dixie_chop - we got this one at Motherhood Maternity. It was the deluxe package and has two sets of headphones and a microphone so hubby can read to the baby later. It also had a prenatal cd and a postnatal cd (classical music I think). You can also hook up the microphone to the cd player. OH...AND you can record the heartbeat sounds and email them.

I think the main thing to consider with these is that it comes with a strap to hold it down (which mine did). Any movement AT ALL causes a loud noise so holding it still is really important.

Lisamaria, glad to hear that the 2nd US went well and that you are off the meds...In 2 weeks you would have finished your 1st tremester...

Dixies, I am sure the scan date will come soon and all will be well..

amfmbaby - hope your back is better now... please take care of yourself. Hope the meds are working.

Sita Congrats on seeing baby We also had high hopes for twins but are truly blessed with one. oh and no sleep here either started about week and 1/2 ago. Enjoy your time off it is well deserved.

Lisa I bet it is huge relief not to keep up with meds anymore will they check your levels again soon to make sure placenta has taken over the job? I cant wait to stop pio shots.

neffi211 great minds think alike DH and I are calling this our snow baby and it fits right it I love the snow and will have plenty by my EDD

Faith77 Have was your u/s today? I know it was great and just wanna hear it from you.

Tiffichels Welcome home I have family in OKC and I hate that drive it is only 12hours for us I live about 25min from downtown Chicago. Thank you for telling us about doppler DH is excited about getting one.

Dixie wish I had a time machine I would speed the days up for you I dont have any m/s yet sorry to those who do what little symptoms I do have still come and go and I read it could be up to 8weeks for some women before symptoms really kick in.

mom2luke I noticed your next u/s is 10 weeks and that sound fine why is my doctor doing one every time they see me. maybe its because I have insurance. just wondering. At 10 weeks do you get regular u/s by then?

AFM I feel a little better today watching old movies with fur baby and hanging around the house I go back to work tomorrow but have the weekend off so some good resting time for me thanks for all the get well wishes it's nice to have so many supportive women it's strange in a way I always wanted to play with the boys growing up

well our u/s today baby had HB 142 so we picked up the pace for mommy I had my final beta and will not no what it is other than over 5000 that's as high as they go at my clinic I now only go once a week for med check next u/s is 6/8 oh and nurse didnt give me measurements today argghhhhh she was rushing and office was packed not really my problem she isn't my fav anyway well as you can tell I have been home to long now and have started a book. Talk to everyone soon ..sorry If I missed anyone....Mandy

afmfbaby- Im with you on the PIO shots. I cant wait to be done with them! 4 more weeks for me!

I am patiently waiting for my u/s tomorrow. I am very nervous!!! Wish me luck. It is at 10:30. I wish it was earlier!

HEY ALL! Signing on to give update on my U/S today- TWINS!!! The sac that was so small last week that RE was unsure if we would see this week has a HB! So twin A is measuring 5wk6days and twin B is 5wks 5days. So far so good!We saw flicker of each heartbeat and the sacs each had a visible yolk, the sacs are close together, so cute! We go back next Thursday and will get HB per minute, etc... My parents are in town, so I have been super busy with them all day and am exhausted- didn't get a chance to read all the other posts for today, but I will catch up on everybody in the am. until then... Love to all!

Well our u/s results were surprising. We only have one in there! We are very happy since we have a 4 month old! It measured one day behind which they said is fine and the HB was 124bpm! We are sooo happy and can't wait to meet our little angel.

faith and neffi--both CONGRATULATIONS!!

mandy--not sure why your doc is doing u/s more. i think RE's just do them on a regular basis verus OB's. i have insurance so thats not why. at a regular OB you only get like 2 u/s your whole pregnancy unless something is wrong or you beg for more. my OB the first one is typically around 10 weeks and the next is around 20 weeks. and then thats it. i was lucky with my first son and measured small (he was fine) and we got them once a month but in most cases you rarely get them done.

AFm--i'm still way sick. no evergy, m/s. i was sick with my son but i can tell i'm twice as sick now, energy wise. i guess its the carrying twins versus a singleton!

Sorry I haven't checked in for a while mommies. My step daughters flew in last Sunday and it's been go go go! Lucky for me they are old enough to entertain themselves! I'm so drained. I told them we can go to the pool tomorrow. I won't be swimming since the twins are already giving me quite the bump. But it is the inbetween stage where if I wear my bikini, people could think I just have a beer gut??? So, I'll be chillaxing in the shade. I've also been craving watermelon like crazy. Any cravings for you girls???

Neffi- I know you were surprised, I am so glad things went well and you have a good HB:)

Sarah13- how many weeks are you? On top of the IVF weight gain I feel like I am in the people will think I am fat not preganat stage. I told DH tonight I can't wait to show- so I can get out of this awkward stage. also- no cravings yet....

mom2luke- sorry you have been feeling bad- I have been tired and M/S too, my MIL keeps telling me it is a good sign to be sick~ still not encouraging I know;)

AFM-tired and feeling all around yucky, waiting patiently for next U/S to measure HB of my 2 little peanuts and hoping baby B stays strong.
