Anyone going through IVF while DH is gone?

Wondering if anyone is going through IVf while your DH is gone. My husband works on a ship off of Africa and will be gone for most of my treatment. Looking for a buddy who may have a spouse away in military/work.

OMG

I couldn't hardly believe this post when I saw it. This is my 1st IVF try and hubby is deployed to Djibouti Africa (he is military). He will be gone till August and my ER is schedule for 1st of May, so I will be doing all this alone

We tried so hard to schedule this around him being gone...but it just didn't work out! I'm so excited but very nervous too!

I would be greatful to be able to talk to someone else doing this without DH

That is so crazy! Both in Africa! My husband works on an oil exploration ship of the coast of Angola.
Anyway if you want to read my history, i just started a blog. www.myfertilityexperience.blogspot.com
i start my shots on monday and my ER will eithor be the 8th/11th/12th. We are keeping our fingers crossed that they send my DH home during that week, in time for the implantation around the 15th. Although, I was hoping he would be home for the egg retrievel more than the implantation since it is a more invasive procedure. Oh well!
When do you start your stuff? Have you found some one to take you to your ET appt? DO you know if someone has to drive you to the implantation appt, b.c i need to line that up if so?

Hey Girls~ My DH is in the military too! He is home from Iraq but now away for training, you know how it is gone gone and gone I am keeping my fingers crossed he will be home in time for ER and ET. Good luck with your cycles and wishing you both BFP!!!

Hey Kelly, I started my Lupron last Friday, took my last BCP yesterday and have my baseline ultrasound, bloodwork and will start my stims next Friday the 24th. I'm so excited....I can hardly wait to get these eggs to grow

My mom is going to take me to my ER & ET. During the ET I will be taking a sedative to relax me, and so I won't be able to drive. I think I'm taking a valum or something like that! Anyhow, you may want to check and see how your RE does it.

My ER is just a few days before you.....I'm going to be a nervous wreck without DH around, but I'm thankful I have my mom close by!

So exciting. Let me know how your ER goes. I am super nervous about it, probably more so b/c of the DH not being here. I am going to call my office tomorrow and see what the protical is on that procedure. I thought I heard them say you were put to sleep but I am hearing alot of other people say otherwise.
I can't wait for monday when I start my shots. I have never wanted a weekend to be over so badly.

the other thing... do you know how many eggs they are implanting? our doc said they were going to do one unless we requested two. were you guys given this option?
