hello

Post by Tara2009 »

Hello ladies,

How is everybody doing?

Dys - you have such a cute bump. I am tempted to take a picture of mine. Will do so soon.

Ian - sorry about the spotting. I freaked out when I first spotted few weeks back. As long as you are not bleeding, I think you are fine. I can understand that you want to be active, workout and all that, but please go easy on that. This is a time when we have to be careful. So please take care.

I read that some of you ladies have headaches. I have headaches too frequently.

What kind of diet are you ladies on? My doctor said I have to take 3 glasses of milk everyday! Yikes! I am just gulping down the milk - I hate it so much.

Tara.

Hello everyone,

I started out my day stressed. I got up at 5am to go to the bathroom and wham..spotting. It was only when I wiped but it seemed like a lot to me. Also it wasn't brown or light pink. It was red. I wasn't cramping so I thought maybe I just did too much yesterday. I went back to bed and when I got up later the spotting was brown and very little there. Now it is completely gone. I'm still going to call the doctor's office tomorrow but I think everything is fine now. My doctor still hasn't taken me off baby aspirin so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. I just can't wait to have these twins in my arms so I can stop worrying!

Tara - My doctor hasn't really put me on any special diet. They've only told me to increase my water intake. Some of the paperwork. I've been drinking a lot of milk but only because it seems to help my acid reflux. My headaches seem to be better this weekend except I'm starting to get one today. So, I plan on relaxing all day.

aims327- so sorry about your spotting. if you read back one page I had spotting on friday too! I can't believe we'r all spotting urghhhhhh. I called about mine (mine was dark brown and light pink) and very small amount and they said not to worry if its not a flow bright red with cramps. I'm still worried but thank goodness i have an appt of thursday and hopefully will get an u/s to see how the baby is doing. I think you should call too, they are there for help and i never hurts to ask. My spotting was only there for 2-3 wipes with little on paper and thats it but its still got me worried! I dont know how i'll survive until thursday because now everytime i feel something down there i run to the bathroom since I hadnt had any bleeding for the whole 10 weeks. I guess the worrying will never stop for us :?

Tara2009- I haven't seen my obgyn yet and not sure if they'll tell me to eat specific things but my RE didnt mention anything about diet just said dont go out and eat the whole dairy queen lol I'm not craving any sweets so I have nothing to worry about on that part. I acutally like milk now that I'm pregnanat I wasnt a fan of it before. I bought the bananonut cheerios and can eat tons of it in the morning so i drink lots of milk a week.

dys - I am definitely calling the doctor's office tomorrow. I'm still having the spotting off and on but it is now brown. I think I might have an infection because I'm having some burning when I pee. I had weekly spotting every week until I was 7 weeks. Then it stopped until I had my first OB appointment when they did the pap. Then nothing til now. It is very frustrating! I think I might try to get an ultrasound too because I still have two weeks to go until my scheduled one. I'm going to go nuts!

It's funny you mention the banana nut cheerios. I haven't been eating those but cheerios is the only cereal I want lately. I like the strawberry yogurt ones.

I will let all of you know what the doctor says tomorrow. I hope all of our spotting and headaches go away! :D

Hang in there

Post by Tara2009 »

aims - I had the same kind of spotting few weeks back. It was bright red in the beginning, but turned brown and then pink the next day. My OB said some women experience spotting throughout the pregnancy. So I am sure everything will be fine. Hang in there.

aims327- I hope your spotting stops soon so you won't have to worry! Let me know what they say. It seems like all of them say the same thing, to take it easy etc... the good thing is it didn't become heavier so I'm sure your ok I hope you get your u/s so you dont have to wait another 2 weeks.

mt- Congrats and welcome! we'r only 1 day away from our due dates!!! :D Its crazy that we'r all experiencing spotting. I had some for the first time this past friday it was only 3 wipes and it was very minimal but its still scary! I went off my PIO shots at exactly 9 weeks. Like you this is my first pregnancy too so I'm over analyzing every little thing!

I called the doctor's office and they want me to get an ultrasound anytime I have bleeding or spotting. So, I have my appointment at 3:30pm today. I'm going to be a nervous wreck all day. I'm still having spotting but brown in color. I'll update everyone after my appointment.

Hey everyone. Hope you all had a great weekeind (besides the spotting :? ).

It's so nice for you all to share your experiences and symptoms, etc. It helps me not to freak out AS much if I experience the same thing. Luckily I haven't had any spotting since being off PIO. I do freak out a little when I feel the slightest twinge or cramp/pain. Last night for instance I was laying on my back and I felt this sharp pain on my right side. It did it about 3 times and then stopped. I know there is so much going on down there and you're bound to feel things here and there but my first reaction is always "OH GOD"! I think we're all just doomed to feel this way until we have our babies in our arms

Tara, I was given lists from my RE and OB on foods to eat and ones to avoid. I know I'm not doing so well on the diet....I never do :? I do use the lists as a general guidline and I stay away from the foods to avoid like lunch meat (unless it's been warmed up), large fish high in mercury and soft cheeses like blue cheese and feta cheese...all my favorites basically

Welcome mt! I stopped PIO at 10 weeks. How much longer do you have with the injections?

aims, I think I mentioned my infection earlier in the thread. The only symptoms I had were a few times I noticed my urine appeared a little cloudy. It sucks that we have to deal with these little things on top of being preggers :? I've being TRYING to drink more water but it's so hard for me. I've always had a problem with getting enough liquids. I eat meals and totally forget about my drink and have to force myself to drink it. Anyway, good luck at your appt. today!

Michele
, thanks so much for checking on us :D. I miss all the ladies from the march/april thread. We're all spread out in different places now. Please continue to keep us posted on your FET! I'm praying for you!

WELCOME MT!!! I can't imagine you have much longer on the shots- I was on suppositories and taken off around week 10 because of it causing major irriation and spotting- otherwise, I think they would have kept me on them until I was 12 weeks. Happy to be off them, but still had some spotting- I think it's gone for the most part, now though.

AIMS: :) All will be well, I just know it- everyone's spotting sounds normal, not indicative of miscarriages. Pain is what is associated with the bleeding and from the way it sounds, no one is really bleeding, THANK GOD!

FOOD: ok, is it ok to eat queso or white cheese dip from mexican restaurants??????????????????? I AM TOTALLY CRAVING IT TODAY!!!!!!!
I also wish I could have feta :(

INFECTIONS: I have had cloudy urine, does that mean there's something wrong????

Hello:

I hope all of you are better today. Sorry for the spottings, I know is nerve wreking. I were spotting two weeks ago and I cried thinking the worse. Well, here is what my RE told me. He said sometimes in the first trimester we spott and have some pain because of the uterus expanding. But it never hurt to go check with an u/s.

Aims - relax, everything will be fine.

Tara - how strange, My Ob/Gyn told me not to eat fish, he said to avoid it, because we didn't know which ones have mercury. Not even tuna.

Mt - Wellcome, we have almost the same time. I ended my shots at week 6, but am still using supp ( I hate them), and my RE told me to use it 30 more days because of the spotting.

AFM doing good, no more spotting or cramps, not so sleepy now. Some dizzyness yesterday and nauseaus, but feeling good and getting big, lol. Imagine, I already talk to a personal trainer to help me in January. In my last u/s, Baby was dancing, moving all around. I was so happy, crying and laughing at the same time. A few month ago, I thought this was never going to happen to me. Well, my RE discharge me, I was so sad, all personal in the office are so nice and understanding, they call my baby their nice or nephew. One of them (the nurse) in the ET, she hold my hand and cry while watch the monitor during the process. They make a party at the office when I called with the result because for them it was almost impossible, but for God nothing is impossible.

Sorry for the long post, I am a little emotional today.

Hugs for all of you.

Sary

ianmichael, there's no way to tell really unless you have a urine test. When is your next appointment? Unless you're having pain or burning, you'll probably be fine until then and then you can mention it to your OB. They told me I had a little bacteria in my urine and they would treat it as a UTI. As far as the queso, I THOUGHT I read that it was on the soft cheese list. I'm not sure though. I found this on the web "From what I gather, aka, what my doctor and girlfriends have shared with me, most mexican restaurants do in fact use american cheese products that have been pasteurized. However, since we can't be for sure about this, its best to avoid queso from Mexican restaurants. You can have queso from "American" Mexican chains like Moe's, Willy's, Taco Mac, etc. Because they use American ingredients which are pasteurized. "

Sari, I was given a list of fish I could and could not eat. It's pretty much the same list you'd find by doing a google search. I was told the omega 3 in fish was good for you and baby, but avoid fish with high mercury levels. Specifically fish low in mercury I can have 2 meals a week, high in mercury none. Some that are high in mercury are the larger fish like grouper, king mackerel, shark and tuna steak. Other than the tuna, not fish I'd normally eat anyway. I can have canned light tuna once a week (less than 12 ounces I think).

Cynthia: :) AH-HA! Yes, that is good to know, I went ahead and checked with this restaurant (El Arrierro) and they do infact use American white cheese that is pasteurized! HALELUJUIAH! :)
