to_have_fun08 This cycle I will do a microdose flare lupron protocol. Since I am a poor responder they think this will help with more eggs and more embies so i can go for a 5dt.

Chris - thank you for putting the list together! looks great!

My follow up apt is on 5/12 and i will find out more when the doc wants to start everything.

I do have a question for anyone out there who had a m/c. I had one last week, and i just want to know how long the bleeding was for anyone else? I stoped on Sunday, then started again on Tuesday. Before i call my Dr, i just wanted to see what anyone else went through.

I am staying positive for all the beatiful ladies out here who want to be Mommy's (first time/Again)!!!!

Hi everyone

What a great bunch of ladies to be going through this cycle with. Its May here today so I guess that means its not long till everyone starts moving along!

Tanya - I think I bled for about 21 days but then I did miscarry quite late (almost 12 weeks) so not sure if that makes a difference. I found that my period took a few months to return to normal after that.

Its cool to have a few poor responders (so I don't feel like the only one!) and also some success stories with mums coming back for baby no 2 or 3.

Have a great friday everyone!

sabi - Welcome to the board. Of course you can join. The more the merrier. Good luck on your donor egg cycle. I am seriously considering doing donor eggs. Right now I am thinking I will do this one cycle using my own eggs and depending on how I respond and egg quality will determine if my next cycle will be donor egg. I just want a baby and at this point don't care if it doesn't have my genes.

Wickedwheel - Poor responders ROCK!!!! well at least the drug companies think so since we have to buy tons of drugs just to produce a few eggs.

Wishfull - I have never done a FET but from what I have seen most clinics like to wait till the eggs are a blast before transfer. So if they froze them at day 3 they would thaw them for 2 days before transfer, if they froze them on day 5 then they would thaw and transfer on the same day.

AFM - AF is starting to peek her head out so that means I can go get my testing done next week. Just want to get all the testing done with so I am scheduled for July. I hate waiting.

HAPPY FRIDAY to ALL!!!!

Hi sabi - Well, this is going to be my 2 round. The first time round, we had 2 eggs put in, and it did take (not sure if it was one or both), but then last week, i had a m/c. I go back to my dr on 5/12 for my follow up.

One thing i was very skitish on were all the shots. I tried to give myself the shots, and i just couldn't do it. My husband had to give them to me. All the medacine is going to be very scary the first time, but just follow what your Dr tells you and when and how to take them, you will do fine!

After the aspiration (egg removal) - i had 21 eggies. then by the time the transfer came (3 day transfer) we had 2 put in and i think we had something like 8 left. Then we told them we wanted to freeze the remaining, and by that time came along (Day 6) we had 3 left.

For our next transfer, i want to do a fresh, i want to be able to make sure i will still more chances to get pregnant if the next time doesn't work and our insurance will pay for everything. We were very forantite that our insurance has a very good infertility program. The only thing is, after this next fresh round, i can not do any more. Our ins won't pay for any more.

So anyway - you will get all your questions answered here! all the women here are wonderful and will answer your questions or tell you their experiences!

Thanks everyone for the welcome! Yes I know twins and wants more.. I love being a mom. I'm crazy.

Welcome Sabi!
Welcome Tanya!

So.....my husband told me last night that he is not sure about going a head in June/July.
He said he loves our kids and wants more but not at the expense of the girls. He is concerned about having another set of twins. My mom is a twin and his dad is a twin so it is not out of the relm to have another set then add IVF... Even our doctor talked to us about it.
I dont know how to feel about this because he has always been right behind me about wanting more. We discussed more multiples and know the risk and decided that if it was another set of twins we would be happy and make our kids lives happy and healty.
I know he told his mom that we were thinking of trying again and I know she wasnt really happy. UGH MIL's! I wonder if it isnt her that is making him rethink the decision.

I am just so upset. Obviously I want him to be sure before we go ahead. But I am also turning 36 this summer so time is critical.

Happy Friday to all!

Sonya - Your twins are adorable!!!! Did you guys decide if you are going to do IVF again? MIL should butt out, it is your life and I think if you both feel that it is a good time to have another child then go for it. Yes, it could be a lot of work especially if you get multiples but it has been done before and you can handle the work load if that is what you really want.

Just thought I would pop in and say "Hi". We are doing a BBQ today and need to finish getting the house cleaned. What fun!!! Can't wait till I can relax and have a beer.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Hi all,
My how this board is growing! It’s great to see so much support building up on here.

Welcome Wolffie, sprouthaus, Brighty, wickedwheel, Tanya123, josee1973, sokru8, sabi, and it’s great to see you again Rosario, I cycled with you back in June. I had to get a different login name, I was bell-02 before.

Chris, thanks for getting the list up.

Sokru8, I’m sorry your DH isn’t sure about going ahead. That’s really hard when you’ve gotten yourself mentally prepared to do it at a certain time. I’m sure you guys will work it out.

Sabi, don’t be afraid to post any questions/thoughts/concerns…there is no such thing as a bad question here. We’re all here to support each other.

Wishfull27, I did a little looking around on the Internet for your question about how long it takes to unthaw an embryo for an FET and from what I can gather, it sounds like it depends on what stage your embryo was frozen at, 3 day etc. But it looks like they thaw to room temperature very rapidly, as in minutes. But I know at my clinic they thaw them at least the day before because during my second FET they called me the day before because of my embies’ thawing issues. So maybe than they put them in some other solution to preserve them until they are ready for the transfer?? I also don’t know if every clinic is the same, you should ask yours what they do, I’d be curious to hear the answer.

As for myself, AF came last weekend so I started bcp’s. I start Lupron on May 25. Now I just need to do a bit of shopping around for my Gonal F and get all my meds ordered up.

Take care all and have a great week!!

Well i am still waiting for AF to show up. AF showed up last month on the 2nd which means its either this week or next. After i started doing IVFs my cycles avg at 35 days but can go up to 42 days the most (it only happened once). I have decided to not get my medication until I am given the ok that same day. Reason is because the micro dose lupron goes bad after a month and i really don't want to go thru the hassel of ordering it again. Plus I have some gonal-f still in the fridge.
