The therapist just has to come to check on them on their developmental stuff since they were 10 weeks early. If they are on track then we do not have to meet with her again unless they do not start walking by 15 mths. So really just a check up that they do for preemies. I do not think we have anything to worry about though.

So Nick talked to his boss today about going full time now that graduation is coming nearer. This is normal and what he was supposed to do a month before graduation. His boss states that because of the economy we will see what we can do. WHAT?! He has been there for 7 years! It is about time he goes to full time management instead of part time! UGH!!! So please pray he goes full time when he graduates because I dunno what we will do if he does not for there is no way we can live off of his pay check without student aide!

Thanks for the replies ladies I really appreciate it. We know A is on her left side and B is on her right side, but I guess I didn't even think about them being able to move around more. I'll tell her what you ladies said and I already had mentioned to her that they probably are exact opposites in personality and B is probably going to be the calm one. She's tired of me calling them A and B and she's tired of saying it as well so we named them now

A: Cael Landon
B: Zachary Brayden

What do you ladies think about the names???

Bigrediowan - Those are great names! I too feel silly calling them A and B. "B" is our boy and I'm pretty sure his name is going to be Jackson but I have no clue what our little girls name is going to be. So I guess we'll be sticking with A and B a little longer lol!

Wait until I tell my wife you said that, she'll laugh her butt off in agreement. :D Jackson is a good name Annie and good luck finding a girl name. We would've been able to pick out girl names easier than boys names.

BIGRED: I agree that boy names are harder. I had to laugh at the names as well...my husband wanted to name our son (if we had one) after Crouch on Nebraska! We had girls though and did not get stuck with a football boy! But hopefully the next round we will get a boy out of it and I may let him do it!

Ladies/and gents of babies! I need your help! Mackenzie is refusing to eat. No solids, she does not want the bottle....this is not reflux. Is this teething?? If so, what do I do!? I do not want her to get dehydrated but she will not take anything. She locks her mouth shut and screams at me!!!! I gave her some tylenol so we will see if that help. I do not want to give her the teething tablets unless I know she is teething. I will tell you she is chewing on her sippy cup and it is such a hard nipple thing but she loves it. And she ate some cold bananas (like 3 bites) before screaming. UGH poor baby!!

try giving her ice pops to suck on even if its the pedilyte ones so she doesnt dehydrat and if its her teeth it will feel good. You can even take a clean wash cloth dmapen it and stick it in the freezer kids love sucking the water out.

Just need to vent really fast....

Ok so I was looking at our credit cards today (which we are trying to pay off and never use again...Financial Peace University stuff) and I was looking at our Citi Card and they made our interest rate go to 30%!!!! NO JOKE! I called and was FURIOUS! I mean how are you supposed to pay things off with an interest rate like that. From 9% to 30% are you kidding me?!?! They tell me it is the economy. I really think they are just trying to take advantage of people now to be all honest. So they dropped it to 15% which is still insane to me but whatever. So annoying when I can not work and husband is only part time. I really hope that once he graduates he can go full time right away because this is just insane. His boss stated that he wants him to go full time because he deserves it but because of the economy he does not know when and to hang in there....UGH!!!! I mean seriously. This economy excuse needs to end lol.

Other wise the girls have colds. A girl coughed and sneezed in Kenzies face so I know that is how it started. So they are not sleeping well and are crabby. Poor things. So no break for me today since they are on different schedules since they are not napping well.

Mackenzie at the moment is helping me type this!

Anyways, off to work around the house while holding this girl. She does not want me to put her down! Very rare for my girls to want me to hold them all the time

HI guys,

I had an incident last night. I had regular contractions 5 mins a part and went to the Labor and Delivery at around 1 pm on a taxi. My contractions were regular there, too, but after they'd given me some IV, it slowed down. So, here I am at home discharged! I don't know what it was but I am glad the baby decided to stay put. It was really strange going there by myself. But it kind of woke me up in a way that it can really happen any time. I am trying to take it easy today and hopefully the rest of the ramaining days... I hadn't even packed a hospital bag so I hurried and did that at 12 am last night. Talk about procrastinating till last minute!

Suga-- my kiddos have cold, it's been like more than 10 days and it's getting really old. So messy with their snots!!

Anyways, hope you guys have a good Easter. We were planning to take the kids to the local egg hunting event, but I think Mike'll just take Sean there and nanny would watch the twins!

ooooh someone's smelly! I think diaper change time!

Kimi~ I'm getting so excited to see some pics of Saya! Seems a few weeks early though. . . .maybe soon though! Enjoying your time off yet?

Suga~ Bummer about the card! Seems you can't win right now. We don't have any balances on our cards but we have also been informed we better start so they don't close the card. Apparently, paying them off every month doesn't make the bank any money and therefore, they don't like us! We already had one company card shut down! I like to have them for emergency so I guess I better go charge something! :)
Good luck with your husbands job! I'll keep my fingers crossed~
Also, about the eating. . . I don't worry about things like that unless it goes on for days. Then I just keep trying different things. Good luck~

Bigred~ Cute names! Boys names are harder for me as well so I have left if up to dh! I chickened out! So far the baby is Brayton Elliot. Elliot is dh's middle name so at least all three of our children now have family names. My babies were exact opposites outside the womb. The baby that was calm is now mild and mellow and my wild girl in the womb is so mellow now. Go figure!

I better run. . . my kiddos refuse to nap and we are not heading out today until they both do so! I better go see what the problem is.
Have a GRAT Easter everyone!

How much weight should babies gain at 8mo-12 mo? I know it slows down. They are like gaining a pound a month....does that sound about right? They used to gain 2 lbs a month. I mean they have cut down on some food and are eating more solids which I know have less calories but still...and how tall should they grow? An inch every 2 months or more??

Hi guys! I have some questions about breastfeeding twins. I need some advice on how to prepare for the first few weeks. I plan to pump so my husband and mother can feed them, too. Here goes:

What kind of bottle did you use?
What size bottles did you start with and how many?
What size nipples?
Did you use a bottle warmer or did you just boil some water and let the bottles sit in it?
Can I use any standard bottle with breast pumps?

Thanks for any advice and help!

cocosmomma: I did not BF but I use Dr. Browns bottles because of their reflux and they help with gas. With them being preemie I had 12 4 oz bottles now I have 13 8 oz bottles. But I formula feed. If you are going to BF as well I am sure you do not need as many bottles unless you are doing daycare of something and need someone else to feed them. I say get enough bottles to last you the day! No need to be washing bottles all the time! Nipples, size one to start out with. I use a bottle warmer. You can put breast milk in warm water to thaw out but do not use a microwave with breast milk as it takes out all the good stuff. I know with medella pumps (i used this for a bit) it only took those bottles then you could freeze them in bags or the bottles themselves. Anywhoo, there are other moms on here that BF and did that solely!
