Hey Amanda,

I haven't posted in a long time because I thought you'd be so busy with the twins and not have time to write. How are they doing? I'm sure they are hard work but they must be fun too  . At least you don't have to go through the long stressful journey of PGD again unless you want to have more kids :D

Hopefully, our probes will be ready by the end of next week and then we'll get an appointment to see a consultant. Can't wait to start the treatment!!!

Candice, hope everything went well in the 2WW and you got your BFP :)

That is awesome your probes will be in next week. Do you know how long after that you will need to wait before starting your cycle?

I have been extremely busy and tired. Make that very tired. The babies do not sleep well at all. They still want to eat every two hours. So we aren't getting much sleep at all. But I am so happy to have them that its ok. No, we will def not have any more kids, lol.

Great hearing from you. I will def follow up with your posts. I can't wait to hear about your BFP when you get it. :)

Amanda, so glad to hear from you. Sorry to hear that you are tired and not sleeping well but it's all worth it at the end. I hear babies start developing good sleep habits when they are 6-7 weeks so hopefully you'll be getting enough sleep soon :)

I get so grumpy when I don't get enough sleep and I always wonder how I'm going to manage when I have a baby. But let the baby comes and I won't mind not sleeping at all

I don't know how soon we'll be starting the treatment after the probes are ready. All they said that they would send us an appointment to see a consultant once they got them. They start DR here on day 21 of your cycle so I'm hoping for the beginning of July.

I will keep you updated once I have that appointment and get my dates.

A big hug and many kisses to you and the twins.

Hi Amanda,
Got great news today and thought I'd share that with you!
Our probes are ready at last and I'll have to ring our clinic in the morning to have an appointment to see a consultant :D

All I was told that the treatment would be starting on day 1 of my period because I have to take the birth control pills before DR. Did you need to take them and if so, do you remember for how long?

Hope you the twins have started developing good sleep habits and you are getting some rest.

Hi BH

That is such wonderful news. I'm very happy for you. I did take BCP on the first two cycles. Not taking the BCP makes it harder to control the cycle.

Time for the babies to eat again. :) Keep me posted.

Hi Amanda,
How's everything going? Hope the babies have got into good sleep habits by now and you're getting enough sleep.

I didn't start my tx last month as my clinic decided to change the BCP to another type of tablets which should be started on day 14 of the period and then realised that they were fully booked for July so they delayed everything and that was so disappointing

Anyway, things have started getting better now as my AF arrived yesterday and hopefully I'll be starting the new BCP on 29th July and DR will be on 5th August. Your story has given me lots of hope and made me feel so positive. I'm sooooo excited :D :D

Look after yourself and your LOs.

BH

That is so exciting that you will be starting soon. That will come before you know it. And then after that before you know it you will be holding your baby(ies) in your arms. I'd glad that my story gave you hope.

The babies are starting to sleep a little better. But my daughter has bad reflux and actually has to go to a GI doctor on Monday. I;m very worried about her bc she hasn't been eating nearly enough and I'm afraid she will get dehydrated :(

Amanda, sorry to hear that your daughter is not very well :( I hear that for babies with reflux problem, you need to feed them less in quantity but at frequent intervals so that they don't throw up as much. Hope her reflux gets settled soon.

I can imagine how hard it is being a first time mum, you panic about everything, don't you? Anyway, I think reflux is a common problem with most of the babies, so don't worry too much and hope you feel more relaxed after seeing the doctor on Monday.

She's doing pretty good. She had a scan to check to make sure her anatomy is correct. Which it is. However, her stomach empties very slowly so only after a little food she is full and if she takes more it refluxes back up. Her Dr. is on vacation this week so we see him on Monday to follow up. The last 2 days she has been eating less and spitting up a lot. So we will see what happens.

Any updates with you? :)

Hi Amanda, glad your DD is doing well. I can imagine the extra work of changing clothes and bibs and the enormous amount of extra washing you're having on top of your concerns about whether she’s getting enough milk or not. I think you are doing a fantastic job and the fact that you are coping brilliantly says what a great mum you are !

Remember it’s a natural process for many babies and it doesn’t last forever. It usually gets better as the baby's digestive system matures and goes away by the age of 6 or 7 months and hopefully, it will get better with your DD very soon. Have you tried feeding her more often with fewer amounts?

Re my treatment, I'll be starting next week :D......Norethisterone tablets next Wednesday, which will help control my period and the timing of the IVF cycle, and DR the week after :D. So excited but a bit nervous too

Hi Amanda, sorry I haven't been on for a long time.

We've been so unlucky as my DH got swine flu around 10 days ago and was quite ill for 2 days and since it takes 2-5 days, and up to 7 days to start showing the symptoms after being in contact with the virus, the tx was delayed in case I had caught it from him.

I had to stop taking the BCP because the doctor thought that even if I didn't get the flu, my DH would need time to fully recover and strengthen his immune system, otherwise that would affect the quality of the sperms!

I can't tell you how disappointed that was :( !! I couldn't stop crying for days. Every time we get excited and upbeat and feel that we are getting a step closer to our dream, something goes wrong and the start of the tx is delayed! 3 times in the last 2 months :?

Anyway, I didn't get the flu which I don't know really if it's a good thing or not  Thought it was better now whilst not p/g rather than later. I'm waiting for my AF to arrive now to get new dates for a new cycle. It's so frustrating!

How's your DD doing?

Hi Big Hope,

Just wondering how you are doing and where you are at on things. We are doing PGD as well so maybe we will be going through this around the same time.
