Hello everyone! I'm Kelly from Ohio, I am 25 years old and this is my first time on this site. I'm also new to IVF and am looking forward to meeting others that are going through the same situation and can offer support during this stressful and exciting time. I had a Laparoscopy done in December of last year and the doctor found that my tubes were completely blocked and said that IVF would be the only option for my husband and I. We started the IVF process April 5th. I just had my Lupron shot April 22 and am going in this coming week for instructions on the Gonal F and Menopur injections. This past week, I have had horrible headaches everyday and am wonderin if it could be from the Lupron. Has anyone else had this problem with the Lupron injection? I'm interested in meeting new friends that can help me during this process. Thanks for listening, I look forward to meeting all of you and hearing your stories.
I am also new to this forum and like you, am looking for support from other women going through IVF. I am 42 and due to my age, IVF has been recommended. I am currently finishing up a Clomid challenge test and if all looks good, I will likely start my first IVF cycle at the end of May--just about 1 month later than you. Keep me posted on your progress--I'm sure you'll have much to teach me! Good luck----
Hello Ladies! I too am new here...sort of. I've actually been following the boards for almost a year but never could muster up the courage to join. Needless to say I've had both fresh and frozen cycles (see in my signature) so I'd be happy to share any insight I can. I've been dealing with fertility issues for the last 5 years. First they found I had a large polyp in my uterus, so that came out. Then about a year later they found another and decided to do a laprascopy and found I had endometriosis everywhere. At that point it was IVF or bust. No success yet, in fact I'm dealing with chemical pregnancy #2 as we speak, argh!
Kelly- I know this is after the fact, but I too had horrible headaches while on Lupron. Have you started your injections yet?
Maria- Good luck with your clomid challenge test!
Luck to us all
-Heidi

I have just joined these boards too having just finished my first IVF cycle. We have been ttc for over 4 years and are due to start next cycle in June.
I had quite a lot of headaches each time I had a new drug for about 4 days and then they eased off. Then I just worried they weren't working! That was never a problem though, it was only that the embryo didn't implant.
I read these boards last time and they really helped so I plucked up the courage to join this time.
Thanks for the posts...so good to have companions in this. Heidi--I'm sorry to hear your news, but you sound like you are trying to stay strong, which is a great thing. And Ange, keep us posted on things and I will do the same. Nice to meet you both!
Hello
I'm Linda 32 from south Florida and I too have embarked on this IVF roller coaster. Had Laproscopic surgery on 4/08 removed my tubes due to infection. Starting Lupron 5/18, just finished my consult today and recd my calendar, shooting for retrieval on 6/8. No male factor issues on DH side. Thinking that a little support will help make this thing so along easier.
Good luck to all
Maria-Yeah, trying to be as strong as I can. The only way out of situations are through them, so on I go. Just getting the few replies on my postings has helped so much! We really are not alone! Hope all is well with you.
Ange-I was the same! I read and read these boards but couldn't join. It's been the best thing yet. Are you doing a fresh or frozen cycle? My next cycle won't get started until sometime in July. I have not been to the June/July cycle buddies board yet b/c I don't have definite dates. Have you?
Linda-Absolutely. You need all the support you can get. The ladies on these boards have seen and done everything, they're amazing! I really hope all goes well for you this cycle, keep us posted.

Heidi - Hi. I know it has been great on these boards so far. I am doing a fresh cycle. I have joined the june/july board to try and keep up with everyones progress. I am worried though as this is our last free cycle.
Kelly - How are you doing? Have the headaches settled down?
Linda - Sounds like you have had a lot to deal with. I hope the support on here really helps you.
Thanks for all of your responses. I look forward to hearing how all of you are doing.
Maria Welcome! First of all good luck with your clomid challenge. I look forward to hearing about your progress as well. Have you heard anything new? I am on the 7th day of my Gonal F & Menopur injections and my retrieval should be sometime next week if all goes well. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Heidi - Thanks for your answer about the headaches. Luckily they have gone away, but they were pretty bad for awhile. I'm sorry to hear of your struggle so far. I know it can be very frustrating. Stay positive, i'll be thinking about you! I noticed on one of your posts that you mentioned a buddies board. What is that exactly?
Ange - Good luck with your next cycle. I hope everything is going well for you. What stage are you at right now? My headaches are much much better, thanks for asking. Your right, the headaches were about 4 days. Keep me posted on your progress!
I hope I didn't miss anyone, if I did I apologize. It's very nice to have the support from everyone so thank you. As I was telling Maria, I'm currently taking the Gonal F & Menopur injections. Did anyone experience cramping or pain during this?
