Hello everyone

I am sorry to crash your thread but I have a question for debbie67 and anyone else who has time to give me some advice.......but before my question I want to wish you all the very best of luck with your cycle. I will remember you in my prayers,

I am very lucky to have had my dd from a 2nd round of ivf in 2006. Since then I have had 3 failed fets and 2 miscarriages from 2 fresh ivf. I am doing an FET in October ( I have 2 blasts from my successful cycle in 2006) and I would like to get myself as healthy as I can. I feel very unhealthy as the moment after all the fertility treatments.

debbie67 - I was reading one of your posts and you said that you have been taking l'arginine, pycnogenal and other vitamins....could you tell me what vitamins you are taking, what quantities and for how long ........I would really appreciate your advice on this one.

Rosario - :D CONGRATS! How exciting! You're starting us off GREAT!

sabi - I have a few headaches, mood swings and itchiness at the injection site with the Lupron. I haven't hated it yet. I feel like I've been on it forever. It's almost been a month. I never had hot flashes - some people get hot flashes with it - but it doesn't seem to bother me too much.

StayPositive - Good idea! I would love a massage! And shopping always helps too!

Nicksgam - Hang in there with your 2WW!

prayin4BFP - I would have had my ET the exact same day as you if my doctor wasn't off that day. Too bad. Our dates are still really close.

angiehull - I think I'm set for the 30th with no more changing. I could have had my transfer on the 26th but it would have been with a different doctor - one that had already done an ET for me - and I didn't care for him. I'm better off waiting for my RE. He has done all my ER but not one ET. And I think that the ET is the most crucial part!

Debbie67 - Happy Anniversary!

Hi Everyone

I hope that all of you are hanging in there on the IVF roller coaster
I finally got my AF, good timing since my baselines are tomorrow.
I never thought that I'd be happy to see AF but boy does IVF change the way you think

cuppycake Welcome and good luck with your ER onWED.

debbie67 You are so right about your views on age and parenting

belle02 Thanks for the welcome. I hope that your Lupron headaches ease themselves away

Kushka Just hang in there you only need 1 good one :D

michele Thanks for those articles. I have my fingers crossed that your estrogen levels reduce in time

mikeandjess I've never heard of a DR changing dates like that but at least the 30th is coming up soon!

Stay positive You sure did choose a graet screen name - it describes you perfectly - hope all is well with you

nicole How are you doing with your 2ww?

Hi Ladies! I know a lot of you have important things this week (like betas, ERs, U/Ss, etc.) so keep us posted and GOOD LUCK!!!!

Again, Rosario, CONGRATS! It sure looks official!!! 5 years, what a wonderful gift for you now!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

And to Debbie67, Kushka, and CTMichele in particular, THANK YOU for all the thoughts re: age and parenting (and also the articles CTMichele). Your words are helpful and I know you are all correct, and it helps me to feel better to know that I'm not being looked at as "odd" by everyone for having a baby so late in life. It is all about the attitude and the approach you take with raising a child. I, too, had older parents--my mom was 39 when she had me--and I always thought she was a good mom, way better than a lot of my friends' parents. So, I have to find a way to drop this worry and anxiety and stigma about my age and just enjoy and give give give to my child when and if it happens (ok, WHEN it happens......MUST STAY POSITIVE!!!).

I'm still taking bcps...that's it at this point. Another week and a half before I start any "real" meds. I'm really hoping that I don't have nasty side effects from anything. And I forget who asked earlier (sorry!) but the official name of the testing that we're having done at my clinic is Pre-Implantation Genetic Screening. Like I said, I think this is the only clinic in the country doing it right now, but I'm sure if anyone wanted to find out more about it, I could hook you up with someone at my clinic who could talk to you in more detail about it and explain things more.....just let me know.

Happy Monday to everyone and let's keep up the good work on this thread!!!! (i.e., score some more BFP's!!!!)

Hi Ladies

Just a quick note before heading to work. (overtime)

Stay Positive~ your welcome. I too have people asking me why? For some time I couldn't think of what really to tell them only to say we want a child together, but a friend of mine, also was going through IVF at our age, told me that when someone would ask her why, she simply would ask them if they have kids with the one they love:) enough said. LOL! That helped me..

Joyanna~ I have been taking these vitamins since I started this process a year ago.. which include: Pre-natal vitamins, one a day, Flaxseed Oil softgels 1000 mg, 2x's a day, vitamin B-12. Then here recently I started the L-Arginine 500, one a day, and Pycnogenol 50mg one a day.
Need to start back on the Vit D. Haven't picked any up yet. DH takes a one a day for men, and L-Arginine one a day, and L-Caratine one a day.
They are vitamins, so they can't hurt me! I am trying to Boost it up however it may be! LOL!
I hope get well soon.

sorry to rush it out of here! Good luck to the Beta ladies!

Debbie

debbie67 I just read that your DH is taking one a day vitamins
My RE told my DH to not take one a day for men
because of the zinc in them. Instead he suggested
1000mg of vitamin C and 500mg of folic acid daily.
I didnt know that men need folic acid too. I dont remember why zinc and sperm dont mix well but thought you might be interested take care

Sarah and CT Michele, thanks for your encouragement. It really helped. Today was one of those days that reminded me what an emotional rollercoaster this all is. I'm very happy to have found you all.

I've got the next test on Wednesday morning, so perhaps a few more follicles will have decided to grow by then!

Rosario - I'm so happy for you. Huge congratulations!

Happy thoughts and positivity to all.

Hey all

Just a quick post

Rosario - congrats on your fantastic news. I am so so happy for you.

nicole and julie (hope I got names right) - hope you are hanging in there for your 2ww.

AFM - started 2x daily buserelin on 8 June and start stimming with gonal-f tomorrow night. My next lot of bloods is set for 15 June and then probably every other day after that.

I have a baby shower to go to this weekend which I am really looking forward to. I didn't think I would be as my friend is due a week before I would have been due had we not miscarried in January. I really thought it would be hard looking at her and thinking it should have been me but I am just so happy for her - its great to know that time does heal the soul.

Congratulations Rosario! That is such wonderful news.

We had our hospital appointment today and I start injecting bureserelin tomorrow night. I am so excited to be properly starting the rollercoaster again. :P

I have my first scan on the 22nd and then all being well start stims on 24th. I am starting a lower dose than last time and being monitored more closely.

Thinking of you all

Rosario – Big congrats on you OFFICIAL BFP!

Nicole – How are you doing in the 2ww? I’m not going crazy (yet) but find it hard to think about anything else. Are you going to POAS? I think I will on the morning of my beta just so that DH and I can be together. You are lucky that your clinic tests so early. My transfer was 2 days before yours, but beta is 2 days after yours. Arrggh. Well… 6 days left for you and 8 for me. Are you feeling anything? I’m not, but I’m trying not to care either way. Just keep reminding myself that I’m PUPO :D

Ange – I’m glad your appt went well and you get to start your down reg drug tomorrow. Good luck with the FDA audit coming up! (I’m in biopharm and know how those go

Debbie – happy belated anniversary! 11 years… way to go!

Deftonesmo – How is stimming going? It is exciting to keep moving one step closer to that BFP isn’t it? (Any nerve wracking too!)

Kushka – If it is any consolation, it is often better to have less follies because the egg quality tends to be better, and less chance of OHSS. Hopefully your appt tomorrow goes well. By the way, I’m sending your DH a cyber kick-in-the pants for being “sulky.”

Cuppycake – Welcome. A huge good luck to you tomorrow for your ER. I hope it all goes well!

Belle-02 – Let us know how the BW and US come out tomorrow. I hope your headaches aren’t too bad. I had a migraine on and off for 3 weeks during lupron.

Katie – How did your baseline turnout?

Sabi – how are things going with your donor?

Wickedwheel – Your attitude towards the shower and your preggo friend is to be admired. I know I’m a self-centered whiner when it comes to other women being pregnant, even with already having my son.

Michelle – I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you for your E2 test. I hope it is back down!

Sarah and Wishfull – Just a couple more days until your transfers this week! Are you guys excited?

AFM – So, I finally figured out that AFM is “as for me.” I kept wondering who this person was that everyone kept talking to. OK, I’m a huge dork! Anyway, the 2ww isn’t too bad yet. I’m trying not to stress over every little thing that I do or don’t feel. I know it is different for everyone so why try to analyze it all. The PIO shots are getting bad. I’ve got a couple of lumps and am very sore. I may have to switch to just all suppositories (YUCK!). Right now I do both.

Hope you are all doing well!

Good day ladies!

joyanna~ hope you get yourself better and back into this progress to success!
Thank you for your prayers.. all are needed!

Eyci and nicole~ The 2ww is the toughest part, I think, of it all.. Just hang in there!! I am still not sure about the POAS yet.. I done it last time and I wish I wouldn't have.. BUT, with this being my last time, I just might do it after my first Beta.

We are all gonna follow Rosario with the BFP!

Katie99~ Thanks on the info on the one a day for men. I wouldn't have ever thought about zinc better not so good for the little men! (hee hee) Thanks for that info!

wicked ~ I know what you mean about the babyshower. My best friend was pregnant last cycle I went through. I was one to help give it for her. I got the BFN one week before the shower. I was in tears and could not attend her shower without breaking down! I felt awful! I later apologized to her and she was very understanding.

Next week I start the Dex..(dexamethozone) uggg, anyone else think that drug stinks, besides me? It gives me hunger pains, and sleepless nights.. not looking forward to it. It is great when I work night tho.. :)
I can hardly wait , I am having good vibes ladies!
