Thank you all for the encouragement. I hope that those who are still facing treatment can take heart that there may be a happy ending.
We have had a rough time over the past few days/couple of weeks. The m-w was concerned about my sister adding a lot of amniotic fluid and growing too rapidly two weeks ago. So she wanted to see her again on Tuesday. She is off the scale so they want to scan her. We now need to wait for Birmingham Woman's to come up with an appointment. ARRGGGGGHHHH. No news on Tuesday - Wednesday - Thursday. I am trying to stay calm for my sister but I am going stir crazy. My sister did chase the m-w yesterday and they said that they had the form but not allocated a scan yet. MORE ARRRGGGHHHH Googling the condition did not help me at all.
I am trying to be rationale and think that if there was an issue for my sister or our son then surely m-w and hospital would get my sister in asap. I hope it is just the usual inefficiency rather than complacency.
We have offered to pay for a private scan but my sister would like to go to 'her' hospital which makes sense. My sis says she feels ok and that he is still moving about. It is amazing how all the old stress and nerves can creep back in very rapidly all over again.
Please pray with us that they will both be ok. My dh and I have a weekend of waiting. If there is no news early next week then I shall just arrange a private scan. My nerves are totally shredded.

Hi carolyn - just wondered how things were - being trying to get chance all week to post ... not enough hours in the day at the moment .. just wanted you to know been thinking about you all xxxx
try not to worry Caroline - I was a nervous wreck half the time at the end - convinced myself I couldn't feel movement so went off to the hospital for a trace - wired up to have her monitored - on the day of my baby shower if I recall! I am sure all will be fine - and he will be fine even if he is born tomorrow. thinking of you. Keep in touch.

Thank you for all the support and cheering on. It is very much appreciated.
OMG. Simply cannot believe my ticker. OMG. Not too long now.
My sister is doing amazingly well. They have scanned her and just think that she is carrying a big boy rather than anything more serious! They have run tests and don't think that it is gestational diabetes. I am just so relieved. I just want all to be well for my sister and my son.
I went to Birmingham on Wednesday to see my sister. We went to the hospital together and met with lots of the staff to understand how it was going to work as her m-wife had said that I could not stay and look after our boy. They had a surrogacy case there about 6 months ago and it seems like it was a train wreck. So they are keen to use us as guinea pigs and try to get it right this time. We needed to see the child protection supervisor (!!!???) then we spoke to the delivery suite manager and we met with the ward manager also. They all loved the story and were keen to do what they can. At least that should be one less stress when we are there. I cannot get a bed or anything but that does not matter at all. Just don't want to be evicted when the visiting comes to an end and then my sister being asked to do things which will increase bonding for her. Hopefully this is one less thing for us all to worry about.
Hope that I will be able to post news from my Blackberry on the day but not sure. You may have to wait until we are back in London for news!!!!
Thank you all for cheering us on. Means the world to me. Please keep everything crossed that all will go well for my amazing sister and my boy.
Carolyn, I am so excited for you. Your dream is about to come true - what an incredible world we live in and what a wonderful sister you have! Sounds as though the hospital is going to work out well. So smart of you to go through everything with them beforehand so that fewer problems arise when the time comes.
I can't wait to hear news of your little boy's arrival. I am sure those sleepless nights can't come soon enough for you and DH!!
Take care,
Kelly
