I have already posted this on the ivf board, but I thought some of you ladies might have encouraging stories.
I am just hoping to hear some stories of live birth after multiple miscarraige. Any input about the miscarraiges would be great also.
My husband and I have been through four ivf attempts and one fet. We have gotten pregnant 3 out of the 5 times, but all have ended in miscarraige. One at 9 weeks and 2 around 6 weeks. We have male factor infertility, and I am supposed to be fine. The first two miscarraiges were considered to be because of poor embryo quality, although they were all 8 celled on day 3. The FET cycle was done with donor blastocyst, that were great quality. The doctor seems to think that the third miscarraige was just a fluke and that the first two were related. We still have six donor embryos left and we plan to transfer again in June. I am really worried that there is some underlying cause and we are just going to "waste" these embryos. I am very excited to start again, but don't know what to think. I have been on baby asprin, and the doc is going to add lovenox shots this round. I have not actually been tested for the clotting disorders, he is just doing this as a prevenitive measure.
Any input would be great. I just want to know that people go through similar situations and eventually have a positive outcome. Thanks!!
After 7 attempts (2 negatives/3 miscarriages), we have TWO miracle boys!! If you would like to hear our story, please visit http://www.ivfsuccessstories.info. Never give up, it can happen for you!!
I am so sorry for your losses. I have only suffered 1 miscarriage and it was devastating......you must be very strong.
The story I'm actually here to share with you is not about me but about a friend. She had 6 miscarriages before she had her son. She was doing IUI's with a local RE. Her tests revealed the lost fetus's had trisomies. Her RE told her she should do IVF with PGC. She couldn't afford it and decided to continue with IUI's. She dropped her RE and had her regular OB/GYN take over. Then she became pregnant with her succesful pregnancy. So, I have no idea how she got through all those losses but she did come out the other side with a healthy baby boy who is now 4 years old!
Best of luck to you in the future.
