I had my first IVF cycle in Feb and got a BFN. Now I just completed a FET tranfer with my only 2 remaining 5-day blasts. One was 95% intact and 100% expanded. The other - not so great - 80% intact but 0% expanded after thaw.
POAS 5dp5dt - BFP!!
first beta 5/17 - 112
second beta 5/19 - 287!
I thought I would be really excited at this point. I am in a way, but I am more terrified now than when I was waiting. Now something can go wrong. If it was so hard to find an egg that would implant in the first place due to poor quality, then what are the chances that this egg is a good enough quality to carry to term? I am very fortunate to have one 3 year old dd, after two m/c. One at 8 1/2 weeks, the other a blighted ovum.
My next beta is tues (5/26). I think once they detect the heartbeat, possibly at week 6/7 chances go up to 95%.
I am trying to stay positive, but don't now how I will manage 7 more weeks until the end of the first trimester.
Hcg level today - 7, 111
By my calculation, if doubling every 48 hours, the level should have been somewhere between 2400 and 4800. Thinking this is a good sign or maybe twins? I go for my first ultrasound later next week.
I'm feeling a little more positive today. Each day that goes by gets me a little closer to feeling more relaxed.
It is not fair to have to go through all this stress and anxiety trying to have a baby. Is normal to think and feel this way. Remember how blessed you are with your DD and be thankful for each day that goes by and you are pregnant!! I'm sure it has been a really long way but you made it you got a BFP and your numbers look great. Now relax, stress is not good for the baby and enjoy each day as it comes.
Good luck on your ultrasound!
