Six years ago my hubby and I started out fertility journey. We went through two doctors and was finally referred to a specialist. We did four rounds of Chlomid, four rounds of injectibles, three rounds of IUI all with no success. We then were referred to an IVF clinic. The first IVF worked however sadly we had a m/c at 6.5 weeks. The second IVF failed. We believed we were done with the infertility treatments and began focusing on life again. After losing weight and starting an exercise program I began hearing about Femara. I decided to go back to the original specialist to discuss the possibility of Femara. I requested Femara since I have heard many positive things about this new treatment. We decided to give it a shot this month. We started Femara on 4/7/09. We did a step up program with one pill on day three, two on day four, three on day five and four on day six. Then it was just scheduled intercourse, BBT charting and OV test kits.
Amazingly it worked on the first try. Today we got a BFP and are waiting on the Beta numbers. Due to my m/c there is of course many concerns and worries however to anyone considering trying Femara I say give it a shot. It worked for us when all the invasive and expensive treatments did not.
