PSO-OUCH!

Post by regankate »

Hi everyone!!

I wanted to ask if any of you are on Projesterone shots in oil still like I am. I am to take them until my 12th week of pregnancy!!
My question is, if anyone is on them, how is your back side???
I am getting big welts, or something like bug bites back there!!
It is only getting worse!!! I still have one month and a half left!!
It really is uncomfortable. I asked if I could switch to the cream but the nurse said it is not as good as the oil.
Any suggestions on how I could feel a little more comfortable???
THANKS
REGANKATE
wish you all the BEST!!!!

Just wanted to say congrats - welts and all for being here.

Sorry cant' really help with it - have you tried putting it in the freezer, what about ice cubes on the area you are injecting and then some Arnaca to rub in to get rid of the bruises.

Sorry all I can come up with -- sure there are some who know more than me (not many I know??!!!! )

Love
Tracey

Hi there

I had to have those injections in my first IVF and found it all very traumatic especially when you realise you have to use the BIG needles. I am wondering if you are injecting deep enough? They have to be well into the muscle. Try massaging the area really well after injecting.

I couldn't stand the smell of it - yuk! :x

Anyway good luck and hope it turns out ok in the end.

Love Dagny xx
