Hey ladies, can I join you on this thread? I had a day 3 transfer of one Grade 1 (8 cell) embryo earlier this afternoon and am excited that I'm finally PUPO but wondering how on earth I'm going to be patient until my beta on Friday 1st May. It seems like a lifetime away...
Is there anyone on here who is on much the same timeline as me other than tiffichels/Heather? Heather - when is your beta?

Hey hwj. Congrats on your grade 1. Mine were 2 two's and a three. My beta is Thursday the 30th so we are right there together. Been laid back mostly with my knees up since Sunday but I will get up and about a little tomorrow. Took off work until next Monday so I could take it easy and we go down to SC (just a 6 hr trip) for the weekend so that will be something good to keep my mind off of things. The first part of next week is gonna be horrible though. We'll get through it together.

Hey tiffichels, what part of SC are you going to? I'm heading there myself this weekend for a fishing weekend with the family in Santee at Lake Marion. I have a sister that lives in Charleston.
Well I'm not in the 2ww with you ladies since I've already had my beta, but I am in my own 3ww for my first ultrasound!! I'm hoping this weekend getaway will help kill some time

Too Funny. I grew up in Sumter which is VERY close to Santee (actually spent my summers there). It's supposed to be in the 80's all weekend so pack light!

tiffichels - wow, our betas are really close, only a day apart! How are you finding the 2ww? Sounds like you've been taking it much easier than me, I've limited myself to the house and garden since the day of ET (Monday) but I've still been up and moving about a fair bit. I have two dogs and it's just me at home so it's a bit difficult to do the proper bedrest thing. The clinic told me to just take it easy for a few days (they didn't mention full bedrest) so that's what I'm doing. What were you advised?
The sun is out again today so I'm planning a bit of time in the garden. I don't want to overdo it though, I've read that you're not supposed to sunbathe when in the 2ww (or when pregnant) but I don't know where you draw the line between sitting in the sun (which is OK) and sunbathing (not OK). I'm thinking that I can sit in the sun for as long as I like provided I don't get hot and sweaty, but I'm not sure whether that's right. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hey Hazel! 2ww is going good so far, am feeling a little AF cramping and am hoping it is implantation (hoping to see some implantation spotting but nothing yet). Don't remember feeling crampy this early last time just the last few days before beta. Last time (in February) I started with the food aversions and tender tatas but haven't had any of that yet. It's so easy to over analyze any of this. I have three dogs too and hubby is going back to work today so I am sure I will be up and down today. My doctor just says to have bedrest the day of transfer and take it easy the next day but I stayed on bedrest for 50 hours in February and got a BFN so this time I decided to chill for longer. I have been moving downstairs to the recliner in the living room and making myself food but other than that I've been taking it easy with a pillow under my knees. It's really different for everyone.
I hadn't heard anything about getting sun being bad. My doctor actually told me to go lay in the sun since it was such a pretty day. The reason we're not supposed to tan is you are not supposed to let your body temp get elevated. That's the same with taking hot showers or baths. Just be careful bending over in your garden.
If you have any questions about any symptoms, feel free to ask. Since I just went through all of this two months ago my memory is pretty fresh. Once those symptoms kick in it can be VERY emotional. I always thought the shots and hormones were the worst part until I got to the 2ww. LOL.
Hope you have a nice day. Enjoy your garden!!

Hello ladies... I got confirmation of my BFP today. My first beta at 9dp6dt was 85. RE's office said this was a great number, especially for a FET cycle. For some reason in FET cycles, the betas tend to rise slower. I go back in again for my second beta on Friday. Here's to hoping that number doubles over the next 48 hours like it is supposed to. I have finally finished the 2ww, but wish each of you the best of luck throughout this crazy process.

Ok, I am officially pupo, so I guess I can join you ladies over here too. I will need as many threads as I can to keep myself occupied during this 2ww!
I had 2 embryos transferred this morning, both 8 celled, one grade A and one grade B. I also had 4 left to freeze (1 8 cell and 3 7 cells, all also grade A or B).
For those of you who don't know me, I am on my second ivf. My first was successful and resulted in the birth of my beautiful daughter Ella who is now 8 months old. So we are hoping everything goes just as smoothly this time and we can bring Ella a little brother or sister.
This will most likely be our last fresh cycle, since insurance runs out after this. If this doesn't work, we will have to scrape up enough money to try an FET, but I think we could manage it somehow. Our chances are also limited for more than what we got from this cycle as our issue is all male factor and it seems the sperm is getting worse by the day, TESE was not great this time, so we will just pray it works this time.
I am looking forward to getting through the 2ww with all of you!
Any hpt addicts here? I will be starting them soon, I did a bulk order online weeks ago, so they will be calling my name in just a couple days!

baylorbear - congratulations! How did your second beta go yesterday?
Hey Michele, good to see you over here and in the 2ww. Congratulations on your two great embies, hope they are snuggling in and getting settled! So when is your first day of POAS going to be? You've got to make sure you don't waste any of that bulk order, lol!
tiffichels - how're you doing, hope you are having fun in SC. Are you still feeling some cramping? Are you still resisting the HPT's?
AFM, DH and I are away for a long weekend near the coast, just chilling out and doing some beach walks with the dogs. I'm doing my best to keep my mind off the 2ww - I honestly thought that I would do OK in the 2ww because I wasn't too anxious/impatient in my 2ww after each IUI (we had IUI four times last year) but this is way worse! I thought I got a bit of cramping yesterday but it wasn't severe and part of me wondered whether I'd just imagined things which weren't really there! Likewise, when I washed in the shower this morning I thought my boobs felt a little tender, but I'm probably imagining it! No implantation spotting at all... Aaaaaaarrrggggghhh!

Hey Ladies! Things went great in SC. We were able to relax and just visit with family and got to see my 4-year-old nephew. I am still having the little cramps but they are more like pinches in the same spot so I am really hoping they are implantation cramps but I haven't had any implantation spotting so that makes me think it may just be AF ready and waiting. Tatas are tender too now but I know from past experience that all of these symptoms along with my new food aversions (vinegar, mustard and anything sweet...didn't even want birthday cake and ice cream this weekend ) can be the meds. That's about it, kinda the same as last time but the symptoms come from the progesterone. So Thursday we will see.
Hazel, sounds like you're having a great time. Yes, the 2ww is the easiest because there's not much to do but by far the hardest because of the waiting and all of the tricks to your mind with every little twinge.
I have been able to not POAS because of the fake results caused by the HCG shot. I just would hate to get a positive then get smacked in the face on Thursday OR get a negative and be upset for no reason!!
Hope everyone's Monday is good. Not too much longer to go. Lets all try to keep our minds busy.
TTFN!!

Congratulations tabatha, I can't imagine how amazing it is to see the heartbeat!
tiffichels - glad to hear you had a good time at the weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed that your 'pinches' are implantation cramps. Only two days to go until beta! Are you going to resist POAS until then? From what I gather, the trigger shot stays in your system for about 10 days so I assume it should be gone by now? I think I'm going to POAS the night before my beta (so Thursday night) so that I'm partly prepared for beta.
Michele - so have you started your daily POAS marathon???
AFM, going crazy now. Just want the next three days to be over so that I find out whether it has worked. Still not really feeling anything much in the way of symptoms...

Hi ladies...I thought I would get started a day early and introduce myself on this board. My FET is tomorrow 4/30. I am nervous and excited all at the same time. We are defrosting 6 blasts and not yet sure how many we are transferring...either 1 or 2, depending on what they look like after thaw. I was told I won't have any left to refreeze so I hope this works. I can't imagine going through the entire IVF stim/retrieval while taking care of my 18 month old. I see lot of you are testing any day now...good luck to you all and I look forward to spending my 2ww with you guys.
Congrats Tabatha..there is no greater feeling in the world! When get farther along (after 20 weeks), consider renting a dopler...that way you can hear the hb whenever you want:) They are only like $25 a month.
