Hey! I am in a similar situation as you... 28y/o also first time with IVF... stims start on 5/9. Good luck to you! Join us in the April/May thread! Lots of really great folks on there who are very supportive!
Good luck to you. Hopefully we will get our BFPs with our first cycle!
I am another first try success. I was 26 (no reproductive issues) and dh was 31 (low count, poor motility) when we got pregnant on our first ivf w/icsi a year and a half ago. So it can happen on the first try! Good luck with everything!
Me- 28 DH- 33 Male Factor
1st IVF- 12/07- BFP! Ella Michele was born 8/26/8
2nd IVF- 04/09 - BFN
1st FET- 09/09 - Chemical
3rd IVF - 04/11 - Embies didn't make it to ET
4th IVF - Fall 2011??
It looks like there are lots of us who were fortunate to have success with our first IVF. I was 29 (irregular af) and dh 32 (low count and motility) and we did IVF with ICSI and we now have a 3-yr-old ds. You are so young and to overcome a male issue with ICSI seems to be very possible- I wish you all the best!!! Hope your dreams come true!!
We are also very fortunate that it worked the 1st time, i had a clean bill and DH had poor count and motility, we did ICSI, transferred 4 perfect embies and now have one wonderful son. It unfortunately is a game of numbers mixed in with some luck.
Baby dust to you!
me 39 + DH 46 low mot - chemo
#3 IVF Lost one twin at 8 wks
#2 IVF May 2010 Ectopic
#1 IVF

Thankyou! This is really encouraging! I am 28 and DH is 37 and we are only planning on transferring two... hopefully they will be good quality. I really am hoping that the first time works!
Hi - I was a first time success story - we did IVF in 2007 and I had a little boy in March 2008. We made 21 eggs, 15 survived extraction, 12 fertilized and 3 made it past blastocyst. We had one implanted and two frozen. Last week I had one of the remaining two implanted and am doing the waiting game with my pregnancy test. I hope I'm as lucky second time around. Best of luck.
