brenda,

My wife is also having alot of back pain and when we go back to the doctor on Thursday is going to ask them to make her work from home for the rest of the pregnancy. She really needs to lay down more to help with the pain and the swelling in her feet and ankles, but she can't do much about it while she's at work. Fortunately for us she has a good job where she can work from home periodically.
Destiny is not a matter of chance, it's a matter of choice.

Hi everyone - I had really bad low back pain the last month, but it has gotten better. My feet started swelling last week though. I go this afternoon for my glucose test and after today I start seeing my doctor every other week. In one way I hope August comes fast, but then again I am not ready for her yet so I dont want it to come too fast.

Take Care Everyone - not much longer until we hold our little miracles in our arms.

Foreverlove - I also have been having swelling in my hands, face feet and legs but usually not until the end of the day after I have been up moving around all the time.

Went yesterday to PERI and us said baby is great and weight is 3 pounds, but her head is sitting right on my (very short (stitched) cervix) which is putting alot of pressure on that area and causing irrg. contractions.

Hi everyone. I havent noticed any swelling yet but I get heartburn really bad every night. At my last dr appointment they scheduled my c-section for August 18th. I know most twins don't stay in til 38 weeks so I'm thinking I might go before then. As long as they are big enough I am hoping I do! We have the babies room pretty much all set up. Every time me and DH walk by and see two cribs we just shake our heads in disbelief! It really makes it seem more real. I am really having a hard time picking our girls name. I know the boy is going to be Jackson.....I am debating between Olivia, Ava, Meadow and Madelyn. I really like Meadow but I dont know if it's 2 "out there". What do you think????

Annie- I really like Meadow and I don't think it is to far out there. We are so undecided on a name. Everything I like my DH doesn't and everything he likes I don't. If we were having a boy instead of a girl we both liked Jackson or Lincoln. I was trying to talk my DH into naming our daughter Lincoln, but he will not even think about it.

I can't believe that they sch. your c-section already. My doc will not let me do a VBAC because I have already had 2 other c-sections but they don't sch. them until about 3 weeks before having it done.
I am sure with twins you will go earlier than Aug 18th.

Brenda - That is so funny....if we werent going with Jackson for our boy our other pick was Lincoln...lol...what are the chances of that considering it's a very different name!!!

Girl names are hard! We went to a picnic today and met the cutest little girl named Elle so that might go on the list of possibilities. Although Meadow is still my favorite!

Annie - I have the real bad heartburn and reflux too - I have actually had it since the second trimester. My doctor gave me a prescription for it, but I try to just take Tums. I definitely cant eat alot of food or I get it so bad to the point that I get sick - I try to stick with bland foods instead. I also am having a c-section and my doctor scheduled it for August 26th, but he said we may have to move it up depending on how things look the closer I get to my due date, he just wanted to get it on the books.
It is all starting to seem real as we had the room painted, we put the crib and dresser together this weekend and our glider and ottoman have been delivered. I still cant believe that I am actually pregnant, it took us so many years to get this far and I just cant grasp the fact that it is real yet.

Think I have posted here before, but in case I have not, I am due August 18th. My biggest symptom now is heartburn, its awful and my prenatals make it worse.

I also have lower back pain (but I had that before, though its worse now).

Anyone else starting to get paranoid again. The closer I get, the more I worry, what if something goes wrong now! My doctor says this is normal. I think its cause I am accumulating baby stuff and doing so much reading. This baby has become so real at this point, I could not take it if something happened to her now! Anyone else having a renewed sense of worry?

Hey everyone! So sorry it's been so long since my last post. I hate I left everyone hanging. It's just been crazy nuts here. Everyone is fine and we are out of the hospital. Bottom line was - they think I threw a clot off the low-lying placenta. I don't think the fluid level for Baby A was ever really low. My high-risk specialist isn't that impressive and I'll be frank - I don't trust him.

Anyway...the nursery is done. My first baby shower is tonight! I am so excited!! The boys are moving like crazy! My feet, ankles and hands are swollen beyond belief. My toes touch and it grosses me out! Ick! And I am starting to get really uncomfortable for the first time. Every move takes every bit of energy I have. So I suspect I will be spending a lot more tim eon the couch these next few weeks. More than I have been anyway.

Glad everyone is doing well! I'll stay in better touch.

Yes Lynnie, I too have bad some bad thoughts lately. It comes in waves, around 24 weeks, the "viability" window opens. I worried quite a bit. Then I watched a Discovery or TLC or some cable program recently about babies 911. I saw something horrible...turn away those with worry...the woman had "fetal demise" where they had to do a C Section to deliver her stillborn baby. It completely freaked me out and its all I have thought of since, I have a heart monitor that I rented and I check them daily however I need to know what that is and what causes it. What I have researched is this...The etiology of fetal demise is unknown in 25-60% of all cases. In cases where a cause is clearly identified, the cause of fetal death can be attributable to fetal, maternal, or placental pathology. I am trying to remain calm however, its part of being a mother right, we never stop.

lynniecat- & babyhope1 -(Lynniecat)glad to hear from you I don't think we have been in touch since the FET (IVF) posting. I also worry about fetal death right now the Highrisk ob said that at any time the cord can wrap around the neck and cause death and there is nothing they can do about it , of course unless they are mont. you in the hospital 24 hours a day. That is freaking me out!!!!

Cocosmomma- so glad to hear from you again and glad the twins are doing well. My feet and legs are also swollen and it does look gross.
Best Wishes for your shower tonight.

So I start getting monitored once a week at the end of this month, and while its nice to know they will be following, I still worry that, like you said babyhope, that unless its 24/7, we can never really feel ok. Its just getting so close, I wish they could take her out now! UGH! Everyday another package for baby shows up which is great, but my fears go up with each one!

I also have TONS of braxton hicks, which they have monitored and said were ok, back pain, menstrual cramps, pelvic pressure and a funneling cervix! Yikes!

And of course the VCI http://www.vasaprevia.org/vasaprevia/velamentous.htm

Yahoo!! I am so excited, you never know, it may be THIS month! It appears my belly has fallen. I know they both turned head down which feels better as they have more room however I feel they are getting ready!!! So, does anyone else have problems walking?

I feel alright from the gradual weight gain with some lower back issues however the hardest part for me is the pelvic pressure. Feels like my pelvis is made out of jello!
