CT_Michele - I had my first beta today and it was positive. Ya! :D I go next Tuesday for my 2nd beta. Hopefully it will cont. to be good. My level they said is normal at 211, estro @ 290 and prog @ 56. Please move me out of the 2ww.

Just so you know, I did cheat. I could not stand it any longer. I used 6 hpt's, I know that's a lot, but different brands and all were positive.
To all of those in 2ww don't be afraid to test. Remember, if you get a negative it may be too early and/or you may have to wait for the blood work. Every women is different. Try to stay positive (it's hard I know) and relax.

Have a great weekend.

CONGRATULATIONS HOPEFUL!!!! BFPs are continuing to roll in...yaay!

Nicole and Tabatha, just wanted to let you know that I'm also experiencing a little pain in my lower left abdomen. I stood up from my desk and kinda of stretched (because I'm exhausted) and felt the pain. Now it's lingering a little. I've read that it's common to have light pain in this region from the stretching of ligaments of your uterus as it prepares for the baby to grow. So let's all have a PMA and go with that theory, ok?

Hopeful, Congrats on your BFP!!

Wishful, I got my first BFP on HPT on 6dp5dt. I used a digital one and later did the kind with 2 lines. I'm glad I did a digital one first and saw it said YES+, since when I later did the 2 lines kind the line was so faint I don't think I would have believed it. Good luck with your POAS!!

Josee, Have you tried a digital HPT yet?

Hazel, Glad your ER went well. You are brave for only having a local. Get some rest now :)

AFM: I'm just feeling a bit nausous this morning. I'm having a hard time getting ready. I think I just waited to long to eat.

Has anyone had sex during their 2ww? Just wondering when it will be safe to do that again? I'm finding it difficult to hold out, but I don't want to risk anything.

Trying, I did the day before beta #1...dh was getting to be quite pitiful  I think most women here were instructed not to for 2 weeks. I wasn't told one way or the other but technically it had been 2 weeks on the night we did it anyway. I researched this at some point and was surprised at how many women were told no sex until after 10 weeks or first trimester....sheesh!! This was another one of those things where each clinic seems to be so different that it's best to just go with whatever your RE tells you. :)

Regarding sex: My RE is requesting to abstain for 1 week after ET. I think RE's generally give 1-2 weeks, to be on the safe side, because they just don't know how "strenous" a couple may normally have during intercouse. LOL.

I was instructed not to have sex during the 2ww and then once I got pregnant with my son, we weren't to "do it" for 6 more weeks....I think that's still my clinic's protocol. Every clinic is different....follow your RE's instructions. You won't want to kick yourself later!! :D

Thanks for everyone's replies! Wow sbr- 6 weeks is a long time! I will have to ask my RE I guess.

I had a miscarriage about 12 years ago. I had started spotting right after having sex then within a couple days it turned to bright red blood and cramps and then ended up miscarrying at about 8 weeks. Who knows if that was the reason why or if it would have just happened anyways, but either way I'm now a bit more freaked out about having sex too early now.

Wow Tabatha! That's a high number! You could have more than one in there! We are on the same time line (19dp3dt) so I'll get to compare our numbers later if my clinic ever calls!!! :o

What a fun question! We need a little zing in here once in a while to spice things up
I was told to wait until beta results. As a former Labor & Delivery nurse, I can't imagine it will hurt much unless, like sportsmom said you get a little too strenuous about it.
I'm wondering who's having a hard time waiting- him or you-HEHE. Don't answer that. I did hear those pregnancy hormones get some girls really revved up :o

Cynthia I totally hear you about the pitiful husband thing. It seems most of the time we "do it" it's out of pity for him.
BTW- The last two nights I must of hit a blood vessel on my way when doing PIO. No blood when I pulled back before injecting, but a good bit after I took needle out. Those hurt. I got a good chuckle about the story of you pulling needle out. I've had many a patient do that. How are you fairing with your heating pad? Did it help at all?
Hazel: Good job with your 6 embies and for doing only local. I was so knocked out with sedation, I don't even remember leaving the room to go to the OR! I can't imagine it was that great, since they can only numb your vagina, but not the ovaries where their plucking the eggs out of. Your a tough cookie.
SBR- so glad to hear AF came and you can start right away.
Tabatha- awesome numbers!
Hopeful- Congrats on BFP!!!!
Josee- So glad you got into the clinic. It's amazing how fate works.
Sorry if I missed others- my thoughts are with everyone though

AFM: Guess what I did this morning, POAS- it was BFN of course because I'm only 5dp5dt. This is me who said I would never HPT before beta- HaHa for that. I'm not as strong as I would like to pretend I am
Maybe Michelle has worn off on me and I will do some HPT's before beta. I don't have any left so we'll see how that works out. Too bad there's so many stores around me :?
At least today and this weekend will keep me busy so I probably won't obsess about it again until Sunday night. Maybe Monday I'll check it again since beta is on Tuesday. I definitely want to do it day of beta so I can prepare myself. I have to say though, I feel better about the chance of this one working out. Can pin point some reasons, but mostly it's just a gut feeling. Hopefully I'm right :)
Have a great weekend ladies!

estrellita, I transferred 2.

aims327, I'm not sure why so long. I was thinking 2 weeks at the most...what do I know?! So far I haven't heard of anyone else having to wait until 8-9 weeks for the first u/s. Guess there is a first for every thing and I'm it :D
