hi everyone, my name is Josee i was part of the march and april group.........I did my first ivf and it was BFN i really took it hard,but now one week later im ready to start over. i think that many of us are in the same boat and are here for the same reasons......we need support!!!!!!!

Wickedwheel - Glad to see that you are ready to start the IVF roller coaster again. The 3rd time will be the charm for both of us.


Tanya - Welcome to the board. So sorry about your M/C. I have a friend that just had a similar situation. She got her BFP the same day I got my BFN with my last cycle. She went in for her 2nd beta and her # wasn't where they wanted it to be. Turns out she had a blighted ovum. They gave her some meds to pass it this past weekend. I feel for both of you, it sucks that you finally get your BFP and then have it taken away. Hope that your July cycle will be much better.

sprouthaus - This board will probably be so busy in a few weeks, we won't be able to keep up. Third time will be the charm for you also. Can't wait to celebrate our BFP's. I am really excited about my next protocol. It is really out of the ordinary to what I have been doing. Hope my body reacts to the meds like it is supposed too. What protocol will you be doing?

Jossee - Welcome to the board. Sorry about your BFN. The first BFN is so hard because we get our hopes up so much. Glad to see that you are ready to cycle again. I was like that after my first cycle. Thought I wanted to take a couple months off then a week or two after my BFN I was ready to start again. Good Luck.

My back is still giving me trouble. A guy at work just gave me some muscle relaxers so hopefully those will kick in. I actually went to my Dr and she prescribed me some Tylenol 3. I took that last night and it helped but I don't want to be taking the Tylenol 3 during the day. I am going out of town this weekend to visit my sister in Peoria, IL. She has a 2 yr old and a 7month old so it will be good to see them.

josee - welcome to the group!

thf-08 - Have fun in Peoria and take care of your back! I will be doing an antagonist protocol for this third round, possibly with estrogen priming (still getting opinions, etc). I hope, hope, hope that this is the right protocol for me!

In addition, by the time we go to IVF #3 I will have been undergoing acupuncture and taking herbs for 6 months....and I will have been taking DHEA for close to 16 weeks. I'm hoping all of these things put together will give me a better result with the stims!

Chris,

This board is pretty quiet so far, isn't it!? I think it will start popping soon. I start my Lupron next Thursday, so that's when things officially get going for me again. I've decided that my transfer will be the 11th. I'm doing an FET, so there's a bit more leeway concerned. I'm a teacher and just trying to muddle through the last six weeks. I'm not having much luck with motivation! (Hence, the reason I'm on this board over my lunch hour!!) When do you start?

SBR - The only reason I have any PMA right now is because I will be going to a new clinic and will have a drastic change in my protocol. Keeping my fingers crossed that I get a better response with better quality eggs. I should be getting AF next week so I have to go in for blood work and testing on CD3. They will be doing NK cell test, AMH and FSH testing. I will also have a u/s to check antral follicle count. After I get all that done, they should be sending me a calender and I will be able to order all my meds. Since I am doing estrogen priming, I think I should be starting some meds in the middle of May. Gosh that will be here in not time. YEY!!! I hate waiting around.

That is nice that you will be done with school during your FET. That way you can put your feet up, relax and not feel guilty about doing nothing.

I am sure this board will be going crazy in the next month.

I just got my DH results in. Everything seems normal. I figured so. I seem to be the abnormal one usually. So far It looks good. I am due to start BC after my next period which should fall during the week of May 11th. I say should because I was five days earlier this month. So Iprobably will miss a few days of work before my scheduled vacation. Bummer! Oh well this is what I want most in life. Whats new with everyone else? I hope your all doing well. Talk to ya later!

AFM: On Friday I got approved for 3 more cycles until November from my new insurance. I am now waiting for my AF which should be in the next 2 wks or so. I will start meds on day 2 of my cycle which I think it will be the usual 2 weeks and then ER and ET around the last week of May or beginning of June... Hope this 3rd try is a charm.

Rosario - Yey, your back. This has got to be our cycle. If I remember correctly it was last June\July that we both got canceled. This time we will both get our BFPs. So did all your testing turn out OK?

ls4 - Good to hear that your DH testing went well. My DH will have to go through more testing, he is so in love with the cup. His test have all been good but since we are going to a different clinic, they have to do their own testing.

to_have_fun08 My endometrial biopsy came back negative and my Karyotype test (genetic) came back normal. So far my problem is the endometriosis, ovarian cyst, and tubal dx. RE says I might be in the DOR category. Now after transferring 6 embies in total with both cycles with fragmentation being close to none and not being successful, I am starting to think DH's sperm might have some wacky DNA make up... I mean does that make sense? Does that even exist? If this cycle doesn't work I will probably move on to PGD. Any who... =] Chris we have been cancelled together and have gotten BFNs together. Lets hope this is our time. PMA all the way =]

Rosario - The clinic I go to tests for DNA fragmentation. Hubby will be happy that he gets to give another sample so they can test his for this. What protocol will you be doing next time? I believe that my dx now is DOR so this cycle I will be doing estrogen priming and then an antagon/antagonist protocol. Which includes every drug under the sun. My insurance is going to really hate me when I order my drugs.

Carolyn - Welcome to the board. So sorry about your BFN. I was really mad that you didn't get a positive. I figured that you waited so long to cycle again at least someone should be on your side and let you have a BFP. Sometimes life is just not fair. It will be nice to cycle with you again.


This board is getting bigger and bigger. I better start a list so we can keep track of everyone. Maybe I will do that at work tomorrow.

I was reading back on the July/August 08 board today. Just wondering how a lot of those gals are doing, most should have delivered or are about to deliver. After reading a few of my post I realized I had so much PMA then. Now I have about a 10th of the PMA then I had last Aug. I guess 1 year of IVF can kill ya. So now I have to find a way to get my PMA back. Will have to find tons of smiley's to cheer myself up with.

Hey Ladies! Mind if I join? I think my IVF will me late june or july.

My husband and I have been together for 6 years married for 2 1/2. A mistake during my appendix surgery caused a steph infection causing blocked tubes.
We have done two rounds of IVF. 1st round of IVF during ER they doctors didnt check my levels and my eggs did not release. They did 4 more injections and did a 2nd ER. We only got 6 embroys and only 2 were able to be transfered. It was a BFN. It was one of the worst days of my life.
The clinic gave us a discount and we did round 2. I found out I was BFP Easter Sunday 2007. I have 17 month old twins girls.
We are ready for round 3 fingers crossed! We have our seat belts on and are ready for the rollercoaster ride! Now we just need to scrap up $12,000 and we are set to go!
They are doing some additional testing during my AF in May and following that ER/ET should be late June or July!
