Hi Ladies,

How is everyone doing?
Congratulations to all ladies that got BFP so exciting and I wish you good luck...
Also I see a lot of improvements with other ladies with stims. and retrieval. Good Luck to everyone.

As for me two days ago I received the biggest shock than I could ever imagine.
After last u/c and b/w on Monday everything looked perfect and I was scheduled for ET on Wednesday.
The ER procedure was not bad. After I woke up and I seen my husbands face when we told me that dr. wants to talk to me I new that something is terrible wrong....
The face of the dr. confirmed my doubts … he hardly managed to tell me that they could not retrieve any eggs because all were empty inside …. Yes all 14 eggs which we saw in u/c two days ago and measured from 18-21 mm where empty……I was in shock for a minute and I couldn’t hear the explanation that dr. was saying… I start crying as dr. continued to ask a lot of question and about HCG shot did I take it as they told me,.. which I confirmed that everything I done was with clinic confirmation... How this did happen even my dr. doesn’t know….
So, this are my update news, if everyone knows more, or heard about such a terrible experience I would appreciate if you can reply…thank you ladies and I wish you all the best..

FFZ- im very sorry to hear about your ER experience.

one of my friends had similar experience when she was taking injectibles alone(not IVF). she ovulated naturally before the scheduled time and missed that cycle.

since i knew about my friend's case, I had asked my RE about the same. she said it is very rare to happen during IVF. but there is a 1% risk of you ovulating by yourself before ER, after receiving the shot during IVF cycle. it seems my RE have once had an experience where they saw the eggs even during the day of retrieval in U/S, but they were gone before the ER procedure within a gap of 10 min.

it is very unfortunate that you had to go through this rare case. but I wish you all the very best for the next cycle. you will be in my prayers.

FFZ-

I am so sorry about your news. I have never heard of that happening, but I am pretty new to this IVF info. I will have you in my thoughts... Please let us know if we can help you through this in any way.

I had my ER on Thursday (yesterday.) I had 9 follies retrieved, and 4 maybe 5 were fertilized using ICSI. So far, all 4 look good. We are getting daily updates, and hope that things continue to progress nicely. My transfer is scheduled for Monday. Gals with BFP's what did you do after your transfer that may have helped your success? I will do anything... I am so worried!

after my transfer I had to lie flat for 20 minutes then I got up to pee then laid for another 30 to 40 minutes Flat on my back.
I didn't lift anything more than 5lbs. drank water and gatorade and made sure I ate 2 egg whites a day. (don't know why but my dr swears by this)
Other than that.. alot of praying and resting. I know I took alot of naps and rested so as not to overdo it. So good luck and we will keep praying for you! *yes, I know many people will probably say that the stuff I did was not necessary but hey, like you .. I wasn't willing to take any chances!

Oh, one other thing my DH reminded me of... NO perfume type (scented)ANYTHING!! deodorant, laundry soap, I use dove unscented soap.
My nurse said she thought this was crazy until she saw for herself a lady that kept having BFN and according to the nurse "bathed in perfume" the Dr spoke to her and explained that if she wanted a better chance at BFP she needed to listen to what he said about the perfume. She finally listened to him and the next month she was pregnant!!

But read the posts, some ladies are on their 4th try, some have lost their babies afte successful implantation, for me it's my 2nd fresh cycle. So just be brave and put a smile on ur face.

Well, I had my last u/s this morning before ER! They are going to call me later today to let me know when to come in on Monday for ER. Then they think my ET will be Thursday (3dt) because of the lower # of follicles they see on the u/s (6 definitely mature with 4 or 5 that might or might not be mature). I hope and pray there are at least two to transfer (but three to transfer with a couple to freeze would be even better!)

Hi cuppycake and welcome!

Like you, I can get caught up in the "anything can happen mode" and start worrying waaaaay too much. So, I told myself that I must live by some Eastern philosophy, which teaches the importance of living in the moment. Literally, be aware only of what is happening in that moment, the present, and try not to get caught up in something that has not yet happened. I don't know, it seems to help manage my anxiety a bit, so maybe it will help you too. Good luck and let us know how the ER goes!

2ww...how faint a positive did people see?

Post by alexis »

Hello again ladies! I hope everybody is hanging in there wherever you are in your cycles.

FFZ: I'm so sorry to hear what happened on the day of your ER...that is absolutely devastating news to hear. I can only imagine how you must feel. How are you doing now?

Rosario: Do you have your Beta test tomorrow?

Eve2860: How early did you do a home pregnancy test? Was the positive very light the first time? Did it get darker each day?

Acornmom: How are you feeling? You have an ultrasound this week, right? You'll have to let us know how that goes:)

Lauren526: Good luck with your ET tomorrow! You'll have to let us know how it goes! I'll then welcome you to the 2ww!

Hopeful_009: did you have your ER on Friday? How did it go?

Cuppycake: Welcome! Good luck with your ER this week! Let us know how it goes:)

Sara73: Where are you in your cycle?

As for me, I am in the 2ww...it is so hard and the days are going by so slowly!!! Is anybody else in their 2ww right now? I go in Thursday for my blood pregnancy test. I broke down and took a home test today and I may have seen a very very faint positive line. I could totally be imagining it too!!! I want to see a positive so much, I wonder if I just saw what I wanted to see. Does anybody have any insight on that? I'm sure I will take a few more in the next few days. My fingers are so crossed!!!

Baby dust to all and keep us posted!
