statsgoddess here's a helpful chart cymplicity posted on here before. I printed it out and keep a copy on my nightstand so I can visualize what my embies should be doing for the day. :D

this is what happens in a 3dt :

1dpt ..embryo is growing and developing
2dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
3dpt....Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
4dpt.. Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
5dpt.. Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
6dpt.. Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
7dpt.. Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells &
fetal cells
8dpt...Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
9dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
10dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
11dpt...HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on HPT

This is what happens in a 5dt:

0dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
1dpt....Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
2dpt.. Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
3dpt.. Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
4dpt.. Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
5dpt.. Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells & fetal cells
6dpt...Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
7dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
8dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
9dpt...HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on HPT

Great chart. I wonder where FET's fall into it. FET's are usually blasts right? So that is a day 6 right. So if I am 4 days post a 6 day blast...all these numbers confuse me.
IVF/ICSI 3/07 Froze All 36 eggs
FET 5/07 BFP; DD born early (26 weeks) 10/07
IVF/ICSI 8/09 Froze all 30 eggs
FET 11/09 BFP! TWINS from just 1 frostie! YIKES.
20 Frosties left

rikirees if you are 4dpt on 6 day blastocyst then you are one day ahead of the 5 day transfer schedule....so for you it would be 4dpt (instead of 5dpt).. Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells & fetal cells ....

For you 8dpt...HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on HPT

All last night I had AF cramps. I thought for sure I would wake up to a period.

Thanks Jenny and sportsmom!

I should know in just another 4-5 torturous hours. I just got back from blood work, and I was a wreck. I took my last hpt before I left and it was still negative. I sobbed most of the 30 min. drive to the clinic and then tried to gain some composure before going in. I did okay until the nurses called me in, and as soon as I sat in the blood draw chair, I apologized to them and started crying. They immediately asked if I had gotten my period and when I said no, they said not to worry yet. They reminded me that every pregnancy is different and I could certainly be pregnant with numbers too low for an hpt. I told them I know that but just know it is a slim chance and that I am just not very optimistic at this point. I also told them that if my beta is positive then I swear I will never take another home test again! I will let you all know as soon as I hear anything.

sportsmom, AF cramps without AF is a good thing :D I remember one night during my 2ww I had really bad AF cramps. I figured out the next morning it was just gas :o  There was some real cramping that came later that week though.

Praying for you Michele!

rikirees, you are so strong, I envy you :D

Yaay mom2luke!!! I'm excited for you at least . I know how it is though. I got 3 positives and still couldn't wait until my beta for it to sink in. Now I'm waiting for the ultrasound for it to sink in. I'm starting to figure out it will probably never sink in and I'll always be nervous until I'm holding the little one. CONGRATULATIONS!!! :D :D :D
