for all the mommies that are sick, i was miserably sick with my first son for 16 weeks (i don't do this pregnancy thing gracefully) and he was as healthy as can be. so..there might be some truth that being sick makes a healthy baby or 2!!

Does anyone feel really hateful? Like worse than when you were on the meds. I have been arguing with my husband over everything! Everything he does irritates the crap out of me. That is really unusually b/c I am usually extremely laid back (he usually gets away with murder). Wondering if its just me or if anyone else feels this way????

Neffi- wow, I am surprised...but even though we all secretly hope for twins, I think one is better with such a small one at home. Of course I would love twins this upcoming time too, but in reality, 3 kids under the age of 2 would be extremely difficult. I guess this just goes to show that beta numbers really vary a lot. There is just no way to know until u/s, if I had to put money on your u/s, I definitely would have bet it was twins. But congratulations on one bean and a healthy hb!

Hi Girls... hope you are keeping well...

Neffi and Faith - congratulations ..this is great news...

Neffi and afmfbaby - yes, I am happy with my result too with one baby.. Things happen for a reason and I am sure all will be well with you.

Neffi - I see that you already have another baby i.e. Jack..Was he conceived via IVF ? This is an inspiration for me as it has already got me thinking about having another child..after my first..:-) What inspired you to go for the 2nd one just after the first one was born ? Hope you don't mind me asking ?

dixie_chop - I too had an arguement with DH and started throwing books at him..I never behave like this. I read that all the extra hormones make you more irritable. The book also suggested that we have to appologise immediately and make up...I remembered this only after the arguement so appologised to DH. He understood. thankfully.. So don't worry, this is not unusual..

afm - I am ok, just feeling quite tired and having alot of gas and sometimes feel dizzy. My mum is here for another two weeks so she is looking after me well and makes me eat all the veges and fruits...My next U/S is on the 18th..am still excited...

Keep well girls and remember to pamper yoursleves too..

Love,
Sita xx

Sita-- Dhs insurance changed and we were losing IVF coverage so we did it again right away becasue we couldn't pay out of pocket. Our 1st IVF was out of pocket and then DHs insurance switched to NJ so it was covered and then they were bought out so we had like 4 months of coverage so we jumped on the chance.

CT michele-- I am happy with one. I think twins would have been alot and I would have been worried the entire pregnancy becasue i didnt even carry jack full term. So we are happy with one and we are content with two children. Plus in the future Dh and I want to do foster to adopt.

AFM-- I am feeling okay, I am starting to lose my appetite which happened in my 1st pregnancy, which is ok with me since I havent even lost all my weight from Jack yet. I have my next u/s on the 24th and then will be released to my OB.

Hey, did you guys hear of the intelligender?? its a urine test to determine the sex! I think its 80% accurate and you can do it at 10 weeks! I dont think you can do it with twins though!

Neffi211 - I read about intelligender last week. I am the most impatient person in the world so I was sold before even looking at it. But when I typed it in the search engine, there were all these bad reviews. There was a news channel that tested it and said that the results weren't that accurate and when they contacted the company about it, they did have a comment. So that made me rethink it, esp with the cost. I will be holding out for the ultrasound (even though its killing me) ;-)

Sita - So glad to hear you say that. I have been jumping down his throat over everything. I think I have hung up on him about 5 times this week. Usually he doesn't handle our arguments well, but he has been oddly patient lately, so he must realize that its my hormones.

Hi ladies. Yes, I have been rageful too this week. Luckily hubby is very understanding and we kinda laugh about it later. Haven't thrown anything yet but I feel rage building up inside of me when he says something I don't agree with. Hubby talked to his nephew who's wife has a 4 month old and he said it's only gonna get worse. Gotta love our patient hubbies. LOL.

hi mommies,

hope everyone is doing good.

Quick update went today for 2nd u/s confirms that it is TWINS not triplets, which DH and I are very excited. They both have very strong heart rates 147 and 168. We are very happy. We go back next Thursday to the RE and next Friday to our first OB. My RE does not release until 13 wks. but wanted to go ahead and get in to see the OB also.

Hope everyone has a great night.

hI ladies,

Hope all of you are feeling better and keeping healthy..

cvargas76 - Great news.. Congratulations...

tiffichels & dixie_chop - Yes, deep breathing also helps to keep me calm..our poor DHs are so patient and we need to appreciate this ...Thankfully they understand. :-)

Neffi211 - That is great and brave of you to start the process again. You have given me some inspiration. Did you decide the timing based on the funding or did you check with your doctor first whether it was safe. How long does it normally take for things to get back to normal (uterus) before you can start again ? We are self funded. I had another chance of getting NHS funfing but was so put off with the NHS hospital that we decided to go private again....

AFM - Getting bored being at home but thankful that I can rest and eat healthily..I am going to miss my mother who leaves in about 10 days..

Take care everyone...

Love,
Sita xx

Hey guys- doesn't seem to be much activity on our board the past few days. Does everyone feel as sick as I do? I have been "all day sick" for 2 days now, nausea and fatigue mainly. I hope I am wrong and the rest of you are just super busy:) Anyway- just thought I would send out a mesage that I hope all is well with everyone. Keep us updated! BTW- I haven't had the mood swings or short patience w/ DH recently- but I had my moments during the IVF process- it brought out the worst in me. I am hoping I can control myself better during my pregnancy. As many of you said we are sooooo lucky to have supportive and understanding DH's

Sita-- we did base this on timing with insurance, but I did check with RE and he said it was fine. There is a slight risk of complications having babies so close, but he said I was young and done after this one so he said it was fine. So far, so good.

I am feeling good so far, but very tired. I didn't get sick with Jack and I hope this pregnancy is the same....

Hi all I hope everyone is feeling well and doing great a quick update for us I went in for u/s and labs everything looks great HB 140 and measuring 6wk6d at 10mm so almost on time I think it was my little late implanter  but I was informed I am getting the boot to OB from insurance company and my worry is they will stop my meds before I am suppose to anyone have this problem? So I have homework this week finding the best OB I do not like my current OB as he put off my fertility issues for almost 4 years and kept telling me ohhhh your still young well gonna get going I have to be at work and drop my nephews at grandmas I have had them since Friday night. Take care all and I will be back later to check on everyone.

Hey all! Well the horrible moods swings are getting worse and I think I have worn the DH down. Hopefully this will pass by the second trimester. :-)

We went for our U/S yesterday morning. Everything looks great, HB 133 and they said the baby measures good. They didn't give us an actual measurement, so I will have to ask next time. We go back in 2wks for our 2nd U/S, then we officially graduate to our regular OB. I feel so much better after seeing the little heartbeat. I was so worried b4.

I have had a couple mornings of nausia but it isn't consistent. I was fine monday morning and this morning I was miserable from about 3:30am to 9:00am. Not fun! But I guess it could be worse since I am not actually throwing up. So I am trying to stay positive for now.

talk to you all soon!

Well, if I can "barge in" here... progesterone made me a monster! With my pregnancy 15+ years ago AND with the twins a year and a half ago... It was utterly impossible for me to "be nice"... but when I FINALLY realized what was happening I could talk myself into controlling it at times... My family was very appreciative... good luck...and CONGRATS!!!

Hi All--

This board is quiet. I am home today and it is nap time so I have a minute to catch up. I am still not really feeling pregnant. I am tired, but I usually am. I don't feel sick really and my boobs aren't even a little sensitive. I hate this time because there is nothing to tell you that things are ok. I like when the kicking starts and the hiccups, then you know! I shouldn't complain, I know, but I just hate thinking something might be wrong. Other than tired, I feel normal. ANyone esle???
