Did Anyone have a high beta and a singleton?

Just wondering if anyone had high betas and then it turned out to be just one baby? My betas are pretty high. 13dpo- 236 20dpo- 2457. According to the betabaseinfo....that is average for triplets!

I've been wondering the same thing Neffi211 . My first beta was 14DPO 207. I took my second blood test today and will get the results tomorrow. But my RE told me the numbers are high for a singleton, that he thinks its more than one. There really is no sure way of knowing until your sonogram and they can see how many sacs there are. How many eggs did you put in? When is your scheduled sonogram? My is next week Friday.

Mine is also next friday. I have a feeling its twins! I transferred 3 blasts, only one was great quality..how abot you?

I transferred 3 on Day 3. I'm just not sure what to think. There is so much data out there on woman who have had high betas and still ended up with a singleton. I wish Friday would get here already so we can stop wondering! LOL We are blessed either way.

On another note, have you been experiencing any lower back pain or cramping? I am. I don't remember that so much from my daughter's pregnancy. I am also so darn tired!

I am not having back pain. I am having cramping, but I know that is a side effect of the progesterone. I am thinking maultiples for me cause when I was tested with my son my numbers were low for a singleton!

My beta levels were a lot lower with my daughter too. Now you have me wondering if the doctor may be right. The back pain is a lot better and no more cramping. The doctor said the cramping was the baby making himself comfortable! LOL Well, stay in touch and let me know how your sono went. I'm so anxious to know if we are both having more than one!

Hi ladies~
Well I had my first beta yesterday I was 15dpo and my beta was 600. From what I understand that is on the higher side. But I wont know for two weeks until the u/s, and its driving me crazy! I have been having cramps and lots of lower back pain too.

Hey Neffi212,

I was wondering how your sono went yesterday? My beta yesterday came back 7,371 DPR. The sono showed two!! Twin A he saw the yolk sac. Twin be he couldn't see any. He said it could be too early or it could be the positioning of the embryo. So I am scheduled for my second sono on Thursday. Hope yours went well.

figured I would join you guys... my second beta 9dpt was 205 which I am hoping is a good sign for twins. I go on Wednesday for my U/S ... keep twin baby dust coming this way!

Well ladies,

To say the past couple of days have been eventful would be the understatement of the century. On Friday I complained to my RE that I was having a lot of pain when I urinate and told him I believe I have a UTI. He took a sample and gave me pills for the symptoms, but know antibiotics. So by Sunday I couldn't take the pain anymore so I went to the hospital. Thought I would be in and out with some antibiotics and be done with it. Boy was I wrong. They did a routine sono because I am pregnant. While there I told her that we are pregnant with twins. During the sono she asks me how many did you doctor implant. I said three, why? She said you have three babies not two!!!! And each one has a visible yolk sac and are progressing nicely! I was completely shocked!

Taina!!!!!! WOW! I only have one! My levels are just high I guess. I have read that high numbers arent always multiples which I proved last week with my U/S. But Triplets for yoU! your head must be spinning! That is crazy! I found some help online, just google affording triplets and there are forum with some tips! Good luck, cant wait to hear about your next u/s....your should have HBs by then
