Hi all,
Good luck to Sand and Anglina for your tests, is a stressful time, but will be well worth it in the end.
Wendy, lovely to hear from you. I can relate to the control issues you describe, we're so used to being in control of our lives, we find it extremely difficult to have anyone or anything be out of our hands. I'm with you though, my clinic made me wait (frustratingly!!) between cycles, and I think this was a good thing. I think we need to look after ourselves, this IVF lark is stressful enough without not taking a breather between cycles.
Take care all
Belinda

Hi all,

DEBRA - I am 32 on the 30th March. Its on a boring Tuesday this year. Will most probably go to London for the weekend as most of my friends still live in the city (i opted for beach life down in Bournemouth). When is your birthday - must be a fellow arian?
I hope the blood tests are still coming back positive. Fingers crossed. What a terrible time you and DF must be having.

Hello to the rest of you. I can't post much as I'm off to a sign Language class. Need to be there in a hour and the poor dog hasn't been walked yet.
See you all soon. Good Luck you 2ww.
Kathryn and Alison - sory to hear your news. I've posted on the other thread. Life can be sh** but we will get there in the end.

Hi, sorry to have such bad news but it's all over. The results are back and I've dropped from 3000 to 800. I wish we'd got a straight negative last week as getting a + but then bleeding like this and being so up and down, has been awful.

This was our final tmt. We struck lucky with our first and already have the most perfect baby girl. Her name is Maya, she's 10m old and I couldn't love her more. We feel blessed to have a baby and were realistic as to our chances of any further success.

We'll be a very happy family of 3. Finn and I met in South America so have said we'll pop Maya in one of those baby-backpacks and travel again. I feel sad now but accept that we've already been very lucky. We've always agreed that we'd stop after 3 tries, not just because we have Maya but because the emotional toll is huge, as sadly most of you already know.

To finish on a positive note, I'll be rejoining the gym tomorrow and then booking a restaurant for my 40th birthday next week. I've not touched a drop of alcohol since New Year so can see vast quantities of red wine and champagne being consumed!

I'll keep watching and posting but am wishing you all the very best luck in the world :)

love
Debra.

Hi Debra

What a nightmare for you! Having the positive result and then a negative is gutting.

Having plans is good too, gives you something to focus on.

Look after each other.

Enjoy your travels

Love

Debra,

So sorry to hear your news. You must be devastated. At least you have little Maya who must be a real treasure. Look after each other and give that red wine a good go at the weekend. Enjoy your birthday and making your plans for the future. You sound so together.

Love Allison

Debra,
Was so sorry to hear your news this morning.
Maya sounds delightful, and a family of three is indeed a beautiful thing, your travel plans sound wonderful as well.
Am thinking of you my friend.

Debra,
What a bummer. It must have been such a hard week for you both. why do we get put through this?
You are sounding positive and thats good. Look after yourselves. I know you have Maya, but it is still devastating to try for something you want so much and not for it to happen. Life is unfair, but it sounds like you are going to make the most of it. You couldn't really go travelling with 2 children? I know that isn't any consolation and actually is just as bad as what my Mum said to me after my negative ... "well at least you have a nice house". She didn't realise that I would prefer to sleep in a shed and have a baby, than live in a nice house. I don't really give a damn about the house compared to how I feel about having a baby.

All the best Debra, and sorry again.

Hi Sophie-Jane

Boobs not sore like they were last week. Good / Bad ...? who knows ? .. and Knicker Checking hourly, so it's keeping me busy ! 6 days to go... I'm using Merional too. I didn't know this was the cheaper option.

It's Angelina's big day tomorrow !! So, she'll be posting with a BFP - WON'T YOU, ANGELINA. +++++.
:D :D :D

Susan - where are you up to with your follies ?

....and Sophie-Jane. How are you ..? I saw you were off to Signing class the other morning. Do you work with Deaf people ?
