Morning Friends! I'm feeling better today than I did yesterday. Still have some tenderness but I'm not walking like an 80 year old anymore :D

faith03 I didn't have any signs of OHSS. My estradiol was very elevated during stims so they but me on a powerade/low sodium/high protein diet. After my ER they've given me medication for the OHSS and to continue with the diet. I personally can't tell if I'm OHSS right now or not! My lower abdomen (I think) has the normal swelling after ER but nothing to the extreme they described could happen.

Well, my fert report yesterday was out of 30 eggs only 17 were mature. Out of the 17...13 were fertilized with ICSI. My DH was kinda bummed about it because he thinks it's due to his male factor but I assured him that 13 was a great number. And really, how many kids does he want? LOL. So I should get another fert report today and hopefully we're still set to do a 5day transfer on Thursday. If they feel my embies wont make it to 5 days then it will be tomorrow.

I wish everyone the best of luck this week with all the upcoming beta results, ER's and ET's!!!!

Hi girls. Sorry I went MIA for a few days. Looks like a lot of good posts, just cant read all of them until tonight. Friday was a hard day, I got an email from a friend telling the whole world that his wife is pregnant (they have only been trying a couple of months) and of course it included the US pics.... definitely made me cry. Then I came across Pregnancy for Dummies on TV and they had a US pic of a baby at 9 weeks with a heart beat (which is the last time I saw mine before the mc). While I was taking my time off from baby stuff, things like that didnt get to me, I guess I blocked it out- but now that we are trying again, everything reminds me that I should be due in July and that I wish the little guy had stuck around for me.

Oh well, I am trying not to get my hopes up but my current symptoms are tightness in my abdomen, larger than normal nips (haha), constantly tired (i took a 4 hour nap yesterday) and major mood swings. I sure hope I see something I like on Thursday!

Have a great day ladies, I will try to get some personals done tonight.

Good Morning ladies!

waiting- I know it is hard to be around pregnancy stuff when going through ivf. It seems like everywhere you turn, there is agentle reminder that other people have it easy and we have to go through all this crap. Does your best friend know your struggles? I am keeping my fingers crossed for you...my first time around, sleepiness was the biggest symptom I had.

estrellita- sounds like you have some good follies there! I bet your trigger will be tomorrow night, but maybe you should still plan on being off friday. When I did ivf the first time, I think I worked the day after ER, but this time, there is no way I would hvae worked the day after, I was also walking like an 80 year old woman, like sportsmom said!

trx- good luck at ET...let us know how it goes.

sportsmom- haha, I was like the 80 year old too. DH and I were both hunched over in pain while walking around and I had a glimpse of what life will be like in 50 years! Let your dh know that 13 is a great number! This is all a numbers game and 13 is pretty high, so you guys are good!

hope2be- glad you are almost on your way. That picture of the embies does put everything in a whole new light. It makes it all real. It is just amazing to see that pic, and for me, to know what it can mean in 9 months. There was a time that I looked at that pic and had no idea what it meant, but now, I look at Ella, and I know exactly what it can mean.

kline- that is a crazy, and scary story. I am so glad you are ok, and you are right, everyone should be grateful for life and how beautiful it is. I count my blessings everyday. I was watching extreme makeover last night and having a sobfest just thinking about how lucky I am surrounded by people I love.

stats- good luck at ER on tuesday...it will be a lucky day for you b/c it's my b-day :D

hazel- haha- passengers on board! I am suprised to hear you do not get an embies pic in the uk...they should definitely give you one! I hope you enjoyed your lovely weekend, and don't worry, I had almost no symptoms the first time around, but I am right there with you trying to analyze every little thing. Did you do an hpt yet? Are you going to? May 1 is just around the corner!

Ok, I guess I gotta go. I gotta go get my license renewed today, and I have to try and do some schoolwork, I can not believe the semester is almost over and I am sooooo far behind. I might have to take a couple more incompletes this semester...ugh.

Ok so I have to vent for a minute. My RE's office called and said they have me "tentatively" scheduled to come in tomorrow for a 3 day transfer at 12:00 p.m. And to make sure I have a full day bladder. I"m to call her by 11:00 p.m. tomorrow to still see if it's a "go" or if they well reschedule it for thursday a 5 day transfer. I asked her if there was a problem with my embies as to why I'm scheduled for tomorrow and she said they don't look at them on day 2. That's why I'm on stand by for tomorrow. It's really frustrating to work my schedule around and to keep it quiet among co-workers. Of course I'm going to go tomorrow and do whatever I need to do but this chain jerking is really frustrating me.

Did anyone ever hear of the labs not looking at the embies on day 2? Is this standard and I'm blowing it out of proportion?

sportsmom- I also think a bunch of clinics do not look on day 2, I think they would rather no disturb them from the incubator. I knnow that it is so hard with work especially when you are keeping it hush hush for now. I think last time, I told work I had a couple medical procedures to be done and unfortunately I would not know what day until almost last minute. I was lucky this time I was not working, but I completely understand the frustration....vent away...that's what we are here for!

Neffi- you crazy crazy girl! I can't believe you have a tiny one at home, you just did a cycle and you are ready to go again. I do hope it works this time...I am glad to hear you uterus is all clear. Let me know when you get official word so I can put you back on the list under stimming!

mel- good luck to you and dh...we will be here when you decide to come back. Sometimes taking a break to clear your head is the best thing you can do.

Hi! Just came back from ET. My RE recommended to transplant 3 embies because of my age. Though scared, my DH and I agreed with it. Everything went well. My Beta is scheduled on May 7. Thanks for the prayers.

God bless us all.

statsgoddess- just keep yourself hydrated for the day and dont go to the bathroom for 2 hours before the procedure and you should be fine. they will check you when you arrive and will let you know if it is full enough or if ya'll will have to wait a little longer. I am not going to lie... it is uncomfortable but only bc of the bladder. You will be able to go to the bathroom immediately after the transfer.

Quick question- what is the rule on caffeine again? i didnt drink coffee when I was going through IVF so I never paid attention to it and now that I am somewhat addicted, I guess I should know
