Nicole,BIG CONGRATS! :D :D :D
Yes,trust me ,there is no day without worry about something-first it's beta #,then u/s,then bleeding, then triple test, then first movements(too little, some days no movement/going crazy, then too much),then active/not so active...and much much more...And we probably didn't even think about all these worries when were first time PG...So,yeah,it's plenty of worries head! But try think positive every time when you have a nervous breakdown and don't try on every bad situation that happened to others-there are plenty bad stuff out there, but also a lot of happy endings :D

Lyly,I hope everything will clear up on your u/s on Monday and your baby looks good.We didn't do baby's room yet too,but moved furniture and ready to paint probably this weekend.I'm washing baby's clothes(got tons from my friend-we are all dressed up to one year!I did not put even one thing in the registry)) and organizing everything in a drawers(you never know!)Finally picked out a stroller(Uppa baby Vista),but haven't bought yet.
My shower on May 30th and at work on May 17th.I hope I can be there

Hey Marina- I hope the baby's kidneys look good on Monday too. I didn't even think I was going to have any showers and now I am having 3! My cousin was originally planning a shower for me and dh and her did not agree on things so dh ended up doing his own for the friends and my cousin is doing one for family. Can you believe it? Today is the friends shower. I am very excited about it. Next sat is the family shower. And I heard they are having one for me at work but I know nothing about that one! I guess they are trying to keep that one a suprise. I hope all is well with you. How are you feeling. Yesterday was the first day my hands and feet started to swell and really bad. They were hurting so bad. They are feeling a bit better this morning and hope it lasts long enough to get through the shower.

Nicole- One more hurdle crossed! I am so happy for you!

Hey Lyly,
I can't really complain,I'm feeling pretty good-nothing I was afraid of happening so far (like heartburn or hemmorroids ,aches and pains,no back ache either)I'm still sleeping pretty good with only one body pillow between my legs  .They put me on iron and I thought-o,great,now I won't be able to go to the bathroom, but believe it or not,I'm going even more regulary(every day) without problem.
The only one complain I have-I can't do gardening this year, maybe little planting latter, but not like I normally do-so,it's all on my DH and my son.
I work only 4 hours a day( they are very strict about standing on my feet more then 4 hours and even then tell me to take breaks between appt.'s),so,really-no complaining! After this week I 'm starting to see the doctors every week again-they are going to do some test on a baby-see how she's practicing breathing or something like that.
With your swelling-could be sign of preclamsia?Does your face swell too?
Maybe you are standing on your feet too much too?

Marina- I wish I could say I have no complaints! Although its all worth it, I have terrible heartburn, I am even still throwing up at night. I actually think I have reflux since I can feel things come back up. My back also hurts but not all the time so its not that bad. And I can't sleep at night because I either have to get up to go to the bathroom or am just unconfortable. I actually threw dh out of the bed because I can't find a comfortable position lol. He's been camped out on the floor and doesn't seem too upset about it, he says it feels good on his back. As far as the swelling it is just my hands and feet. Not sure about the pre-clampsia. My blood pressure was really high last night 168/85 and freaked me out
( I have a home machine for my mom) but I laid down on my left side for awhile and rechecked and it went down to 118/75 so I figured that is good. Today it has been around 113/69. I guess we will see how it goes. I have an appt on monday. I am over 30 weeks and they have me coming every 3 weeks! I was told it would be more often after my visit on Monday, but I am not sure if that meant every 2 weeks or every week. Well I am off to get ready for my shower!

I'm surprised I don't get up at night to go pee ,only in the morning and I noticed I don't really go a lot through the day also, even I think I drink enough water.
Have fun at your shower, let me know what you've got!

Marina- It's 11:30 pm and I just got home from my shower. It was so much fun. Dh really out did himself. I cannot believe he did all that. Of course it wasn't your everyday shower. It was more like a big never ending party, but it was great. I had so much fun. We got so much stuff, but still need alot of the big items. We got alot of clothes, blankets, bibs, some bottles, a diaper genie, bassinet, bouncer, portable feeding chair, the big car seat, bathtub, washcloths. Lets see what else...... diapers, diaper bag, travel case for wipes, toys, and gym mat. We still need so much more its crazy but I have my family shower next week and the work one too. I just hope I get some gift cards so I can use it towards some of the bigger items like stroller/infant car seat, high chair and pack n play. Well I am off to bed.

well girls the dr visit went ok. I have gained about 12 lbs so far. The baby's kidneys are still dilated. I saw a different doc this visit and she told me it was very mild and that it was not much to be concerned with. She also said most cases clear up by birth or shortly after. I didn't really like this dr too much. I felt kind of rushed, but I go back to the dr in 2 weeks and another sono in 3 weeks. Oh yeah they said the baby is 3.5 lbs already. I can't believe it. Anyway my reg guy will be on vaca so I have to see the covering dr. That makes 2 visits in a row now that I wont see my regular dr. I hope I can get to see my regular guy soon.

How is everyone else doing?

Hi everyone,

I am glad that everyone is doing so well. I always keep up with all of you but rarely have time to sit and post. I have been feeling a bit overwhelmed lately. I am finishing another masters program to max out my credits before these little guys are due and the work load has been enormous! I also have the AP exams coming up this week at school so I have been busy created, grading and photocopying work for the kids...can't wait till it is over! This next week can't be over soon enough for me...then I will be able to breathe again....I hope.

On top of all that stress we just went for our 28 week ultrasound and found a problem with the baby girl. She was diagnosed with duodenal atresia-basically her stomach is not connected to her small bowel, so she can't remove the amniotic fluid she is swallowing. She is surrounded with extra amniotic fluid which is kinda squishing the boy. They say that 25-30% of babies with this problem have Down Syndrome-which we have been tested for through a CVS and it came back fine, so the doctors don't think that she has Downs...but who can help but worry...especially since we have a nephew with Downs.

I am trying to keep positive and say that we are in the 70% that do not have Down and that it is just a genteic abnormality. My son was diagnosed with hydrophrenosis inutero and Baby C had the omphalacele-so maybe we just don't connect genetically in that area......kinda makes sense...

Oh well, there is nothing we can do until she is born. She will have to have an immediate surgery after birth, but they say it is a common one and one that most people live happily ever after. We also will have to have some of the ammniotic fluid drained periodically so the boy can still have room to grow and thrive....great another ammnio! I was pretty sure having two during this pregnancy was enough for me....

The good news is that both babies are measuring really well. Both are 3 pounds at this point, which is right on for singletons..so hopefully they just keep going that way.

Talk to all of you soon, but am really glad that all are doing well,
Melissa

Hi Ladies,

I have entered the world of motherhood and thank God my little boy is cute...it is my ONLY sanity. It's very overwhelming, this motherhood thing and there is PLENTY no one tells u to expect from it, including the fact that u may make sooo much milk that when you wake up from a night's rest, the ENTIRE front of your shirt may be soaked with milk and u may splatter milk aka create a milk trail as you make ur way to the bathroom to rinse urself off...It's nuts. I LOVE it! I give LOTS of kudos to single parents. I have needed my husband sooo much; and I love him more and more each day.

My labor was hell...pregnancy was too good to be true. I had a 3 day labor and ended up getting a c-section. He was born on tax day, April 15th, 2009.

I must say...that I'm ready for another one!!!

check out some pix on kodak gallery.
