mom2luke : thanks for the response , yeah I thought so too .......

Dixie chop : I am using 27 guage 1/2 inch needle .. they are pretty much similar to the lupron ones .. i am not sure if u used lupron though..

The nurse called and said that they are pretty happy with the results and want me to continue with the same dose ....I don't know wether she said that cause i was panicking or she really meant that

thanks faith and mom2luke! i also found a fertility website that had injection directions and listed the gauge. super helpful. i think the larger size just came with the syringe. I ended up using a 28gauge. I am so glad i didn't use the other ones b.c they are huge.

so fast update... i went for my US and BW this morning. They said everything was good and started me on the Menopur and Follistum. I took my last dose of Lupron this morning. I am supposed to go back on thurs, sat, mon, tues and wed. YIKES!!! My office is just thrilled, let me tell ya. But they are not my first priority, and I have to remind myself of that.

ikiban - what new with you? when is your ER? I think mine is the 8th.

hey ladies,

wow, all this big needle talk is making me nervous. Didn't know that the needle type would change with the different drugs. I went on YouTube an searched IVF injections. Believe it or not, there are videos showing you how to inject yourself. I watched it last night and I still can't seem to inject myself!

Hi Dixie_chop, nothing new with me. Just been really tired all week since Lupron - I think it could be psychologic. I've got FSH injection class on Wednesday. I'll also be on Menopur. ER probably on the 17th. You'll be about a week ahead of me. I am super excited for you! I hope it goes well.

anyone ever done an egg transfer? i'm really nervous because they are giving me valium ( i am a wimp on drugs) so is it really that bad??

mom2luke-- dont worry about your egg transfer at all. Its very easy...it worst part is your full bladder. I get a shot to relax me as well, I think it is just so your body is not tense. All that will happen is....your RE will clean your cervix so some cold and wet stuff with a speculum in....just like at the OB/GYN then they use an u/s to see where they will put your embies. There is a thing that looks like a cath they they insert....its not painful, maybe unconfortable, but it doesnt bother me....then they make sure your embie are in and thats it! some places use a cath to empty your bladder and other dont....I promise it's not too bad, relax and enjoy the fact that this willbe the day you are PREGNANT!

AFM-- started stims last night....follistum ad menopur.

Ikiban Don't get scared about the needles, they are small. The trigger one is the big

AFM ER will be Thursday!!! yuuuupiiii! Finally! but tonight's injection got me nervous

Hi everyone !! have a quick question .. I am on stims for the last six days and went in for my u/s and b/w yesterday .. I am on bravelle ,menopur and lupron .. since last night I feel pressure in my lower abdomen on both sides and also have some cervical mucus ..am peeing very frequently too..It's the feeling that u get when u r ovulating although the cervical mucus is not alot but I am just dead scared .. I even called my nurse and left amessage ..Did anyone of you experience the same feeling?? Can u ovulate even if you are on lupron ?? Any info would be helpful ,

i also had the "ovulation" feeling. but when they did they u/s i had not. maybe its because we have so many big follicles?

mom2luke ..really u got that feeling too ??I thought i am ovulating .. .. the nurse called and said that it's unlikely to ovulate but it could be that your ovaries are getting bigger and that discomfort could be because of that..she also suggested me to take high sodium foods like potatoe chips and drink gatorade ....just to be on the safe side ...did u get some cervical mucus as well???They did my U/S yesterday .. do u think today I should get it done again ??

estrellita the trigger shot was actually very painless. I didn't feel it at all when DH injected me...honestly. The RE's office called me today and said they cancelled the ET today and I'm all set for Thursday to do a 5day transfer. I'm so excited and that's what I was hoping we would do. Good luck tonight on the trigger and let us know how it goes!

it's just some pressure in my abdomen which wasn't there before ..I hope everything is ok in there..

faith 03-i wouldn't worry about it (but i myself did when it was me:)) how big is your lead follicle? when is your next u/s?

we, have to, learn to trust the RE's and remember this is what they do for a living. its very hard for me to remember that but i have to tell myself that all the time. i just have to say everyday "this is what they do and know and they are the experts" i still in my head question everything they do but...its hard. hang in there!!
