Hey dys24! So glad you're able to get in next week. I was able to see my regular OB but my next 2 visits will be with 2 different OBs. They like to rotate you through for the reason you gave. I actually spoke more with my prenatal nurse than my OB on my first visit anyway. A third lady did my u/s!

Well I bought 2 pairs of capris a few weeks ago 1 size too big thinking I would have time to grow into them....NOT! I already can't wear them buttoned without being super uncomfortable! I have them on with my belly band from Motherhood and they feel great

Can't wait to see your [bump] pictures!! :D

dys: OMG, I love it!~ It looks about like mine, too!!!

Ok, everyone, here is a really long post, but I just have to vent!
Oh girls- I'm so absolutely sick and freakin' tired of this stupid spotting crap. EVERY SINGLE TIME I even get a little bit excited or happy or accepting of the idea of this pregnancy..... it starts again! *warning-TMI* This AM when I had what I'd call an easy BM, meaning no straining whatsoever, I had blood (bright red) mixed in with that clear stringy stuff.

I'm actually on hold waiting to talk to a nurse at the OB's office, more or less just to give them an FYI that it happened- I'm not "bleeding" per se- that is to say, I am not spotting except for when I wipe. That's it, nothing on the panties or liner.

I have to safely assume one of two things:

1. It's just that my cervix is just really sensitive and reacts to some BMs

or

2. I over did it yesterday at the gym- having kept my heart rate under 140 and taking breaks if I felt out of breath.

NOW- I saw the OB on Tues this week because I had told them I had a similar issue last week from Tues-Thurs, then nothing Fri-this morning- but they wanted to do an U/S "just to make sure" everything was ok.
WELL, it was Tuesday!

Could something have happened between now and then? Does the amount you spot/bleed have any direct correlation to there being something wrong? UGH!

SO RN says no gym (lifting) until no bleeding/spotting, that's easy enough, but I asked if I can walk and she said yes, but use your head- if you walk and also experience spotting, then stop and just take it easy and let my body adjust to being pregnant.

I let her know she is talking to a person who LOVES to be active!!!! I know it's not forever, but I just have this fear of getting grossly obese! -this has to do with my mom's side of the family being over weight.....

Anyways, sorry for the lengthy post- but I just had to vent and will be cross-posting to the December '09 thread, too.

I just want that squirmy little crying ball of mess handed to me so I can kiss and love it!!!!!

ianmichael3- so sorry about your spotting. My take on this would be to limit your exercise although I understand how much you like to be active. Maybe start doing a little each day and increase your exercise level to see how your cervix can handle it? Lets say do 15 min and if next day everything is ok go up to 20 min? I'm sure everything is fine with your baby because as I remember you've been spotting frequently this pregnancy right? and each time you go for an u/s everything is ok. I know when I bend over too much in one day I get horrible cramps so i try to avoid that as much as possible and so far it has worked. As far as weight gain, I think as long as you eat right you won't gain a lot only the baby weight. I would listen to your doc and try to avoid exercising and see if thats the cause for the spotting or if its when you go to the bathroom. I hope this stops for you soon. Thanks for the bump comment :D You guys should post yours too i want to see!!! :D

cymplicity27- I hear you on the pants not fitting. I can't fit into anything even my fat pants so I just got a bunch of maternity pants which are awesome!

Where's everyone else? this thread been really slow lately. Hope everyone is doing ok.

dys: OK! Just give me directions on how to post a pic and I'll post one tonight if I get a chance- we have to get a new camera, ours is 7 years old and just doesn't take good enough shots of our 6 year old playing ball- let alone a still shot!

Yeah, I am sure you're right- I'll try to cut back, but it feels like I already have! With Ian I did absolutley nothing and learned my lesson, now that I want to be proactive about my health, etc- I feel like I can't! :( I'll just have to be very careful about food choices because I'm an all or nothing kind of gal, so it would be VERY easy for me to just give up and eat anything and everything I want!

I think the threads tend to get quiet once we're preggers and all is well because there's nothing to constantly be monitoring! I take it as, no news is good news...... so I'm hoping everyone is "enjoying" getting into their maternity clothes and nearing the time we feel our little ones move for the first time!

XOXO!

Hello:

Ianmichael, I hope you are feeling better. I understand your preocupation about overweight, I have the same problem. Althought I am not skinny, am not overweight. All my life I have to watch what I eat and exercise to be in a good weight, and gain weight for me is as easy as eat ice cream. But, right now I think you need to focus and your baby, After birth you work extra hours in the gym, but for now, relax and do nothing. Enjoy this. I think I am over doing it, my husband is doing the housework, and I am working only 4 or 6 hours a day. But I try to make my metabolism fast, every 2 hours I eat a fruit or juice, something low in fat and calories.

Dys - You look so cute!!!!! I look a little bit more chubby. I use dresses all the time, everything is very tight.

Cimplicity - How are you doing?

Does anyone felt the baby yet???? I know is too soon, but I felt like a little snake moving around. And what about names, I am going crazy, I don't know how to name my baby.

Sari: you are absolutely right. I am going to try my best to just enjoy this now and I can spend the extra time in the gym later! :)

I don't think I felt the baby really move, or know it was the baby until month 4-5. I felt a few things this time, but I think it's just because I know the difference- and I could be wrong and it could be too early- but who knows.!!!

As far as names go try: nameberry.com It's a very cool sight.

Hi everyone! So glad to see some activity on this thread! I miss you guys when you're away :)

Nicole, I agree with everyone else. Take it easy with the exercising for awhile. At least then you can pin point what's causing it. If it stops, you know it was the exercising. Like dys24, if I bend over for too long I feel this horrible pain/cramping so I avoid it and squat more, as silly as it looks sometimes :)

Sari, occassionally I feel some weird movements but it's usually just gas  I think you're suppose to start feeling movement around 18 weeks so a few more months to go!

dys24 your bump is so cute :D . Mine looks similar. I've been trying to take weekly photos so I can see the growth. I'll have to try to post a pic tonight.

AFM, I got a call from my nurse (a week later) saying that my urine tested positive for a little bacteria. They are treating it like a UTI so I'm on antibiotics for a week  I haven't had any symptoms, which is good. We have a board here at work similar to craigslist which we can sell things. A woman posted maternity clothes and I bought about 30 pieces from her today all for $85!!! I am thrilled! I got summer, fall and winter clothes so I should be good to go now. Some things are so big that I can't imagine getting big enough to fit them, but I know it's coming! :? :D

Ian - Sorry to hear about the spotting. I know how frustrating it is. I have found it really hard too to slow down. I wasn't super active before pregnancy but more than I am now. Lately I've been so tired. DH and I went crib shopping the other day. It was all I could do to walk around the store after working all day. I've also been having horrible headaches. I assuming it's from inceasing hormones.

I'm glad everyone else is doing good and starting to get baby bumps. I'm starting to get one myself but not noticeable to anyone. I was already a little overweight before pregnancy thanks to a thyroid problem.

Well, I need to get off the computer. It's not helping my head.

aims, I'm with you with the headaches! Mine started sometimes last week. I usually get one mid-day and then another in the evening. I've been taking tylenol and it helps.

Aims and cymplicity: I have had the headaches too- they are awful! Thank goodness mine usually only last part of a day, but I'm toast and not good for anything even with a little tylenol. I had one Sunday, but nothing since then- ah, well, then there's the spotting, but none today- YAY

My headaches have been really bad. Tylenol doesn't do anything for me. I've been having them daily and they start around 3 everyday. Lately the only thing that helps is a dark room and a ice pack.

aims: hey, well, I will start thinking about you everyday at about that time and hope they start to lighten up- I've heard they do around the end of the 1st trimester, so we have to be close!! Hang in there- my guess is you're getting a double whammy b/c of the twins.

Hi everyone!

I am just crashing to see how all of my march/april cyclers are doing. I have to go back and read your thread to catch up with everyone. Most of you should be nearing the end of the first trimester...how exciting, second trimester is definitely the best part of pregnancy.

Dys- love the bump! Can't wait to see it in person.

I will catch up soon...good luck to you all, I will be reading and waiting for the gender announcements!

afm...I am set to do an FET on June 24th, so hopefully I will be back on the pregnant side of the boards real soon. I am currently hanging out on the june/july cycle buddies thread.

Ella is doing great and I just know you will all have a blast when your babies one day get to this age. She is 9 months old now and crawling, saying new words, waving to people. It is really a new, exhausting adventure everyday!

Again, hope you are all doing well, and I will talk to you again soon.

Hi Ladies!

Thank you all for my bump comments :D I hope I'll see all of yours soon too! All you have to do is upload it to photobucket.com and get the link code [img] and do a preview first of your post and see if it shows up.

Yesterday my day was horrible. I woke up in the morning went to the bathroom and bam I had brown blood when i wiped :( not a lot very small but it was there, then nothing I went to work and of course ran to the bathroom once i got there and again same thing brown with pinkish blood mixed with mucous. I called my obgyn and they said if its not birght red and with cramps that its normal. Now, I understand that most of the time its normal but since I didnt have even a spot of blood thru the whole 10 weeks and there it was at the start of my 10th week I got so panicky. They told me if it gets worse to call. Well it went away about afternoon and until today morning nothing. I'm so scared that something happened to my baby, but they said that if it was a m/c i would bleed bright red blood and have cramps. This is so frustrating, I have to wait until thursday for my ob appt and beg them to do an u/s. I hope they will if not I'll probably scream and kick :D

ianmichael3- now I understand you on the bleeding thing. It was so scary and I'm still not comfortable about it happening to me, but I guess there's nothing I can do other than take it easy until Thursday.

Sari- glad to see you around! I dont feel anything yet only alot of gas lol

cymplicity27- great job on the maternity clothes! I wish we had a site like that to buy things! I'm sure with twins you will fill those clothes in no time!

CT_Michele- wow how exciting Ella's crawling! I can't wait to see it someday, I've been super busy too with my job and doc's aptt. and parties etc. Hopefully we can get toghether soon!

ok going bakc to bedrest, my doc suggested is should lay down for couple of days.
