Looking for BFP's from FET's with only 1 Embie Transferred

Post by rikirees »

I am currently in my 2ww (well technically 1 week, as the RE said I can test 8 days after transfer) and go for my Beta on 5/8. I have a DD from a previous FET cycle where we transferred 3 embies and ended up with quads, 2 singletons and identical twins. 3 died in utero and my DD was born at 26 weeks weighing 14 ounces. She is our miracle baby. Needless to say, that pregnancy was not great. But I am so lucky to have my daughter.

We had so many BFN's that we never imagined all 3 embies attaching.

For this FET cycle I was TERRIFIED of a multiple situation and we only transferred 1 embie that I was told looked good. I was told it was hatched, but I can't tell from the picture. We don't have any frosties left.
I would love to hear from other ladies who had BFP's with just ONE embie transferred, fresh or frozen I guess. 1 seemed like so little but I really had no choice. I so badly want to have a NORMAL HEALTHY pregnancy.

PLEASE SHARE!

Hello,

I am on the same boat. We have one frozen day 6 blast left and we are transferring in a couple of weeks. I am going through a natural FET so I am just hoping that it is going to be a good cycle so we can move on with the cycle. How are you feeling?

thank you for your response rubermoon. I test of Friday but I am fairly certain it is a BFN. I have not taken a HPT but I don't have any symptoms. No cramping, boobie tenderness, nada. I am just eating like a cow and a little tired, nothing too out of the ordinary. I guess I will know in less than 48 hours. I am actually fine if it is a BFN. Unexpectedly, I am dealing with some health issues with my daughter and I should probably focus on her for a while before trying a whole IVF cycle again. Who knows when that might be.
Good luck with your transfer. Do you have a few embies you are choosing from?
We thawed 6. 3 didn't survive, one had 2 huge pockets that didn't look right, so the RE chose the best of the two remaining. The other was discarded as it would not have survive another freeze, but we didn't want to transfer it. I have no frosies left :(

My friend just had her son. She had a total of 4 3-day embies. They were 5 cells, 2 6 cells and 1 8 cell. She put back 1 6 cell and her son is perfect. She froze the other 3.

So there have you have it successful single embryo transfer on day 3!
Me: 44 severely reduced reserve
DH: 44 perfect
IVF 1: Feb 08 -BFP twins (lost one at 7 weeks, one at 13 weeks) :-(
IVF 2: June 08 -BFN :-(

We only have one left from the last fresh cycle. It's a day 6 blast. Not as good quality as the two that were transferred back in 06'. Getting very anxious. Good luck with the test in 48hrs! It's hard not to think about it.
