i'm not sure when i'll trigger for friday. maybe tom. night? i am wanting to wait until mothers day to find out if it worked. i'm hoping the clinic can release my results in an email since mothers day is on a sunday. but..we will see...thats still over 2 weeks away.

QUESTION: for those close to transfer have you thought about how many embryos to transfer?? what was recommended to you?? DH was me to do 3 but i'm so scared for triplets, i can handle twins but triplets makes me so nervous...anyone else thought about this?

mom2luke those are great numbers! yes, we are close on our ER. I went for my daily stim check this morning and I had 20 countable follys. They've brought my injection all the way down from 450 to 150 cause I seem to be stimming too fast. They're trying to slow it down to do the ER on Saturday or Sunday. I think the 2ww starts from ET. But your beta depends on if they do a 3dt or 5dt.

Mom2luke Me and DH are planning to tranfer 2. Just talk it over and think what is best for you two. You still have time to decide. But just have in mind that tranfering 3 is just chances you'll be taking. It doen't mean all 3 will implant. But I know what you mean about 3. My sister also tells me you should tranfer 3!

I tell her I can't go from 0 to 3 at once!

but tranfering 2, we also have a small chance of more than 2

That's nice to have the results close to Mothers Day. I was calculating that I would get mines by that day but I think it'll be a few days after

Mom2luke,
I was told that they usually transfer maximum two embryons. However I am also 39 and I do not know if that makes a difference. Here in Spain the max they can transfer is three embryones.

Hello All - Today starts my sixth day on menopur + lupron. I went for check this morning, I have about 5 follicles on each side, 10 total (ranging in size of 8 - 12).
Waiting for blood results. This seems like a low count, has anyone heard differently? I didn't think of asking until I left and now I'm panicking that its not enough.

estrellita ...I will be getting 1 bravelle and 2 menopur together .. what is your dose ?? do u do bravelle and menopur together??? my nurse said do it in one shot....

SarahD We are only 3 days apart on our cycle. 10 is a good number, I think. If they thought it was not a good count they would have let you know. Don't worry, they are still small and you still have chance to grow more

Faith we are on the same dose

they haven't show how to mix the med? Yes, one shot for both. Thanks God!!!

We are planning to transfer two. That's pretty much all our clinic will do if the woman is under 35 and they think her chances are fairly decent. Plus, there is always the chance one or both will divide into identicals. I think they said they had 5 set of triplets last year because one egg split after transfer.

statsgoddess how are your stim shots going? Are you feeling anything yet?

Faith Are you doing the stim shots yourself?
You know last week one day my DH got home a little late and I got the Lupron injection ready to do it mysel. I tried and tried for about half hour, but I couldn't. I called my sister, I was going to her house so she could do it for me, she laughed and told me: you are such a chicken!

But thanks God DH got home.

estrellita - the stims are going okay so far. they hurt/sting for a few minutes afterward, but not too bad. i told DH he can't travel until these shots are over with because i don't think i can handle sticking myself. i think i've been pretty moody lately, but i guess that's part of it, lol. how are you doing?

also, i heard there was some sort of prescription numbing cream you can get that helps with the PIO shots. i'm going to ask about it tomorrow when i go in for u/s.

I also was moody at the beg, but I'm not sure if it was the med. I get moody easy

I just been having this headache for ever!

when DH starts massaging my head, I tell him: forget about it! I'm already used to it! lol... I wont be doing PIO shots, so no idea. Good Luck, hope you can find something to help you with them.

I know what you mean about the headache - I think I've had one since I started the lupron. I'm jealous you won't be doing the PIO - I hear they are pretty awful! I'm hoping the headache will go away at that point, though!!

statsgoddess , i've heard about them too but didn't ask my nurse as I still have time till i get my PIO shots .. but yeah please find out and let us know .. I am really scared about them .. the needle is so big

. so tell me one thing u are also mixing bravelle and menopur with one diluent and mix everything in one shot ??? it sounded weird to me adding two meds in the same injection but she said yeah thats how u r supposed to do ...
so u are also getting one vial on bravelle and 2 vials of menopur ?? do they mix fine as I was thinking three powders with only 1 ml of diluent ???
isn't that dose a lot ??I dunno after such a simple dose of lupron all this looks kind of crazy to me ...they just showed me how to mix bravelle and menopur separately not three in one

plus I also have the video site as well...is it confusing ?? she said that if u think u'll have a problem come and we can show u but i don't wana go for just this ..i think i'll manage what do u say ..is it tricky ???

Sarah D i think 10 is a very good number .. it's actually not quantity but quality that one should be concerned about ..U'll do great !!!!will keep my fingers crossed

statsgoddess on one side I'm happy I won't have to do the PIO shot but on the other not sure if it's the best. The shots are more efficient than the pills

But hopefully pills will be enough for me

I am getting 1 Bravelle and 1 Menopur. But yes, you mix them together. They should let you know how to do it before you have to do it. If you have any questions and I can help, let me know
