Question for Ghost on Femara cycle

Ghost (and/or anyone with a Femara success story),

I'm currently in the 2ww of a Femara cycle. I took the lowest dosage of Femara with IUI and a trigger shot. I got 3 follicles with 2 being mature
and my lining was 10.8 on CD11. Do you think it would be a good idea to do another Femara cycle if this one is a bust? My (march 2009) CD3 FSH is 8.9 and E2 is 29. I am also a good responder to gonal-f. However, I have never gotten pregnant with any fertility treatment. I got pregnant at 42 naturally, after having an HSG x-ray while waiting to do a frozen cycle. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Sounds like the letrozole (Femara) worked adequately for you. IUI cycles just don't have a very high success rate, maybe 10% or so. It often takes several.

I didn't realise that femara is Letrozole - I had this and got 15 eggs - 7 of which fertilised. One of which is my son! I took letrozole as I did not want to have large quantities of oestrogen (taking letrozole does not increase your oestrogen).

WOW! 15 eggs with Femara only? What was your dosage? I'm on 2.5mg, the lowest dose. If i'm not pregnant with this cycle, I will proceed with a femara/gonal-f injectible cycle next month.
