mikeandjess - Yippee for Estrace!! You get to move on the list :) You do not need to worry about a false positive, since we FETers don't have the trigger shot. I think I may POAS at 13dpo. My beta isn't until 16DPO. I think Nicole has her beta at 13dpo. If you are worried about false negatives... then just try to wait for the beta. Easier said than done, right?

KJGrant - Welcome! We are so glad that you found us!

Michelle - My RE has me on 1 PIO and 3 suppositories a day. If I eliminated the PIO, he said I'd have to do more suppositories and 3 is already yucky enough.

Wishfull - Congrats on a great thaw. Good luck at your transfer!

Sarah - How many are you thawing? I hope all goes well!

mikeandjess- I guess people get false positives with evaporation lines and such even during natural conception, but I think it is rare. Since FET'ers do not take a trigger shot (which is the pregnancy hormone hcg) then you will not get a false positive form that.

I will gladly share the places I have ordered hpt's from, in case anyone is considering and wants to save some money. I remember for my first ivf, I was a late implanter and was taking sometimes 2 hpts a day, and spent so much money running to the pharmacy, so for my second time, I ordered online a head of time and saved a lot.

http://www.webwomb.com/hpt.htm I ordered these ones last time. $18 for 5 tests and they claim to be high sensitivity, measure between 10-15 of hcg. This is the lowest I have found. I have read positive reviews on them, claiming they work, but I do not know from personal experience since I got a bfn last time, but they are regular pee sticks like form the store, and the control line always came up.

http://www.amazon.com/First-Response-Ea ... 634&sr=8-1
These are the First response early result tests that I found on amazon. I ordered the 6 pack last time from seller name Aleegold. It was $24 for a 6 pack with free shipping, which is only a little bit more than what you will pay in the store for a 3 pack. He also offers a 9 pack for even more savings. The title of the product on amazon says the exp date on these are Nov. 2008, but down below is says they are actually exp date of feb 2010. Mine were the 2010 exp date, and they are true, for real first response tests at a much cheaper price.

http://www.amazon.com/Early-Detection-P ... 903&sr=1-5
These are the ones I just ordered for this upcoming time. $10, for 20 strips with free shipping. They are not regular pee sticks, but rather strips you dip in a cup of pee, probably the same ones they use at the clinics and ob office. I have never used them before, but shipping was quick, and reviews say they work fine, I just had to try for the price.

I know not everyone can deal with the ups and down of poas, but I say if you know you are bound to do it, just plan ahead, order online and save some $. Good luck everyone!

mikeandjess and others -

you can try the test strips from

http://www.early-pregnancy-tests.com/3pregtesstri.html

they are dead cheap. i used to stock them up, when i was trying to conceive naturally. i was a POAS addict for a while. i had also ordered ovulation test strips from the site, which used to work perfectly..i cant comment on the test strips, as I havnt got a positive in my life yet! :(

Rosario- Numbers look good to me. Check out my trusty ol' hcg calculator website:

http://babymed.com/tools/pregnancy/hcg/

I plugged in your numbers, and it looks like you are hovering just above the high normal range for a singleton, but that is also the low normal range of twins. My guess is one, but who knows, I have seen stranger things happen on these boards!

You could check out these charts too:

http://www.advancedfertility.com/earlypre.htm

There is really no way to know until u/s. When will u/s be? How many did you transfer?

Hi everyone!
I hope that all is well with you guys. I am having a hard time keeping up with you all. Thank God for this site, but I am the slowest typist ever. I have too go back a few times to remember who is who. LOL

Sarah - GOOD LUCK with the ET on Fri.!

Kasey - Welcome! the waiting seems like its neverending. Let us know
what happens. You will get alot of support here :D

Deftonesmo - It sounds like your clinic is keeping a close watch on you.
my 1st try it seemed like my dosages were changed alot

Sunshine.12 - YAY! it is good to have company. Isnt it a strange feeling to
actually want AF to start?

Carolyn - So excited for you!!! Have a safe flight! GOOD LUCK!!

Julie - Hang in there. It only feels like the 2ww takes forever. SOON!

Mikeandjess - That must be really hard on you. I find it difficult to be near
babies & preggers too. Its definitely something you have
to go through to understand. But we'll get there too, it
just takes us a little longer.

Michele - I hate driving in the rain too. I flipped my car driving in
heavy rain in '03. I walked away without a scratch, but
boy, did it change how I drive since then. I live near to
Woodbury Commons about an hr north of NYC. My RE is
in Allentown PA. Its far but I trust him completely. Our ins.
covers no part of IVF so I needed a doc who was "in the
network" to do tubal ligation / removal due to hydros.
thats how I ended up with an RE 2 hrs away. Let us know
how tomorrow goes for you. My fingers are crossed that
you are'nt delayed. take care

AFM - I start stimming tomorrow! YAY! 600mg of bravelle and off we go!
Hugs & Positivity to all!
DOR/ hydro tubes removed

EYCI - How do you tell what day you are DPO when you are doing an FET? I was thinking about POAS 3 days after my ET (with blasts). Do you think that is too soon?

Michele & sunshine.12 - Thanks for the info! I am going to figure out which sticks I want and I'm going to order them when I get home. My DH will be mad - he doesn't think I should POAS because I got a false positive with my FET last time. But I have a better feeling about this time.

katie99 - Thanks for the positive thinking!

mikeandjess- I think dpo is calculated the same way in an FET as in a fresh cycle. So if your embies were frozen on day 3, then they are 3dpo. I wonder how you got a false positive with an FET? I guess just a fluke, the same way you can get one with conceiving naturally. I think for the entire time I have posted on these boards, 8dpo is the absolute earliest I have ever seen a real positive, but it is rare. I have seen early positives at 9 and 10 dpo, but I think the average is around 11 or 12 dpo. So you could try early, but don't get discouraged. With my first ivf, I was a late implanter, and did not see a very very faint line until the afternoon of 13dpo...so never lose hope.

Ladies - I'd like to get your opinion on when to start my next IVF. The clinic said I could call and start the new cycle with my next period, which will probably be tomorrow, if I had to guess.

This roughly puts my schedule at:

Day 1, June 12
June 20 – 29 antibiotics
June 29 Lupron starts
July 9th suppression check
July 14th start FSH
July 16 and 18 critical E2 USG
July 22 retrieval Progesterone starts
July 27 transfer

The main problem with this is that we have the stepdaughters (Ages 17 and 14) for three whole entire painful weeks in July. DH wants us to take long weekends every weekend to do stuff with them. The four of us can barely get along for more than a couple days together, so I already know the atmosphere around the house will not be the most pleasant the whole time. I know the 17 year old will go home part of the time but he's talking about keeping the 14 year old for the whole three weeks, even though we have to work part of that time and letting her stay at the house with friends or go to her grandparents.

I'm kind of thinking that maybe this isn't the best time to be going through lupron headaches with crabby teenagers that aren't mine and all of that, but at the same time I really hate waiting another month.

Then again, what's another month? All I do is wait anyway. *sigh*

Any advice?
Me - 30, Perfect
DH - 47, Failed VR 2007, 3 kids

1st IVF- May 09 - BFP - Chemical :(
2 Frosties Remaining
2nd IVF- Oct 09 - BFP! :) Beta #s - 567, 1302, 3016

Michele - I just posted something under the question LoveBug posted for Ghost and I think you replied to it too. Its the topic about how soon to have sex after IVF. If you get time read that - I think this is my reason for a false-positive FET. But who knows.

Jess - Blasts are usually considered to be a 5 day transfer, or 5dpo. I think you'll want to wait until at least 10dpo. I'm not sure I've seen positives earlier than that but I'm sure it happens.

AFM - All of this POAS talk has got me all riled up. I went out at lunch and bought a box. I'm going to test on Sunday (13dpo). If it is negative, then I'll retest the morning of my beta (Wednesday - 17dpo) and hope for the best.

CT_Michele I transferred 3 blast and 1 of them was hatching... I also think there is one in there. My U/S won't be until I am 7 wks which will be the week of the 28th. I have a long way to go. Next beta will be next Monday.

Hi Ladies, We are a busy lot aren't we. So much going on...

Nicole, I really hope your embies are happy and growing nicely.

Sarah, well done for surviving another term at school, and good good luck for your transfer on Friday. And deffo go for the pedicure!

KJGrant, I'm so glad you found this board. This is my first IVF cycle too and I've found these ladies amazing, offering precious support and advice.

CT_Michele, good luck for tomorrow. I really hope that you aren't delayed any more. And thanks so much for the list that you do. It's really great - thank you for taking the time.

Wishfull, good luck for tomorrow too. Sending super+ive thoughts and vibes.

Jess, I totally understand about the babyshower - I have SO many friends who TTC for about 2 minutes and are now pregnant! I think you should do whatever feels right. If you don't want to be there then don't be. We all need be a bit kind to ourselves sometimes, and now is one of those times!

Katie99, good luck with the stimming - I hope those follies grow for you!

Which leads me to me. I have 9 follicles that are around 14 (mm's?). On Wednesday I had 5 of a decent size and 4 smaller ones, so I guess the smaller ones have now caught up. I'm a bit disappointed 'cos I thought I'd have much more. Not sure why I thought that - I guess I just read about people with so many more. Anyway, some of you have made good points about only needing one egg, and my RE doesn't think it's disasterous, so I'm trying not to compare with others and to keep positive. I have another test on Friday and it looks like I'll have ER on Sunday. Thanks for listening.

Love to all. X
