Hi ladies, I have my baseline u/s and b/w on Friday I should start my stims Friday night...I'm so excited, but nervous too! How are you ladies doing that are stimming already?? Any advice?

I totally understand about the headache thing, I have had one since I started Lupron as well. I'm hoping the headache will go away once I start stimming, but I will probably just get another side effect once the headache goes away Oh well, its all worth it..RIGHT GIRLS

I hope everyone is doing well in their cycles, I can't wait till we start getting some BFP!!!!!!! Talk to yall later

estrellita , yes the nurse did but not three powders in 1 ml of diluent does it mix fine ??will tell u tom how it went ...

Awww! What are PIO shots? They don't sound fun.

I am so glad you brought up the number of embryo's to transfer b/c I have been battling that in my head for weeks. The doc says one unless we request two. I say ONE, and the DH says two. He is away ALOT for work, so its easy for him to say that. I think twins would be great if he were home like a normal person, but I can't imagine myself with twins alone for 4 weeks. I think that is terms for suicide right there. THen there is the other part of me that feels like it may be good. We planned on having lots of kids and twins would be making up for the 3 1/2 years we have been trying to conceive. And it would up are chances of the IVF working the first time. Its such a hard decision!!! I told him we should put a bunch of 1's and 2's in a hat and pull.

dixie_chop--at first i was against multiples but when our IUI failed and we realized this would not be an easy process i'm ok with twins. we have agreed upon (and our doc did as well) transferring 2.

so--went to the doc today and will trigger tonight and ER on friday. had 4 19mm follicles and lots of other smaller ones. crazy becuase yesterday i had one 17 and that one was my biggest!! i'm really nervous but cannot wait to get this all over with!! i hate the not knowing (as i'm sure everyone does)!!

faith03--if you have to mix 3 vials in 1 ml, it mixes fine, thats what i did.

estrellita - I was happy to see I'm not the only one moody. I find that I start crying all of a sudden about everything! I've been getting headaches as well. Until I read the posts here I wouldn't have realized that it was from the cycling.

faith 03 - thanks for the encouragement. Tomorrow is my 3rd ultrasound. They increased the menopur to 4 vials (300 u), lets see what that does.

dixie chop can I ask, how old are you? DH & I haven't started talking about the transfer number. I just turned 35. I'm concerned about twins as well, but we've been trying for about 3 1/2 years as well.

SarahD - I am 27, DH is 28. Eithor way, i won't be disappointed. We probably should have decided this before the increased hormones, b/c my mood/decisions seems to change everyday. Yesterday I was adamant that we do one, today I am leaning toward two. I am going to talk to the doc about it when I go in on monday for my U/S and B/W. I have questions for him b.c I was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto's Disease. They say that you have an increased risk of miscarriage or no implantation with it. In light of this new diagnosis, he may recommend 2. That would make my decision alot easier.

hi everyone ,
Have a wonderful day with lots of positive things.
Me I am waiting for my period to arrive so I can start my cycle. I should get my period tommorow or saturday. I think its the first time in my life I wish for my period fast and that I am waiting for my period with lots of anticipation. Once I actually get started my dr. has me on BC for 12-14 days before starting the shorts. Have any of you done BC before the shots?

Hey everyone,
Well finally did my first stim shot last night and it was not a very good experience I felt alot of pain when medicine was not going in my skin ....As I tried to suck every single drop from the vials into the injection, I felt there was air on top in my syringe and when I tried to push the plunger to remove that air ,drops of medicine started coming out so I had to inject myself with that air and mixture filled inj..
Did anyone have this problem or is it just me... or is it suppose to be like this ???I'll ask my nurse as well ..
Hope tonight is goin to be better than yesterday

sara D , good luck with everything .. waw 4 vials of menopur ..are u still using bravelle ???i am sure at the end of all this u'll get some real good follies who'll turn into beautiful sticky embies

sarahd and estrellita - OMG, I think the moodiness has all of us. In the past week, I have burst into tears for no good reason more times than I care to remember. The DH has been pretty good about it, though.

mom2luke - good luck on your ER this weekend!

faith - I asked the clinic about the numbing cream and they called in a prescription. I still have to pick it up, but when I do, I'll let you know the name of it.

dixie_chop - welcome to the thread! PIO is progesterone in oil. It's the intramuscular shot in the rear every day after ER. Not looking forward to those!

So I went for my first u/s yesterday and had 4 follies over 10 mm on the right side and on the left side I had 2 over 10mm and 3 under 10mm. They called yesterday afternoon and said my estrogen level was a little high and reduced the follistem last night and I get to skip it this morning, take more tonight, then skip in the morning when I go to my next u/s. I definately feel (and look) more swollen today than yesterday. They said I am moving faster than they thought I would and I might be ready for ER as soon as Monday. I guess I'll know more tomorrow after my appointment.

Faith I think that to feel the air going in is ok because that's what I feel. But I make sure the syringe doesn't have bubbles before DH injects me. Sorry you had such a bad experience last night

Went for blood and US. Waiting on blood results.
US showed 5 follies on rt size
@ 15, 10, 9, 8 and 8
lft side is a problem...
about 4
1 at 9 and others under 8...
I'm getting worried. They say not to...but they increased the menopur on Tuesday and I don't think I'm reacting any better.

I then left the appt and got in the car started sobbing. This is crazy. At least when I write about it... I realize how incredibly crazy I am!

[b]faith 03[/b] - I'm not on Brevelle. But I'm getting ready to question the doc if my meds are the right ones. I figure I'll wait to see what they say during today's call. I had the same prob the first day of the shot. DH squirted it all up in the air. We needed to start again. I'm doing my shots IM. Its not that bad. DH is pretty good with them.

I am so glad to read this b/c no one told me about any shots in the butt! I wonder how I am supposed to do this by myself??? Hopefully they can give me another area or I may have to get really close to one of my neighbors.
SarahD and estrellita - I tried calling my nurse this morning to ask her about the Hashi's and the transfer # but she is out of the office today. I really need to decide before the hormone levels in me are increased and I am even less rationale than I am now.
SarahD - when do you find out if the increased Menopur is working?

Nothing else new with me...Stopped BC and just waiting on AF...Actually I am hoping it takes a couple days b/c the more I stall the closer I get to my husband coming home in time for the ER. Keeping my fingers crossed..I really don't want to have to go without him...

saraD--my follicles were not that big with my first ultrasound. i only had 10 and my largest was 12, so hang it there. they grew almost overnight for me.

estrelitta--it was nice to only have that one shot and now no more!! however, i am so bloated. i don't remember this happening last time i took the HCG. hubby was laughing at my stomach, its like overnight has grown so big!!

anyways--hope everyone is doing well.

dixie chop--wait util your ER and see how many eggs the docs tell you are good to transfer. it could all depend on how well the embryos develop and their quality.
