stats, I also just drank one 16 oz bottle of water on my way to my ET. That was enough apparently and I wasn't too uncomfortable.
amfmbaby, I was put on 225 gonal-f and remained there the entire time of stimming. I didn't get the impression that this was a high dosage. To me it was more of a middle number that they could have decreased or increased from.
AFM, I haven't had much going on which is why I haven't been posting too much lately. I have been keeping up with everyone's progress however. Good luck to all those with upcoming ERs & ETs and those in 2ww. Those of you stimming, hang in there
Cynthia - 31, blocked tubes, DH - 26, perfect
1st IVF - 3/2009, ER - 3/26, ET - 3/29 BFP!!
Hey all, hope everyone is well. DH and I are back to reality after a lovely weekend away. I'm on the final few days' countdown to beta (on Friday), the 2ww is driving me crazy now. I'm really trying not to POAS because I know I would beat myself up too much if it's negative, and at this stage from what I understand it wouldn't be 100% accurate.
statsgoddess - I was told to go to the loo an hour before ET and then drink about three quarters of a litre of water. They said my bladder didn't have to be bursting full, just comfortably full. Mind you, there was then a further delay so I was getting pretty uncomfortable by the time I went to ET!
amfmbaby - don't worry at all about getting increased on the stims. I started off at 150ml, then had my (first) scan on day 6 after which they increased me to 225ml for the rest of my stims. There are lots of people I've read who've had upwards of 300ml of Gonal-F each day, so I assumed that they put me on a low dose 150ml because of my age and because I was a first timer for IVF just to see how I responded. The answer was clearly that I responded OK but not quite quickly enough, hence upping the dose. I think 225ml is probably somewhere in the middle of the range.
Cynthia - great to have you popping in. You still on your long 3ww until your next u/s?
faith - how are you finding the stims?
sportsmom - great news that all your embies are doing well (btw, my clinic doesn't check them at day 2 either). Good luck for ET on Thursday!
estrellita - yay for trigger! Good luck for ER on Thursday...
Neffi - grow follies grow!
kcraven - welcome. So sorry to read your story, let's hope the numbers start going up instead of down. We've all read some amazing stories on these threads, so anything can happen. Let us know how you get on tomorrow.
Michele - how's the HPT queen and BIRTHDAY GIRL today??? Please imagine me raising an imaginary glass of champagne and toasting you from across the pond!!!

waiting- As I have reminded many people, and am currently reminding myself as I get negative hpt's, that some people don't see a positive until the day of beta, some people don't even get a positive hpt until after beta. The tests measure 25 or more, but pregnant is considered 5 or more, so don't lose hope yet. Will you go for bloodwork tomorrow?
amfm- I hope you enjoyed movie night. If you started ganerelix, you must be getting close to possible trigger and ER. Kepp us posted.
hazel- I had a wonderful b-day, thanks! Can you believe I did not poas on my b-day? I kinda suprised myself. I had a couple friends over who had a 14 month old baby, we cooked out, they all had some drinks and then we all had the best b-day cake ever. It was from coldstone creamery...do you have coldstones ok in the uk? It was the most awesome ice cream cake ever, and I am so glad I have more for tonight. Good for you for resisting the hpt urge. My urge has actually not been bad, but I know it will be as we get to the weekend, and I feel like I have to at this point since I bought so many of them.
cymplicity- how is early pregnancy for you? Any noticeable symptoms? Your u/s must be soon now.
sportsmom- glad to hear your embies are doing well and you will get a couple more days of rest before ET.
estrellita- yay for trigger! I just figured by your numbers you were about due. Good luck at ER tomorrow!
faith- did you get an answer about ovulation? I wish I knew more about it, but I don't. I hope you get your answer and hopefully you did not ovulate.
neffi- I put you back on the list...yay for stimming again!
kcraven- good to see you around, I remember you from other boards. I do not know much about chemical pregnancies, but I am keeping my fingers crossed for you, I thought as long as the numbers rise you are good....so we will pray
dys- how's the soon-to-be mom? Can't wait to see you later!
AFM- I went for progesterone bw yesterday. I know you are not supposed to be able to tell anything from progesterone, but of course I can't help to try and analyze. I am on crinone gel, and last ivf (which resulted in Ella) they checked my progesterone at 5dpt and it was a 20. This time I was 4dpt and it was 57. Of course my clinic won't tell me anything about, I actually had to ask for the number, they just call and say everything is good, continue everything and we will see you in a week for beta. I am curious now why the big difference in numbers.
I am on my HPT journey already. I took one 2dpt like I did last time hoping for a negative so I would know trigger was gone, but I actually got a slight line, that was on Sunday morning. So I waited until MOnday night and got a negative. And then another this morning and another negative, so this all just confirms trigger is gone. I will start with my high sensitivity tests tomorrow that are supposed to read as low as 10-15, I have 5 of those. If I see anything interesting in the next couple of days, of course I will let you all know. I am pretty optomistic about this cycle even though I had mixed feelings before. Monday I was exhausted, I have had some mild cramping and pulling in my abdomen, my nips are getting big and bbs a little sore....so we will see what happens in the next week.
Ok, sorry for the long post, just wanted to catch up...talk to you all soon.

Thanks for all the words of advice on how much to drink for ET. The clinich said don't use the bathroom for 2 hours before your procedure and make sure you eat and drink something, but they never really said how full is full enough or how much to drink. Knowing what you guys did really helps.
ER was yesterday and they got 13 eggs! I'm not sure how many of those were mature enough, but I am waiting to hear from the clinic today for a fertilization report. Keep your fingers crossed!
I'm still pretty sore from ER, although I think part of it is because they put in a cervical stitch to make ET go more smoothly. Has anyone else experienced this??
All about to take PIO - I had my first shot last night and we used the prescription numbing cream for about 10 minutes beforehand. It worked like a charm and I didn't feel a thing!! I'd definately ask about it, especially if you are squeamish with needles like I am!
I'm in a hurry this morning and will have to catch up with the personal posts later today, but I did want to catch you guys up on my ER

Estrellita. After my ET last Monday, my RE made me promise not to use any HPT cause it tends to give wrong info and may add to the stress of 2WW. Keep your hopes up.
CT_Michelle. How are you feeling now?
After my ET, I was expecting at lot of abdominal cramps like what I felt after ER. To my suprise, I did'nt feel any pain nor spotting. I am really thankful to God.
good morning all I had my u/s this morning I have 12 follies all within 17 and 21mm RE says if bw looks as good we might trigger tonight for fri ER if not I will trigger tomorrow for sat I am anxious and ready to get it over with wont know my bw results for 2 to 3 more hours.
hazel ummmm I love coldstone and you just gave a craving Happy Birthday belated.
Estrellita good luck with ER

amfmbaby, though I don't condone lying to your husband the "but my fingers were crossed" was hilarious!
trx0424, I have to agree. ET was by far the easiest part of the whole process for me.
Michele, my u/s is still so far away I'm getting there though. Less than 2 weeks to go! This is worse than the 2ww. At least then I was able to satisfy myself with an hpt. Last I checked they don't make home ultrasounds
