Thanks Bonnie....it's good to hear from others who know what it's like. We are trying to find the good in this and having my daughter Sophie to look at and care for makes it a bit better.

All the best to you,

Missy

Missy~I am so terribly sorry about your baby. This is horrible news. I think what you experienced is my greatest fear right now and my heart goes out to you. It is truly a nightmare. I can only imagine the pain you are feeling right now. Big hug for you.

Good morning my fellow 40's,
Little bit of news. Saw the Doctor on Mon for testing & screening. So far so good. Took a bunch of meds home-dh learned how to give the shots in the office & more meds delivered to us yesterday. Just waiting for AF so they can sync my cycle w/the donors. Maybe June, huh? We are so excited! How come no one mentioned the daily shots for 3 mos? Ladies, ladies, ladies. I was a little shocked- in addition to other shots. Oh well. I didn't expect this to be a painless procedure. Been reading up on how to tell children & family. Some books out there I definitely want to get-very interesting.
Been busy w/work & tasks around the house. Tomorrow is me & dh's 4th year anniversary. Going to dinner w/my folks. Going gambling in Detroit on Saturday-spending the night there-only 3 hour drive. Looking forward to it.
How is everyone? Busy too? Didn't mean to fall off the face of the earth.
Carolyn, been praying for u honey. If anyone has any quest's re: 1st appt I would be happy to answer them since it's so fresh in my mind. Sending out lots & lots of PMA & babydust to all of you!!! Missed u all!
Smiles!

Sabi: Good to hear that you are on track with your next cycle. I plan to take the Femara with my early May cycle. I will have an ultrasound to see if it actually works by giving me more than one follie and of course I will take a trigger shot to ensure that all follies release their eggs.

I had to take daily progesterone shots for the first 12 weeks when I was pregnant with DS. You get used to them. DH was a pro at giving the shots by the time we were done.

Sharon: Sorry to hear that you are sad.

Hi everyone

I'm new here, thought I would join. I have my transfer in Saturday, I had three day five Compacted embryos transferred, I'm 42, the consultant told me with the three at the same stage I have a 20 % chance of a successful pregnancy. I'm not sure if this is a good chance or not?

After six miscarriages (past five years) and one failed ivf (this is our second ivf) I'm a little nervous, test day is Aug 6, just a week away and this time the longest week ever.

My cramps have stopped totally, breasts not to painful either just a slight headache but taking progesterone twice daily so I expect it's that causing headache.

I did hypnosis visualisation and acupuncture this time around and (last time only five with two to transfer on day two) I got 17 eggs, 12 verbalised and all made it to day five but then none didn't make it to blast so we've none to freeze, I have had the only three that were all compacted embryos verging on blast they said.

Anyone else had similar experience ?

Cautiously excited and also a little nervous, worried etc
