantly battling with medical bills and insurance crap! We can't complain too much, though. He's really really healthy!!!
