I must start to get my bum into gear and start looking properly at baby things i have a quick look and still think its too early. You all sound so focused.
Lisa(loonpants) i was at the baby show in glasgow and if your looking for grobags then that is the place to go they had them in all sizes and colours even organic ones (what ever that means).

No more please you will set me off again!!! Great tips girls thanks from all. I have just got back from my parents and yet more stuff - loads of clothes but not all practical for the first few things - thanks Shell - think loads of baby vests and suits with front poppers are the ticket and the talc - something I never knew existed!
Helen G - you do make me smile - you got there in the end with the sex - people have been volunteering your two as potential suitors!!
Lisa - not more web sites - I spend enough time as it is. Think might need some more grobags - great invention aren't they?
Lisa get shopping from that settee
Helen get going you have some catching up to do. My brother and sister in law arrived on friday with truck loads of stuff - winnie the pooh short sleeved vest suits from mcare and the humphrey ones - 7 in each I think - 2 pairs of Winnie booties, one Humphrey elephant and one Lottie elephant, and some socks - they are off for another shop soon as my brother did not get to go along and is sulking - fine by me!
Thought I felt one of mine kick today but not sure if wind - certainly woke me up this morning - 19 wks and 3 days - maybe too early?
Love to all

ttc 9 years. 38 yrs old, dh 8 hrs younger!First IVF in Aug 2002 and had ectopic.2nd IVF neg.3rd FET and negative.4th FET and positive but sadly lost our little boy at 20 weeks.5th FET and Alice Isobel and Emily Charlotte born 5th Aug 2004!
I thought i felt he/she move on Saturday i was lying on the couch (nothing unusual there) and it felt like wind moving about it happened quite a few times, i kept rubbing my stomach and saying is that you. I was crying as well.
My mother in law has bought the baby its first book, a christmas one its very sweet but she said three times 'i'm not practical and buy it sleepsuits i bought it a book' my mum was there and she said on the way home that she hopes my MIL doesn't think she bought all those things to make her feel bad, i just said thats her problem and after such a nice lunch. She says baby clothes are so expensive so i take it we are not going to get any from her then. She is so nice and sweet and then she just says stuff that spoils it.
Sorry gone on abit again about her. I don't even like to bring the subject up about being pg in front of her because she eithers just ignores the subject or says something to upset me. She has not even mentioned my bump. I hope she remembers my scan on Friday or this could be the last straw.

She really is a nightmare isn't she??!!!Poor you - I think you are doing very well with her actually and seem to find the balance - sod her if she does forget your scan - I am sure she won't and I know you will be upset but all the important people have rememebered. Books are good but clothes are so sweet - your mum sounds lovely.
Hope it was the start of kicks for you - today I feel as if I have been on a roundabout all morning - very dizzy and faint - have tried to drink even more and up the food content especially choccie not Mcflurry's but to no avail so far - guess I overdid it at the weekend!
Take care

Well like auntie Jules I'm back to give you some of my best buys...
Definately grobags if you order them online from grobag you get a discount for 2 or more we got three in each size and it tends to be enough for twins.
Car seats (try them fro size at mothercare) then order online at Kiddicare...again the more you buy the better the discount.
Sleepsuits and a small fleece blanket each...very handy!!
We did buy Moses baskets but ours were so tiny the lasted for months and were easy for us.
two playgyms and if you have twins I swear by our graco swing...placates one while the other gets fed etc....all my friend have got them too so major reccommendation though you can always pick them up cheap secondhand.
We never used our bottle warmer so it was a waste...but really handy to have the AVent breastpump in the cooling bag. We used it so much even after I stopped expressing for them.
You will get loads of newborn stuff so ask folk for 3-6 and 6-9 mnth clothes...they look huge to start with but it goes so quickly and gives you something to look forward too.....and to be honest there were a couple of outfits my two never even wore before they were too small!!!
Baby wipes and a dispenser, otherwise major fiddly situation.
Stock up on every nappy promotion, we were prepared for a small nuclear war...but went through them bl**dy fast!!
We bought a chest of drawers from Argos with the removable changing table bit and then bought really funky handles...and everyone thinks we spent a fortune on nursery furniture but will last them for ages (I feel a job in changing rooms could beckon!!)
Finally, go mad and buy the fun impractical stuff, toys, and little extra's it is the fun bit...and don't forget their baby boxes...I love putting new things in their one's...oh god I am off reminising...agggghhhhhhh
It is so lovely to hear from you - bet you can't believe how old the twins are now - 22 months isn't it? Must seem the time has flown!!!
Thanks for all the tips - I seem to be well stocked already - when are you starting that job on changing rooms?
Last time I heard from you you were putting a camera up someone's kilt!!!
The tips are great - thought I would try getting a graco swing jobbie off ebay as they are always on there and I am not proud especially with the expense of twins. I hve just taken delivery of a nice (used only twice and still in original packing) avent rucksack - fab too it is - at least I am pleased with it and DH reckons he won't look like a girls blouse.
I am lucky I live only 45 mins away from Kiddicare so off there if all ok on the 20/21wk scan next week.
Take care and keep in touch
Love
