Congrats Mo! I am so excited for you. I have about 6 or 7 weeks left to go myself. I can't believe. Sorry to hear about the milk production, but on the bright side you don't have to worry about your baby going hungry. Unfortunately for me when I had my daughter, my milk was not plentiful and I was only able to breastfeed for a few weeks. She was so hungry and not getting enough to eat!

Well girls I have to go in to the dr and get my bp checked and find out the results of my 24 hr urine. Hopefully all is well. My feet have been so terribly swollen I can barely walk by the time I get home from work. Oh well I will let you all know how the dr went later.

Hi Guys!
Haven't been here for a long time.I've been busy organizing,painting baby's room,gardening(as much as I can now)
First BIG CONGRATS to MO! Enjoy your little one!Glad you are done and off to worry about other things :D

Melissa, will be praying for your little one!Gosh,it never gets any easier, isn't it?!
Lyly, hold on! When is your due date?

AFM-I've had a scare myself and ended up in the hospital on my b-day on May 9.We went out for dinner and I went to the bathroom and noticed brown spotting.By the time we got home I was dripping brownish blood+sudden diarea,we called my doctors, they told me to go to labor&delivery right away.I should say,the service was excellent-they already were waiting for me with all monitors,u/s machine ready by the room and my doctor(he was on call that night).Wow!Well, they checked everything, but couldn't find anything wrong-the baby was fine,no placenta separation, cervix long and closed

 ,no contractions. So,they kept me overnight and told to stay on a bed rest for a couple of days .Monday I went to my clinic again-everything looked well, now every week they do a couple of tests and baby gets points for practicing breathing, activity, amount of water,h/b,contraction.
Well, they think my spotting may be from the other baby-could be the pieces of old placenta coming out.Anyway, told me to take it easy.

I still work about 4 hours a day with 30 min breaks in between appt.'s(staying off my feet)
.
Nicole,how is your pregnancy going?

All is good- he was able to pick up the heartbeat with the doppler! Said I can come back anytime to hear it He is just so great! Next appt is 6/25 and then we'll schedule the u/s for anatomy check, etc. If there would happen to be any abnormalities, we'll go from there. Now I can really just enjoy being pregnant for the first time since finding out on 3/28!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY ME!

Hang in there all you large and in charge mommies to be!

love to all!

Hi Girls,
Glad to hear that everyone is doing good.

Congrats on the new mommies and soon to be mommies. I wish you all the best.

I wanted to know those about to meet your lil ones, have you though about banking your babies cord blood?

I did it with my second child and really it has been the best decision I have ever made.

You never know if you will ever need it but I feel safe in case I do in the future. You can bank it for 21 yrs. The is a fee every year of only $124.00 and that is all the first time when you get enroll you do pay some but really it is a good choice.

If you need any info let me know I will refer you to my rep that helped me with all my questions.

Thanks and best wishes!!

Lili♥

Glad to hear everyone is doing well.

Nicole-it is so exciting that you heard the heartbeat and finally can relax and enjoy the months ahead! I am excited for you.

Marina-that was a pretty big scare, huh? Glad that everything went well at the hospital. At least they will check you every week which is a good thing for both you and the baby. Definitely will put your mind to rest.

Lyly-how are you feeling girl? You are getting close to the end now-you must be excited. Do you have the room ready and everything? Or are you like me and won't touch it until after the baby comes and you know that everything is ok?

AFM-I am doing well-although getting big. I cannot imagine that I can get much bigger since I am bigger at 31 weeks than I was at 4o weeks with my son. It is amazing what the body can do.

It will be interesting to see how long I last since I have about 20+ Braxton Hicks contractions a day. They are getting more frequent now and actually stop me at times during the day. Kinda hard to explain to my students when I am in the middle of teaching. My seniors are all ready to drive me to the hospital-it is pretty funny.

Anyway-next week is a busy week-I have the consultation with the pediatric surgeon on Wednesday, the high risk on Thursday and meeting with the new OB that will deliver on Friday. Ahhhh...nothing like a week of doctors, right?

Melissa, what do they tell you about these Braxton kicks?I'm having them too, maybe not 20+,but quite of few in the evening. They told me if they get closer then 15 min apart in an hour,,go to the hospital to check what's going on and have the fibro....(can't remember the name ) test that checks if you are in danger for pre term labor.
Good luck with all your doctors!

Nicole,glad it's going good for you! :D

Hi girls- Sorry it has been a while since I last posted. My blood pressure has been stable and my 24 hr urine was negative. I had an u/s on Mon. and the baby's kidneys are normal! Whew, what a relief that was. The baby is growing nicely he is about 5 lbs now, I can't believe it. I was a bit nervous when they said that but I remember that when I was pg with my dd they told me she was already 7 lbs at 36 weeks and she was going to be big. Well needless to say 4 1/2 weeks later she was only 6lbs 11 oz. So those u/s are not so accurate. Well I go back to see the dr on Tues 5/26 and u/s mon 6/1. Then I start with weekly biophysical profiles. Hope all is well with everyone else.

so good to hear good news lyly! :) I had just trace spotting last night and this morning, but it is always enough to take the 'wind out of my sails'! I wanted this so badly and it just feels like as soon as I start to get happy, I spot and it freaks me out. I just want to enjoy being pregnant!

Lyly,I'm glad the baby is fine! What a relief!
My spotting stopped too.I had a baby shower from people from work, got a lot of stuff and a lot brought back since I had already so many clothes and blankets that I don't know what to do with them.
I go weekly for these bio profiles since 29 weeks-they monitor amount of water, practicing breathing, activity, contractions. So far we got A+.Did you notice any change in movement yet since baby gets bigger and loses room to move?
Nicole I had spotting at exactly the same time as you are-no explanation,I guess it's considered normal now

Hi

Post by Lili »

Hey girls I have a question. I had af on may 10th and by the 15 it was gone. I bd on sunday the 17. This past weekend I was having some spotting. COuld that be implantaiton bleeding?
I tend to ovulate very early in my cycle. I got pregnant last time with my second child two days after was gone.

Could I be pregnant this early? My doctor said anything can be possible could this happen again to me?

thanks

lili~ I say anything is positive- you could always request a beta, right?

I have to vent, so sorry for the long post! Here goes:

Oh girls- I'm so absolutely sick and freakin' tired of this stupid spotting crap. EVERY SINGLE TIME I even get a little bit excited or happy or accepting of the idea of this pregnancy..... it starts again! *warning-TMI* This AM when I had what I'd call an easy BM, meaning no straining whatsoever, I had blood (bright red) mixed in with that clear stringy stuff.

I'm actually on hold waiting to talk to a nurse at the OB's office, more or less just to give them an FYI that it happened- I'm not "bleeding" per se- that is to say, I am not spotting except for when I wipe. That's it, nothing on the panties or liner.

I have to safely assume one of two things:

1. It's just that my cervix is just really sensitive and reacts to some BMs

or

2. I over did it yesterday at the gym- having kept my heart rate under 140 and taking breaks if I felt out of breath.

NOW- I saw the OB on Tues this week because I had told them I had a similar issue last week from Tues-Thurs, then nothing Fri-this morning- but they wanted to do an U/S "just to make sure" everything was ok.
WELL, it was Tuesday!

Could something have happened between now and then? Does the amount you spot/bleed have any direct correlation to there being something wrong? UGH!

SO RN says no gym (lifting) until no bleeding/spotting, that's easy enough, but I asked if I can walk and she said yes, but use your head- if you walk and also experience spotting, then stop and just take it easy and let my body adjust to being pregnant.

I let her know she is talking to a person who LOVES to be active!!!! I know it's not forever, but I just have this fear of getting grossly obese! -this has to do with my mom's side of the family being over weight.....

Anyways, sorry for the lengthy post- but I just had to vent and will be cross-posting to the December '09 thread, too.

I just want that squirmy little crying ball of mess handed to me so I can kiss and love it!!!!!

Nicole,

What did the u/s showed last time this happened? I know some girls spot during pregnancy and it could be something normal yet something bad. But don't want to scare you because we all all different. In my case when this happened It ended up being a m/c.

Have any of your girls spotted while not pregnant? Can you spot after bd'ing? I did a hpt and came back negative. ofcourse it could be to early to find out.
Dh is so excited and he is telling the kids I am pregnantl..lol which I don't think so I think that spotting might of been cause of after sex but ofcourse we get all nervous about everything.

Praying for you girls, good luck!

lili: everything was fine in the ultrasound just this week- I'm fairly certain it's just an irritable cervix and am swearing off lifting weights until after baby is here :) I should and am going to try, to really enjoy this time! I worked HARD to get here!

I am no help as far as what you're going through with the spotting- I always spotted 2-4 days BEFORE AF would arrive! That was part of the reason the RE put me on progesterone supp.
