Hi girls, it's been a long time! I am finally on Facebook though so I feel like I at least get caught up with Tina and Meg. You girls really should get on it. I don't do much on it myself but I love to read how people are doing and see how their babies are growing up.

Jenn~ OMG this baby is right around the corner...I can't believe it!
I hope your shower went well and you have finished all your last minute things. We have the babies beds up already and most of the room done. We just need to get a rocking chair and finish a few loose ends with painting. I love the way we did things, nice and slow, which is usually not my husband at all! He's usually the type that has to have everything done in one weekend. He has been great through this. We do a little at a time and it has been a lot of fun!

Angie~ I hope Amelie hasn't reverted back to her horrible night. Poor baby, I wonder what was wrong. Is it teeth do you think? One of my friends just went through that and the entire teething experience was horrible for them but luckily they're through it now. It won't be long before I'm sharing my late night stories with you all!

Talk to you guys soon. Have a good weekend and Happy Mother's Day!

Hey Jenn.
Yeah pm me because I used to have your blog address but I just looked and can't seem to locate it. I'll keep it next to Sassy's so I can visit there frequently and check in on the little guy!
Not too hot here...yet! One weekend it got pretty hot and we met some friends for an outside lunch. I didn't really have ankles that day (or night!)and my toes were HUGE but after putting them up for a day or two, they were fine. Really it was just that weekend I had a problem. It's really been pretty nice spring weather here so I'm not complaining one bit!
We saw this couple out when we bought our furniture that was also "shopping" for baby furniture. She looked really pregnant but she was one of those little bitty things (you know the one's we hate!) so I couldn't really tell how far along she was. They were telling us how they thought they had found some furniture but the guy closed his shop, so they were back to shopping. They didn't seem to be in a hurry AT ALL and I said so when are you due? She was 38 weeks pregnant! Can you imagine?? Oh my gosh, I don't think I could sleep at night! That would drive me crazy knowing I was so unprepared. Oh well, I guess that's just me. So...I think you're doing pretty darn well with just wall hangings left!
I can't believe how close it is for you. Looking forward to hearing all the details and seeing the little guy!

hi everyone - glad our preggie ladies are going well - Jenn please PM me your blog address too - can't wait to see pictures of Anna's little brother when he arrives - not long now.

We are going well here - I am back at work 3 days and so far so good - although I am not sure how I am going to fit in a bigger job than I had before in 3 days rather than 5. Delegation I think! I have started a management course and that is what we learnt yesterday.

Amelie seems to like creche - it is good for her to see the little kids and learn from them - apparently she loves chilling out in the swing watching the toddlers running around out the window. Cute!

I love Wednesdays now - day off from work and me and Ams hanging out together all day.

Must go now - need to check what happened in the federal budget and if they are restricting rebates for IVF which is what was predicted - grrrrrr!

Have great days/nights girls.
Me 39 PCO - TTC since Aug 05
2 IVF/ICSI, 2 FET. All BFN

Sorry it's been so long...life gets busy, doesn't it, even when you're not doing much of anything! Lucy is doing great...she's such a big girl now. She is repeating pretty much everything we say. Of course the first phrase she said is "Oh My God" (which she says sounding like a Valley Girl). It's funny, but my dh is pissed...I guess I say it all the time and don't realize it. Better work on what you say now, guys, because before you know it they'll be repeating it in front of just the person you don't want them too!

Angie, glad to hear work is going well. Bet it was hard to go back, but it sounds like Amelie is doing great at daycare. That's awesome that you found such a good place.

Jenn and Nickster...enjoy pregnancy! Glad to hear it's going well. And Jenn, I would love to have your blog address...

To everyone else, hello and hope all is well. We're off to see Elton John and Billy Joel tonight...I'm excited. Does that make me cheesy?

Hey girls~

Glad everyone is doing well!

Meg~ I know what you mean- I have been sooo busy lately but I could not tell you what I do all day that makes me so busy!! The time just slips away and before I know it the week is over and I have less and less time before we are a family of four! How was the concert?? I would LOVE to see Elton and Billy in concert! I bet they are good entertainment.

Nickster~ getting closer and closer. Have you registered? You did good getting things slowly for the babies and not waiting until the end! Glad you are having so much fun with it. I loved shopping and picking out stuff for Anna's room. It has been so last minute with Sam that I haven't enjoyed all the parts! Plus I think not having a big shower and registering has been a bummer. WE had to buy everyhing. It is much more fun to pick out stuff for other people to buy for you!!

Angie~ back to work huh? Glad Amelie is adjusting well. That is a load off your mind I bet! I can't wait for Anna to go to 'school' in the fall. She needs to see other people more often and play with others more often.

I have my 36 week checkup Friday morning. I am not fond of it but it has to be done! I am thinking she will check to see if I am dialated while she is in the area! I am anxious to see. DH is terrified that I will go into labor earlier than the c section. I would hate to have to call someone in the middle of the night to come take care of our daughter while we rush to the hospital. He is afraid I will have the baby in the car since I go into labor and progress so fast!

Ok nap time- AKA mommy runs around like crazy trying to clean and get things done before the monster wakes up!!

Later!
Jenn

Hey! Me again...

I just checked Sassy's blog and I just wanted to say I loved her post on The day Before Mother's day. Sassy, I don't know if you read this but I thought your post was beautiful- well said! I have felt the same way at times. I can remember many times in my pregnancy with Anna feeling soooo guilty that I was pregnant while others were not. I cried A LOT about it, especially since my best friend was five years into her infertility journey and had yet to conceive. I was going to post a comment on your blog but didn't know if you would know who I was!

Jenn, I thought the same thing about Sassy's post. She has such a great way with words....it's amazing! I called my dh and had him read it too because it just hits home with all of us. It's so wierd that as long and as hard as we work to have babies, the guilt we feel when we finally are but it's the same for me too.
And..I thought the same thing, I wanted to make a comment on her blog but didn't think she would know who I was either!

Jenn, I just checked out your blog. Anna is so cute and so big. I loved that about Elmo...Lucy is the same way. What is it about Elmo that makes all the kids go wild? Also, I think we must have the same taste in kids' clothes and shop at the same stores because Lucy and Anna have a lot of the same outfits! (like the blue butterfly shirt from Target!)

Okay, so I am shaking so hard right now and can barely type because of the tears......just got a positive on a test!!!! Holy shit. Holy shit. Holy shit. According to the internet, I'm 4 weeks pregnant! I'm freaking out. I just called my ob's office and they don't even see me until 8-10 weeks, isn't that insane???????

Oh my god, you guys. Seriously.

Hi ladies!
Yes, yes, I know. I'm not exactly a consistent contributor around here...

And so I stumbled back on here... to find that our Meggo managed to get herself knocked up again!!!!!    Wow! Congrats! I''m smiling from ear to ear :D . That does sound FOREVER that they won't see you for at least another month. But then again, I suppose we all got spoiled with early MD appt. Most of us had three ultrasounds by 10 weeks!

Jenn: you are getting so close!!! Please include me in the PM'ing of blog address... I want to see pictures! I'm glad you liked my post:). Just weird how going through infertility for so long gave me all sorts of complexes... like enjoying Mother's Day, or worrying if other women are saddened when they see us because they are struggling wtih infertility.

Nickster: I was the same way... I wanted to be prepared way ahead of when the babies were due. I nested something fierce

Angie: I dont' know how you do it! You were always so busy at work as it was. Delegation will truly be your best friend (and if you figure it out---clue me in I am TERRIBLE at it!)

Vicky: We actually do use protection. I felt stupid asking about it, but my Perinatologist nearly fell over himself laying out my options. Just the month prior he had a patient with IVF triplets... who got prego again spontaneously when they were six months old. No thanks. Three is enough for us:). So for now (until I can get dh to go in for a snip snip), I have an IUD.

Fee: What is the update on Rio??? I'm also of the "wrapper in the garbage but must cover with other garbage so that dh doesn't see how bad I'm being" group. but now that you mention it, the mattress is much more handy...

Tina: How is nutrisystem? I could use some portion control... or self-control at least:)

The babies are doing well. I consider this the "sweet spot". They are fun to play with, finally over the worst of their reflux, and not yet crawling. I'm thinking my life will get much more complicated once they are seriously mobile!

I am also on Facebook and would love to find you... but wouldn't have a clue as to what your "real" names are. Anyone willing to disclose their identity, please pm me... if you show me yours, I'll show you mine

Hope you are all well!

AHHHHH!!!! MEG!! You GO GIRL!! Congrats! I am sooo excited for you and I totally understand your worry about not seeing an ob until 8 weeks. I called my old fertility Dr. when my regular ob said that- and they took me in and did blood work. I was nervous. Thank goodness they remembered me at the fertility office. It turns out my Dr. over there had gone back into the field of OB/GYN so I switched to her and got early ultrasounds. :)
Take care of yourself!

Sassy- good to hear from you. Glad things are going well, the babies sound great. I love looking in on your blog! I'll pm the address to ours.
Jenn

Phew, I've calmed down a little bit. Still can't really believe it, but there it is. And of course I'm instantly back into the land of worrying that something is going to go wrong. I wish I could just be one of those people who assume everything is going to be alright instead of being so pessimistic...

Hope everyone is having a happy Memorial day weekend (do you celebrate that in Australia??). We're actually having glorious weather here, which is a miracle. Am sporting a magnificent early summer tan which I love (I know it's so bad for me, but damn it fat just looks better when it's tan!!!!)

WOW MEG.........Congrats!! That is so awesome!! I just got on here today and was of course shocked! I am so happy for you. Your appt. does seem like forever away but like Sassy said, I think we all get spoiled with the IVF monitoring.

Speaking of Sassy...sooo good to hear from you. I am going to pm you with my fb name so we can all chat on there too.
I love reading about the kiddos and seeing them grow up. They are so very cute!

Talk to everyone soon. Jenn...still waiting to hear of the arrival!!

Meg~ I agree, I plan to tan as soon as I can!! Dark is thinning right? I have always seen a tan as a way to cover some of my flaws. Esp. since having kids, my legs are a mess of veins in some places. Not attractive! Have a great weekend! Glad your weather is good, ours is yucky!
