Hi everyone I can't believe there is so many of us. Welcome to all those who have recently joined.
I am due next wednesday and then should start my BC. Then it will all begin. Maybe I wont be early this time. I usaually get cramps by now. I guess I'll enjoy it while I don't. Mother's Day will be here soon. Fun Fun!
I guess I'll just think of it as getting some time to spend with my mom and huge family. Did I tell you I was the fourth of seven girls? My one sister has five kids, another has one. The oldest is like me and the three younger are not married yet. I never thought this would happen to me.
It seems for the past ten years (on and off) this has been all I have been doing. Trying to have a child even just one.
Well Good Luck to all I am always thinking of all of you!
I can't wait to hear some good news and hope in the future!

ok, I just copied all of my graphics from the march/april cycle buddies and put them here and changed all the names. I know we don;t have anyone stimming or in the 2ww yet, but It was just easy to copy them and have them all ready to go. I also tried to put us in order of date, but I know a lot of dates are still up in the air as it is so early. As I see people posting dates, I will update the list. Also, please don;t hesitate to tell me to fix something if your name needs an update or something has changed, I am on here a lot and read a lot, but sometimes I miss one or two updates here and there.

I am still going back to read everyone's posts, and I will do personals soon, promise!

afm- went for my u/s and bw today. They gave me the all clear to start bcp's tonight and I will be going withing the next week or 2 for the uterine biopsy. We will also be working on financing or saving money for this FET. So I will read up on everyone and say my little hellos by tomorrow...most of you I already know from previous threads! So nice to see so many familiar names....I hope we all get our bfp's this time!

Ok, so I finally went back and read most of the posts and I am ready to do some personals! Here goes nothing...

Chris- I have enjoyed reading all of your posts over the time you have been a board member. I have followed you over the past few months and I am glad we are finally cycling together, I hope this time will work for you.

paytonsmommy- Looks like you are one of many going for #2 on this thread, I am one too. My sweet little ella is 8 months old and I can't wait to bring her a sibling.

Sarah- I am so glad we are crossing paths again! We have so much in common and I really thought we would both be successful last try, but hopefully 3rd time is a charm for us both. You must be excited that school is winding down, when I was teaching I remember May was the longest month! Hang in there, your almost there!

Kushka- You have found a wonderful place to be. I remember the first ivf being exciting and scary all at once, but with the wealth of information from all of the wonderful ladies here, I made it through no problem!

Belle- I know it is hard to stay positive. I honestly did not know how I would feel if I became a member of the dreaded bfn club, but now I know it is one of the hardest things to deal with. But all I can do is assume god has a plan for me, and if I keep trying it will eventually work for me again. We will be here to try and keep your pma high!

wolfie- way to go on the breastfeeding. I knew from the start that breastfeeding wasn't for me, but I have a huge amount of respect for women who do it at all...let alone 10 months like yourself! Your awesome girl!

sprout- I am so glad to see you here! I hope your consult at CCRM goes well, I know a lot of women travel really far to go to them and have had success, I think they are known as the best (or one of) around these boards.

brighty- welcome to the boards, you will love it here. Our infertility is also male factor, my dh has very low low count, he actually has none in his samples and needed to have TESE done, twice...ouch! What will they do for your dh...take lots and lots of samples, or do TESE/TESA?

Wicked- I will be hoping for that sibling for your DD...as I hope for the same!

Tanya- Welcome to the boards...and I am so sorry about the recent m/c. I can only imagine the emotions involved in that roller coaster ride, and I do hope things go better this time around.

To be continued...

...continued...

lisa- wow you do have a big family! But big families are awesome. Do you guys all get along and get together a lot? Do they know about what you are going through and support you?

EYCI- I do hope this works being your last chance. I thought this past time was my last chance since insurance just ran out, but I am going to find the money no matter what. I see you have a toddler to keep you busy at home while you wait to start!

josee- so good to cycle with you again. I hope it works for us both this time!

Rosario- awesome that you get 3 more cycles covered. Did af come yet? If not...here is a dance for you
Image

carolyn- Another familiar name. I was so bummed last month when you got your bfn, but I am praying for you this time, and really hope you get better news this time around.

sokru- your girsl are adorable! Best of luck for #3...did you and dh figure everything out? I can see the concern for multiples again, I am even concerned with multiple already having one at home, but I will take whatever happens

sabi- you will learn so much here...my RE thinks I am a little expert and I told him it is all from these boards! Thanks for the sweet comment about ella...I happen to think I am very lucky also!

Nicksgam- so glad you got the courage to post finally. I remember the first post on these boards being scary...and here I am almost 1000 posts later and I am addicted to the site! Such awesome ladies here...

prayin- I can't believe you drive 2 hrs to get to the clinic! I thought my 30 min drive was a lot. I will add you to the list and and hoping for the best for you.

whew! So I think I got everyone. Now I officially feel like part of the thread! Talk to you all soon...

Hi

Can I join your board?

I finished my first IVF / ICSI last month which was unsuccesful. We are due to start again in June. We have our follow up appt next week.

I have partially blocked tubes and dh has low concentration and mobility. We have been ttc for over 4 years. Our cycle seemed to go well until the test. We had 21 eggs but only 8 mature. All fertilized and we transferred 1 top grade 5 day embryo. We do not have any frozen as only 4 survived to day 5, 1 was not good quality and 1 was transferred.

I read these boards all the time but have never post and they really helped me through the whole process.

I am thinking of having acupuncture for the next cycle but am not sure. Any advice?

Welcome aboard Ange.

Now I have a question. My last IVF was 2 years ago. It was difficult to remember things. I'm praying that it wont come until a week day but if it does I know I know I can still call. When do you usuall start BC. Is it on that day you get it or 3 days into it. Should I get my perscription filled now so its on hand. I feel so stupid. I went through my paper work from last time to kind of figure out when it should all take place.
Maybe I'm just panicking now. I want to be more prepared this time. Last time even though I did I wish I would've researched it more and now I feel like I'm overloading myself that I forgot the simple things.
:?
Michele- Yes it is fun to be around my family. They are great and supportive. In the beginning I didn't tell them everything and it drove me crazy because we are all so close. Now that I have its kind of made these difficxult times better and a lot easier on DH. He is close with my family too. Which helps out all the time. I wanted a decent size family. Maybe not the same. I loved it. I hope I can have my own soon. I 've been more than patient.

ls4- Every time I have gone through this, I go for an u/s and bw on day 2,3 or 4 of af. They check my blood and then I usually start bcp's that night, so it is usually not on the very first day of af, but day 2-4, that is just my office though.

angie- welcome to the boards. Sorry to hear about your unsuccessful attempt. I am glad you finally decided to post though, you will get a lot of support from the ladies here. I have never done acupuncture myself, but I am sure a lot of people here have, and can answer your question for you. I added you to our list, let us know how your consult goes.

Angie - welcome to the board, good luck on your cycle.

Ls4
- When you start BCP's might depend on your clinic. I know at some clinics they are trying to adjust your body to their schedule. BCP aren't hard to get and in most places you can get your perscription filled in 24 hrs so waiting to get it filled would not be an issue. You could just wait till you get Af then call your Re and find out when to start them.

Michelle - Thanks so much for doing the calender. Gosh you were on here a while to do that big huge list of personals. It is so hard to keep up once there is a lot of people on the board. I am going to try and do a better job keeping up this cycle then I did in the Feb/March board.

AFM - Just chillin out. I have to do a quiz and some homework for my class and idiot me left my book at work. Now I have to drive 45 min there just to get my book and then another 45 min back. UUGGHHH!!! I knew I was forgetting something when I left yesterday. O'well, once I get this homework done, then I am done with school till August. YEY!!!

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Hi everyone,

I would like to join this forum, as I am hoping to do my first ever IVF cycle at the end of May. I could definitely use the knowledge and support that you all seem to have around here!

A bit about me.....I am 42 and my husband is 54. We have been married for 4 years and do not have any children (second marriage for both). I have always wanted kids but kept thinking "there's still time" blah blah blah. Then I wised up and got educated about all of this and was horrified to find what the stats were for someone my age! We tried naturally for 6 months and then decided to seek a consult at a clinic in the Denver area (we have to drive 4 hours each way!). The preliminary news has been pretty good----everything looks normal (uterus, ovaries, tubes, etc.) and my numbers have been better than expected for my age (follicles, FSH, LH, AMH, etc.). However, my husband had what we now jokingly call "suckful sperm" ("SS" for short--hey, maybe a new acronym around here?!). Given my age and his SS, the doc recommended IVF and is encouraged about our chances.

I am in the final phase of finishing the final test---the Clomid challenge test. I took my last dose today and am in a hotel room in Denver tonight awaiting my Day 10 blood draw at the clinic tomorrow morning. We will know next week the results.....if all looks good, we will start our first cycle when I get AF, likely the very end of May. I am nervous, excited, and scared, and also feeling a bit isolated as all of my friends either already have kids or are younger and don't have any fertility issues. So, even though it took 3 weeks, I think that joining this forum will be the best thing for me. I have lots of questions still about how the actual IVF will work, but I know they will be answered in time.

In the meantime, I will try my best to learn everyone's names and situations and hope to both give and receive some much needed support. And please take note of my user name..."Stay Positive." I am known to be a pessimist, but have made a vow to stay positive for ALL things pregnancy-related, no matter what. I figure it can only help my chances for pregnancy as well as help my life in general, so I hope you all can do the same and together we can have TONS of positive energy flowing every which way.

Until later.....thanks for reading!

I am sooo out of it right now. It turns out that I only spotted last night. I had absolutely no spotting this morning. I am cramping off and on but AF does not want to show her face. I highly doubt I am pregnant (tubal blockage). I wonder if I should call my RE's office and ask for something to bring AF on. Do you guys think it would affect the cycle in any way? Should I just wait? I am currently on day 38.
