Hi all!! lots of new people!! i have been MIA lately, had parents in town and have been really sick. morning sickness and constipation issues!! YEAH, the joy of the first trimester. i'm already on nausea meds but i was sick with my son for the first 16 weeks so i expected this. i heard both heartbeats last week, both measuring perfect. so, we are really excited. i was 7 weeks this past friday. i'm surprised at all the multiples people are having, its exciting!! i was realeased to my OB so my next u/s will be around 10 weeks.

on hearing the heartbeat--we tried at 5w6days but couldn't but at 6w6days they were so strong!!

anyways--i'm gonig to attempt to do better at personals and stay in touch more.

Great to hear about all the good news...

Sarah - Congratulations ..it is great that you are having twins..

I have one day to go before the U/S... I am a bit nervous but being positive. DH keeps saying that we have to be positive..

A quick question - for those of you who already had U/S, did you have the scan transvaginaly or on the tummy...? I would appreciate if you can let me know...

Welcome Mandy! In regards to the cravings, I have been craving salt and sugar (candy). I also have morning sickness really bad and that totally sucks. I can be starving, eat something and then feel sick to my stomach afterwards, it's crazy.

Sita - I had my u/s at 6w6d and it was vaginal, I believe most RE's do them vaginally.

i think all u/s are vaginal for the first trimester at least. i know with my son my 10 week u/s was vaginal as well.

Hi ladies-

Hope you all had a good weekend. DH and I were soooo busy trying to get our house ready to put on the market.

Sita-- your u/s should be vaginal. A tummy one at this point won't show much.

Sarah-- congrats on the twins....maybe I will be joining the twin group on friday after my u/s.

afmfbaby-- I'm glad we are all on this board together too!

Dixie-- I think the heartbeat at 13/14 weeks is using the external one. I heard my DS heartbeat at the OB at 11 weeks. But I heard it at the REs office at 7 weeks

So here I am still waiting! and WAITING! I feel normal for the most part. Cramping that is dull. Slightly upset stomach, but I didnt get sick with my son, so I hope this one will be the same. I'm really sick of the PIO shots already. 31 more to go.....but I'm not counting

Neffi, The twin thing has been quite the trend on this message board! I will send you happy thoughts for Friday.

I received my u/s at 6.2 weeks and it was vaginal. They also showed a close up of each baby and it looked like a lima bean but you could see the flickering of the heart. Too cool! I'm not sure what the equipment was but we heard the heart beats, may have been a doppler???

I can't wait for my ultrasound. Its supposed to be 2 wks from monday which would put me at 7 1/2wks. I am going to see if they can move it up though b/c my DH is going back oversees for work in a week and a half. I would still be over the 6 wk mark, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that they will move it up. I have my third beta tomorrow, so I will ask them then. My beta numbers are already of over 1000, and I think they like to see that b4 the ultrasound.

hello everyone, sorry been really busy. Glad to see everyone is doing so good. I go for my first u/s on Tuesday i am starting to get really nervious. Today i had a really big scare went to the bathroom to find blood. it has now stopped, no cramping, called the MD said as long as there is no cramping just take it easy and call in the morning for an appt. I think that it was from me and DH "playing around". lol. Has any body else had this scare. I have found online that it could be just irratation of my cervix.

Well just got back from the MD. everything is ok. I have what they call a sub- hematomia which they said is common and it should clear up. Well there was 3 sacs. For sure twins the third sac was smaller but they said they will look again next week to see if they can see the baby. Baby A is at 6wk2days HB - 122. Baby B is 6wks1day HB - 119. DH is so excited. The last time we where never able to get a HB so we are further along on this one. I hope everyone is doing good.

Hey Ladies,

we had 2nd u/s this morning and our little bean (only one) has grown from 4mm to 6mm but I did not get to see heartbeat I am measuring 6weeks 1day but according to my o date I am 5wks 6 days I am getting nervous but my nurse says I am right at borderline for seeing heartbeat she drew another beta, E2, and PIO level and will call later with results. I found out our office does not have doppler so hearing is out of question until I get released to OB. She will give me next u/s appt when she calls with my labs.
I will post them later along with personals I have to head to work. If they only knew what I do on the computer all day

Mandy - Everything sounds good and I wouldn't worry too much about not seeing the heartbeat yet. My RE waited until I was almost 7 wks (6w6d) to do my first u/s because he said it usually takes that long for the heartbeat to be visible on u/s.

CVargas - Congratulations on the Twins (Triplets)!!! How exciting!

Mandy- it is fantastic your baby is measuring ahead! I think it's just too early- I am sure you will see lots more at your next u/s!

cvargas- my goodness, triple congrats to you! how exciting! cannot wait to hear how your next u/s goes!

i was thinking to look into making a chart for all the people on the board. i think it would be helpful to keep track of everyone and their next u/s, number of babies, EDD, etc.

Also, a number of us have signatures with tickers from ticker factory. they are super easy to add and help everyone to keep track with pregnancy progress if you are interested!

If you'd like to participate, please send me a message and I will work on the chart!

I just had my third beta today. Numbers looked great. They moved my ultrasound up to next tuesday, so my husband could come with me. I can't wait. I hope we will be able to see the heartbeat. I will be 6w4d when we go in.

Dixie I am so happy DH gets to go with you to u/s I think I would be really upset if DH wasn't with me But I have grandma in waiting always ready to go

Faith77 I went to ticker factory and it was easy it does all the work and you just copy the html and paste it in you profile signature.

Mindy Congrats on Healthy baby U/S and being released to OB I can't wait my RE keeps us for 12weeks I hope you feel better soon and get some relief.

AFM I had long night never even sat down by the time I got home I was out as soon as hit the couch DH had to work hard to get me to come to bed My labs came back E2 450 PIO greater than 20 and hcg only 3116 I do fall with normal values but wish it was higher but I started lower than most so not complaining much....Nurse gave me the choice of waiting till Monday or come in on Thurs for next U/S of coarse I am going on Thurs and Monday if I can I will have more photos of the baby before it gets here than after I'll check back later sorry for long post.
