New to this site and need some support

Hi Everyone,

A good friend who had a successful IVF and beautiful 8 mos old son referred me to this site. I just completed my first IVF/ICSI cycle, with negative results last Thurs. We were so hopeful that it would work out, as all my hormone levels seem "normal", but my fiance has a lower sperm count due to a reversed vasectomy. I am 38, he 41. Anyway, we know the statistics and are prepared to go back again. It's just so much harder than I originally expected....and as much as I am trying to keep optimistic about our chances for another go, all these doubts and fears keep creeping in. I am a fullptime step mother to my dp's two children, 10 and 12, but it is not the same as growing your own, which I have always wanted.

Hey Amandas05 - I know exactly how you feel. I am 38 and had my 1st IVF cycle in December that resulted in a BFN 2 days before Christmas. I also had a FET in January and another in March that both ended in negatives. I am not giving up yet, there are still several options and I'm gonna try everything possible until I know there is nothing I can do.

IVF has been the most emotional situation of my life. There are so many ups and downs you think you are ona roller coaster. I have no friends or family that have infertility issues so they don't understand. The ladies on here are great support.
