Beta # question???

Okay- I had my 1st Beta on Friday 5/22, my # was 466. Doctor not only told me the great news of my BFP, she mentioned that the # "suggests" twins, but that she has seen this # w/ a singleton, just not often. I was 10 days past a 5dt. Anyone have similiar # on 10p5dt? I have my 2nd beta in the morning, I am hoping the # has doubled. From my understanding singleton or twins will not be confirmed until U/S or are Beta #'s an accurates gage? Thanks for any feedback!

Great beta numbers. Sounds like twins to me, but that won't be confirmed until the ultrasound. I have 1 month old twins.You can see my numbers below.

Can't tell with any certainty, but that number could easily reflect twins.

My first beta level was 1143 14dpt5dt and then 2632 two days later. The nurse told me that there may be twins but when we had our first US, it was one precious little boy.

Faith77 - mine was 650, and i asked the nurse that question. she said it doesn't necessarily mean twins but it does concern me.

Dixie- Chop- How many days past transfer for your 1st beta- also did you transfer 3day or 5 day? Just curious - the more I see on the message boards the less I think my beta #'s are "suggesting" twins- I have seen over 1,000 for 10pt, ect...anyway like I said- curious. Congrats again!

I have another beta question so far 14dpo27, 16dpo70, 18dpo 125,21 dpo 757, & 23dpo 1207 a little concerned with this one but nurse did u/s early today at 5wks2days and 2 sacs 1 perfect fetal pole and all and the other small and looks empty I know it is very early and and my first u/s is for 6/2 but nurse is patient and understanding So I guess what I wanna know is what is a vanishing twin nurse mentioned it and was to scared to ask what it is exactly. Is it too early should I wait for next scan I read it can be just too soon. Also would this help explain crazy beta numbers? Has anyone here had this what happens to baby 2? If its any help we did 3dt 1 8cell perfect and 1 5 cell slow but good. Nurse said not to read into it and wait till next scan.

faith77- 13dpt was 650, 15dpt was 1175. I agree, the more I have read, the more I think these may be normal. Just a high normal. in our case, they would have to be identical twins, since we had one egg implanted.

I am 11 days post transfer and I had my first hcg drawn. The level was 906. Is this a good number? twins?

First IVF cycle- 14 eggs 9 fert 2 transfered 2 froze.

yeah, that sounds like twins to me but everyone is different. some people get high numbers with singletons but I think it i more rare.

My first beta was 9dp3dt and it was 129. 2 days later it was 378 and yes I have twin boys who are now 28 months old!

Hi All-

My first beta (10dp5dt) was 1177. My nurse & RE cautioned me about thinking it might be twins. 2nd & 3rd betas more than doubled. Ultrasound showed 1 perfect little sac & heartbeat.

My son will be 6 months old tomorrow.
