Hey everyone ,
Finally ER is over .. it was actually not that bad ..Just took tylenol extra strength once in the recovery room and then one at night .. I still feel crampy though :?
Anyways , they took out 11 eggs( in ultrasound they had 16 but according to them some follies were empty ) out of which 9 fertilized ...out of those nine the embryologist said 7 are growning fine but 2 are still small..Will most probably get a 5 day transfer as we are getting PGD done ..So ET will be by the end of this week .. Please remember me in me in your prayers girls ....
Started my PIO shots last night .. statsgoddess ,my doc didn't allow me to use the cream :( .. But to tell u the truth ,the shot didn't hurt at all last night but today that area is sooo sore ...I don't know how these girls have done this for 3 weeks .. by whole back hurts

faith 77,HCg is not bad at all .. i used 25 guage 1 1/2 inch needle ....shot is not bad at all..
Good luck with your ER ..
stasgoddess and sportsmom how is your 2ww going ??? do u also feel sore with these PIO shots ???

faith03 - I still have to do the shots, the cream just numbs the area first. I think some people just get to use the gel inserts and not do shots. In fact, I am so unlucky that I get to up the shots to 2cc for another week. And yes, I am SO sore. It kicks in about ten or fifteen minutes later and lasts until it's time to do that side again, ugh. Since you are doing PGD (we did as well), are you going to find out the gender of what you implant? We did, because it seemed right at the time. I just hope we don't regret it later...

All in 2ww, did any of you have to up your PIO shots after your progesterone check? Mine was a little low - 26.4 and they really want to see over 30, so now I am up to 2cc per night. Ugh. In fact, I have to go do that in a few minutes :( Should I worry about this testing a little low at this point????

faith77 - good luck with your trigger!

Statsgoddess. I have been receiving 1 cc of progesteron oil 2 X a day. It really helps me when I apply ice on the site that will be used. I apply ice for about 5 mins. and it really numbs the site. I don't even feel the needle going to my skin. Hope this will help.

statsgoddess.. guess what .. I started with 2cc and will continue that dose throughout
Anyways tell me one thing with the PGD did u loose alot of your fertilized embryos cause they said after getting a PGD done they catagorize alot of your embies as abnormal ..Yeah i think if everything hopefully goes fine then we'll find out about the gender aswell :) BTW I forgot in your case how many eggs fertilized and after PGD did u freeze any ???

Faith03 I'm so glad the ER went well for you and I'll definitely be praying for on the upcoming ET. The 2ww is hideous! I have highs and lows I'm thinking it will be positive one minute and the next minute I'm crying thinking its going to be negative. Hideous!!

faith03 - we had 14 eggs retrieved, 9 fertilized, and out of the 9 for PGD, we ended up with 2 to transfer and two frozen. Out of the other 5, two never developed a nucleus and two were abnormal. One was normal at test time but didn't grow big enough to freeze in that last day. No regrets on deciding to test. At least we know the ones we transferred and the ones frozen have good chances of being normal. It may eliminate some, but those are likely the ones who wouldn't have made it anyway. We are paying out of pocket for everything, so we wanted the best chance of putting good stuff back in. *crosses fingers*

statsgoddess ;yeah I thought so too ... then on the other hand PGD doesn't check all the chromosomes so we still are not cheking for all the diseases.. but then we decided on this as I had a miscarriage last year which i conceived normally( was blighted ovum) .. anyways hope we get a few to freeze as well ..

sportsmom.. I know eaxctly what you are talking about .. I already feel like that  these hormones plus these PIO shots are killing me .

I am going for an accupuncture tomorrow ..more needles  i hope that helps

Faith 77 : no actually we didn't do it for the entire cycle but when I went before my ER for U/S ,my doc said u should get it .. he said I don't recommend it for the entire cycle but before and after ET helps .. we were not sure till my ER and then we decided on the day of our ER .. so now i have three sessions .. today then right before and after ET .. will let u know how it goes ...the needles look scary but they said it doesn't hurt at all so lets see. if I won't like it then won't continue ..

Eve: great so now soon u'll be starting your meds.. hmm after bcp it takes a few days to start your AF .. it's diff for everyone but in my case it took me almost 4 days ..
good luck girls !!!!!

Hi ladies, just a question for those of you going/have gone through the treatment - have any of you had a lot of bruising after your needles? I tummy looks like a paint ball target board. My FSH shots are also painful during and after. Any suggestions to reduce the bruising and soreness?

Well I am back from ER. Everything went well. They got 17 eggs, but I doubt they are all mature. So tomorrow we will find out our fert report. We decided to ICSI half of them so that we at least get some chance of fert since DH morphology is like none. So we will see. I am pretty sore, but not too bad. I am just taking Tylenol.
