Yay! My ER is on Wednesday! My RE wasn't sure if I needed one more day to stim, but I guess my estrogen level was good enough, so we're on for Wednesday! Trigger shot is at 8:30 sharp tonight(no pun intended) . . .

Question: What's the difference between a 3 day and a 5 day ET?

Wow so much activity and so much great news !!!

Congrats to all the recent BFPs. Awesome start for our board. Well done you lot.

kushka - ++++ thoughts that your two are doing well.

kayce - welcome. I am a fellow low responder. Very similar story to yours. We had our daughter with IVF#1. This is our 4th IVF as well. We got pregnant with our last IVF but miscarried at 11.5 weeks. Best of luck with your journey.

Big hi to everyone else.

Geese Louise it has been a busy day. 7:30 am blood test, 8am work, which was crazy busy. Who can get anything done with all the meetings? Stop by the market on the way home, I hate shopping. Feed the dog and cats, made dinner, walked the dog, and now it is me time.

Deftonesmo---Yeah your ER on Wednesday, how my follies do you have?

Katie---your day definitely topped mine. I can’t believe the mix up at the lab, that’s scary. My lab makes us check all the labels before they draw blood. I bet you wanted to kill your DH, what a time to lose his wallet. Your right it is all worth it. Sending you lots of patience dust.

KayCe---Welcome, glad you joined us, there are a bunch of great ladies and lots of support on this board. Hope AF comes soon.

Michele---Happy to hear your meds are back on schedule. You are so right about POAS. The first test I took was to see it the trigger was gone, got a negative. Even though I knew it was too early to get a positive, it was still a huge disappointment. I didn’t have the urge to test again. Wanted to test before my beta because I didn’t want the shocked of a negative. However when I got the positive it was the best thing ever. I am not a strong as you, there is no way I could have tested every day, my spirit could not have handled it.

Kushka---Sending you tons of sticky baby dust, GL with ET on Wednesday. I know exactly how you feel, when I saw the pictures of my little embies I felt protective too. Those are my little babies in the dish, maybe it is maternal or it could be all the hormones we are on.

Debbie---I total relate to your post LOL. Sometimes I feel like all a do it wonder around and accomplish nothing.

Angeinhull---My DH didn’t want me to POAS either, but I could help myself. He was happy when I found out it was positive, and to finally see me in good spirits. You have a good boss, now you won’t have to stress about work.

Julie---Can’t wait to see your beta tomorrow, and both of us can move on the list.

Sabi---GL with you ET on Wednesday, Sending you lots of sticky vibes!!!!

Sarah---I started POAS 10dpo, I too only had two tests. Once I saw the faint positive line I was hooked I went out a bought enough to take a test every day before my beta. If you plan on only taking two tests then I recommend Monday and Tuesday.

Mikeandjess---it is really hard attending baby showers, and I have had to attend lots (4 in May alone). My DH is like yours. He always says peoples keep on flaunting their babies in front of him; I keep reminding him no one knows our situation. You too will have a shower.

sunshine.12---How are the stims going? GL with your u/s on Wednesday, grow follies grow.

Chris---It is understandable to stay away from the boards, they are easy to get caught up in. Visit us when you need to, we will be here. Rest up and here to a stress less cycle.

Carolyn---How are you doing with 2ww. Sending you lots of sticky baby dust.

belle-02---Hope your ER went well, how are you feeling. Rest up the big day is soon.

PMA,
Nicole

If I'm 4dp3dt, how many days post ovulation am I??? That all gets so crazy for me. My little dude woke up at 4 am this morning. That is WAY too early. It's going to make for a long day! He doesn't like his "big boy bed"!!!

here is quick one from me.

so i was having this bad sore and crampy feeling in abdomen and couldnt sleep well at all, yesterday night and went to see my RE today morning. So she did my U/S which was scheduled for tomorrow. she could find 10 follicles which are all small right now and told that we are on the right track.

Am I the only one who feel all crampy, so early? She said its due to my endo, and one of my ovaries is stuck to the back of my uterus. If I am feeling so uncomfortable this early(only 4th day of my injections), I cant imagine how worse it will get towards ER. :(

I will do personals a little later.

take care all of u..

Hey everyone;
Thanks for the good thoughts for my DH. He came out of the hospital friday and is doing ok. We go back to the surgeon today to check his incision. He hasnt been resting as much as he should and it has been causing some friction between us. Actually to the point of me sitting in my car at a stop light wondering why i gave him my phone number 12 years ago. LOL! Its fine though...we are ok.
So much has been going on here while I was dealing with him I dont feel like I will ever catch up so I want to say I have been thinking of you all and for all you in the 2ww or BFP...WOOOHOOOO!!!
I was at RE yesterday and my lining is doing nicely so my FET is still on track for the 26th. The days are surely dragging for me now. It seems so far away.
Well I am off and will check in again to do personals.

sunshine- I do hope you start to feel better. I didn't get uncomfortable with stims until close to the end. I can only imagine how crummy you feel, especially still having a bunch of days to go...I hope it doesn't get worse for you.

sbr- ER counts as ovulation day, so you are 7dpo. I am not looking forward to the days when Ella is getting up super early. She is a late sleeper, she usually gets up between 8 and 9, on rare occasions earlier, but sometimes even later. One day last week I had to wake her at 11!

nicole- congrats on your official bfp! It is so nice to start off our thread with 2 positives...let's keep it going everyone!

deft- yay for ER on wednesday. 3 day vs 5 day transfers...there have been a lot of discussion on this topic. My clinic does mostly 3 days, he says he only lets them go to 5 day only for selection if you have a lot of embryos. I have seen a ton of success both ways, so i think it really depends on your clinic.

katie- i would have flipped out on dh and the clinic...i don't handle irresponsibility or disorganization very well, especially when they effect my day or mood.

julie- good luck today!

wow, we have a lot happening tomorrow here...an ER, an ET and a beta...good luck to all! Can't wait to hear everyone's news.

Sunshine- I am an endo girl as well. I started feeling crampy on Follistim about day 3. Continued the whole time. Sorry. It didn't really get bad until last two days before ER. You should have seen me slumped over on shopping cart at grocery store! I swear a 95 year old passed me I was so slow. My RE explained that my ovaries are 'glued' down and as they progress to bigger and bigger sizes, it just pulls. I also had problems with 'regularity' as we got closer to the ER, which made matters even more uncomfortable.

I will tell you that I am now 24 hours past ER and feel 110% better. I had very little cramping following ER and did not have to take any pain meds. They did only get 6 eggs though, and some women who get more removed report more cramping. I drank a lot of water with electrolytes following ER, and was in the bathroom every 20 minutes last night. My bloating is way down, and today I feel awesome. Cant wait to get call on how many of the eggs fertilized! Hang in there, it will all get better!!

Will it ever get here?

Post by marymeganB »

Hi ladies! It's less than 3 weeks until I officially start my meds and time could not be moving any slower. It's all I can think about! Not to mention, I am so afraid and nervous this time around. I'm afraid that it won't work at all or that it will work, but I'll miscarry again. I really don't think I have the strength to go through that again. I'm just a ball of nerves and I am having a really hard time mustering up positive thoughts and energy. DH tries to make me feel better, but nothing he says helps. ARRRGGGHHH!!! I just wish I could feel as up beat, positive, and optimistic as I was the first time around, but I just can't do it and I'm afraid my attitude is going to affect the results. What can I do?

Sarah – I’ve had some cramping the last few days but that didn’t start until 9 days after transfer. My boobs started our sore, but after a week of the progesterone that went away. They are a little tender now at night time, but nothing like the first week. Other than that, no strong signs or symptoms (other than those HPTs!). Did you decide yet about testing?

Angeinhull – What a wonderful DH! Hopefully you’ll have 9 months of his pampering. I’m glad things are working out with your boss and the audit too.

Debbie67 – Your post cracked me up! That is TOTALLY how I am. And the worst part is that I actually recognize that I’m doing it and still can’t help myself.

KayCe – A huge welcome. I’m so glad you decided to join our thread. We are here for you!

Katie99 – ARRGGGHHH! I feel so bad for all you are going through. We all have days like that and they sure do SUCK! Hopefully you are getting all of the bumps in the road out of the way and the rest will be smooth sailing!

Deftonesmo – Good luck tomorrow. A 3 day transfer means the embies are usually around 8 cells. A 5 day transfer means they have grown for two more days and are usually at the blastocyst stage (ready to hatch an implant right after transfer). The days are counted from when you ovulate, or in the case of IVF, when you had your egg retrieval. Like Michelle said, there is great success with each.

Nicole – Yippee for a great beta!!! You are PREGNANT! Will you test again on Wednesday? My clinic always does a 2nd draw, two days later.

Sunshine.12 – Sorry to hear you are feeling uncomfortable. I forget, how much longer do you have? 10 follies sound great!

Prayin4bfp – Glad to hear your DH is doing better. Men… they try to be so tough sometimes. The 26th will be here before you know it. Hang in there!

Michelle – I am so jealous of Ella’s sleeping. Hendricks is up most days before 7. The latest he ever sleeps is 8 and that’s only in winter when it is still dark outside. Some days he starts chirping with the birds around 5:45am.

Daisy106 – Congrats on your ER. Hope you get a great fert report!

Marymegan – Your feelings are TOTALLY normal. We all feel that way at some point. Try to keep busy to keep yourself from thinking about things. Don’t worry about feeling down. It is a normal reaction and of course you are allowed to feel that way after all you’ve been through. Your strength and positive energy will shine through when you need it. In the mean time, you have us to think positively for you!

For all of you with retrievals and transfers coming up... A HUGE GOOD LUCK TO YOU! You are in my prayers!

AFM – Beta is in … 477! I retest on Thursday to make sure it is increasing properly! I am 16dpo right now. Michelle, please move me on the list when you can! Thanks!
