Julie- even though we already had a pretty good idea it was positive...congrats on a strong, official beta!

daisy- I noticed you were not on our list, I added you...I am glad you are feeling better today.

marymeg- hang in there, I know how horrible the waiting is...trust me...if anyone knows how much waiting sucks, it is me. Just try to stay occupied. And I totally understand how hard it is to stay optimistic. My first ivf was a success, so going into my second one, I had no reason to be negative at all, I thought for sure it would work since RE knew what worked for me the first time and I have a lot in my favor (age, male factor), but I found out the hard way I am not immune to the BFN. Going into this FET, I find it hard to stay positive...I find myself worrying all the time about another BFN and how will I ever afford another try if that happens again, but I just try to remind myself that negative thoughts=stress and stress=possible BFN, I truly feel like stress may have caused my last bfn...so try to put those thoughts way in the back of your mind.

Ok all, I have a busy week. We are in the middle of building a wooden swing set for Ella, my mom got her one as an early b-day gift, and man are those things hard to put together, and we are also headed to upstate new york this weekend for my future SIL bridal shower. I have traveled there once before with Ella, but she was only a month and a half old, so she didn't require much and was a good traveler, this time around is much different, A LOT of packing and planning for this one.

angiehull - my DH isn't too happy about me POAS either - because we had a false positive before. But I'm being optimistic. Last time I didn't POAS at all and when I got my beta back and it was 1, I was devistated. So, I'd rather POAS and be prepared.

KayCe - welcome! This will be my 4th try too! I've had 2 IVF's and 1 FET. This will be my 2nd FET. Good Luck to you!

Rosario - I don't think most people have symptoms this early. Don't worry yourself too much girl. You are doing great!

katie99 - That is crazy that your office screwed up your lab work. I've never had that happen before. Hope you have a better day today!

deftonesmo - Good Luck Wednesday!

nicksgam - Thank you for the positive thoughts!!

Daisy 106 - Glad to hear your ER went well!

marymeganB - try not to stress too much. Take everything one day at a time. Don't worry about the stuff that hasn't happened yet. I know it's hard to say that because I do it too. But I'm learning to be more positive. My RE told me that I only had a 25% chance of this working for me and at first I was devistated but now I have a different look on things. This is going to happen for me - it has to.

AFM - I just had the office call me in another vial of Lupron. Yes I have been on it that long that I am running out. I am still being positive about the whole situation though - 2 more weeks until my ET! I am so excited!

Hugs and Prayers to everyone!
Keep those BFP's going!

Well I came back after a break feeling much better and less crampy and saw the updated list of Michelle and it feels very exciting to see all the new BFPs that are getting added, and people moving up in their schedules..its very motivating to just look at that list itself with lot of activities..

mikeandjess - how did the family picnic go? glad that 1 more baby shower is also over for you and i hope you will not have to attend anything before your BFP in this cycle! few of my long distance friends, have mailed in to share the news of their pregnancy..i replied back to them on mail, but is holding back the phone calls, till i know the result fo this cycle..dnt want to stress myself now.

Michelle - Glad that missing the shot didnt affect anything.

katie - thats some day that you had there!im sure its out of your system now and your day is going well today!

sabi - good luck for your transfer tomorrow!! sendng lots of sticky dust your way...

kushka - 2 good embies are very good number to go and I am sure that you will get your BFP in this cycle itself, so that you will not need anything to freeze for later!

Sarah - Hang in there on your 2ww..hold your urge to POAS till monday..lot of patience dust for you...

angeinhull - thats a great boss you have got there!

Debbie67 - had a good laugh!

KayCe- welcome! im sure you will be active in no time and have a good time here..

deftonesmo - good luck on your ER!!

Daisy106 - cant tell how happy and relieved I was to read your post! so my crampy days are not there for long! and good luck with your ET on 18th!! let the embies grow!!

marymeganB - i can understand your frustration! before starting stims, i was just staring at the clock all the time, just hoping that it will just move a little faster..and all the negative thoughts that you are having now, will go once you start the meds..sending lot of positive thoughts your way..

Thank you all for your warm welcoming!! I feel so ready to get this started again!!! Congratulations on all the BFPs!!! Great news!!!

Rosario triplets!!! WOW congratulation!!! Who is your doctor at RSC?? This is my third cycle with them, I see Dr. Pang. I think their staff is great, I really trust their criteria, and of course I'm more than grateful to them since they gave me my little boy!!! Good luck!!!

Wicked-I can't believe how close our stories are. How far along are you on this cycle?? Which protocol are you using?Mine is antagonist with estrogen patches, I haven;t hear of anyone using the same as me. I hope this time we can give our little ones a sibling!! Best luck to you!!!

mikeandjess- 4th IVF for you too?? Wow we are pros!! The funny thing is that every time it seems to be the first. I forget pretty fast how my previous cycles were, thanks God this forum keeps me informed!!! Two more weeks you are almost there, I haven't started my meds yet!!!

CT_Michele- I'm sure Ella is going to enjoy her swing!! I know, those things are so hard to put together but it's worth it, I'm sure it's going to be up for ever!!! I am traveling too this weekend!! We go to NYC. My son is really good in the car, but the older they get the trickier it is to travel with them... Good luck keeping her entertained!!!

Marymegan- I think that pretty much everyone on this board can relate to you. We all have our ups and downs but you have to take a deep breath and think that you can only do so much. After my second try I started acupuncture since I blamed my BFN to stress!!! Last cycle was so perfect, I was way more relaxed and even happy, I was super confident it was a BFP, but no here I am, nothing is certain and it can go either way, but something I learned is that no matter what the cycle was so much better when I didn't stress that much!!! So just try to keep yourself busy, plan your days ahead so this whole IVF thing is not the only thing in your mind. Let your husband pamper you, watch movies at night or go out. I'm sure that he wants you to be happy, and it's really important that you stay positive, stress is not going to help. Don't worry you will survive, we all have. Good luck!!

Big hugs and a lot of baby dust to everyone!!! Keep the good news going!!!

Kushka and Deftonesmo- How did it go toady?? You should both be PUPO right now!!!

AFM- Retrieved 6, only had 2 fertilize. Pretty disappointed. We were really hoping to tranfer 3. We really want twins. It can still happen, but the odds continue to not work in our favor. We are 100% cash pay, so this will probably be our only shot. We were hoping to have a few to freeze for possible future, but we will just concentrate on the two we have growing. A singleton would be awesome as well and would be totally spoiled!!

Transfer is set for Thursday at noon. Acupuncturist is standing by ready to go. Since this is my first time, can anyone tell me if there is a chance by the time Thursday comes that we could have less embies? What are the chances that they won't make it to a 3dt?

Hi everyone-

Wow you guys I have had to keep a notepad handy when I read all these posts trying to keep everybody straight. I have to say I find myself wondering whats going on with who at different times of the day. Its hard to believe that you can get so attached to people you've never even met.
I went for u/s & yet more b/w today ( nurse showed me the vial label ) heh heh I dont think that we'll have that problem again. So far only 1 measurable follie and a bunch of smaller ones. Its only day 6 of stims though, plus they added Ganerelix 250mcg & 150 of Menopur. We are getting there.....

sabi - congrats on 12 fertilized!! GL with ET tomorrow! lots of Stickydust!!!

Kushka - your sis in law sounds just awful! my estimated ER is 6/23 GOOD LUCK with your ET tomorrow!! wishing you tons of sticky dust!!

Sarah - How is the 2ww going for you? I hope quickly. wishing you loads of patience til wed.!!

nicole - CONGRATULATIONS!!! So happy for you !! Good luck with 2nd beta tomorrow!

Sunshine - YAY 10 follies! Grow little guys!! I am in the same boat as you - stimming just makes you feel bloated, tender, slooower. RE said to sip water all day long that it helps & of course loose clothing. thanks for the patience dust !

carolyn - Prague - that sounds awesome - how goes the 2ww?

Mikeandjess - It is exciting! I think the 4th times is the charm for you guys! it WILL happen!

Julie - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! 477 is a great beta!! So very happy to hear that !!!

Chris - did you get your meds yet? you are smart to not let this take over (like I've been,LOL)

Debbie67 - What joke? that a typical day for me - HA HA I'm so glad you found that it was a riot!! how are you doing?

Kayce - Welcome!!! I will send you AF dust!! a busy thread is good it keeps you on your toes, just wish I didnt type with 2 fingers

Angieinhull - YAY!! DH helps with housework! Can he teach mine?

Deftonesmo - GOOD LUCK with ER tomorrow!! how many follies??

Prayin4bfp - Glad to hear that DH is doing ok. Men, they never listen half of the time.
the 26th is just around the corner!!

daisy106 - thanks for the sympathy, it was frustrating. But it really is better if my DH stays out of the kitchen. Really. Did you hear how many fertilized yet? let us know when you hear

Marymeganb - I understand how you feel. There are so many conflicting emotions involved with this. Its normal to feel torn over it. We are all here for you. You have loads of support. Wishing you lots of PMA!!!!

Michele - I didnt flip out on either but I am the same way. I'm super organized- DH not even close. What can you do? Ella was being a lazybones and sleeping til 11? I would love one just like her. I hope you have a nice visit and a safe trip :D

So good to meet girls going through the same thing at the same time!

I'm a 36 year old scottish girl desperate to be a mum, been married for nearly 4 years and been trying for the same amount of time. I am having my treatment in Edinburgh and they have put me on the pill for 3 weeks before starting Buserelin injections (ovarian suppression drug) before combined gonadotrophin injections for the last 10-14 days. Hopefully I will be starting the Buserelin in 2 weeks. I want to give all you girls out there all my love and support. It's good to share our feelings.

I have a feeling I am going to go away this weekend and when I come back there will be atleast 6 pages of posts to go through! You are busy ladies! I will have to check from my brothers computer.

Jlo- welcome to the boards. You will love it here, so much support and knowlegdeable ladies to share information

carolyn- sorry to hear your flight was cancelled, do get some rest...we want those embies to snuggle right in!

marymeg- Are you from down south? I ask because of the y'all...I think it's so cute when people say y'all...you don't hear it ever up in Connecticut.

katie- I bet more follies will pop up for next time. When do you go again? Hopefully you will get a break from the driving at some point. I am only organized when it comes to projects or tasks really, I guess bills too. My pet peeve is having to do things twice because it was done wrong the first time. Such a waste of my time, so I try to organize first. It is killing me right now to be inside, while my husband has my brother and 2 friends working on the swing set. The past 2 days dh and I have done it by ourselves, but today we have help, but I am sure they are doing some things wrong, but I just have to let it go and be happy that it will probably be done tonight, no matter how they do it!

daisy- I am sorry you didn't get more embies, but twins are still possible, and 2 is still good. I am also sorry to hear you are cash pay. This is my first cycle cash, my last 2 were covered and I am so thankful for that b/c if I didn't have it, I probably wouldn't have my DD today. As far as your embies, I think anything can happen by thursday, but we will be hoping for the best for you.

Kayce- see....you caught right up with everyone! Have fun in NYC...I am guessing you are driving? When I go to the city, I usually take the train since we are on the train line, I hate the city traffic.

mikeandjess- I just got my refill of lupron in the mail yesterday, so I am right there with you...I feel like I have been on lupron forever and I still have over a month of it to go, and that is if my e2 levels come down. Ugh.

Ok, just want to try and keep up with everyone....you ladies are so quick. Talk to you all soon!

Hello all,
Wickedwheel-are you still stimming? Have you started your blood tests yet?

EYCI-Congratulations on your BFP!! Whooopeee!!

Welcome KJGrant. I wish I could answer some of your questions about ovulation and progesterone levels. Maybe post the question in a new thread to Ghost, or get a second opinion if you really question what your RE is saying and doing.

CT_Michele-thanks for posting the links to the pregnancy tests, I ordered the ones from Amazon and they came super quick. I am so sorry you keep getting delayed, your attitude is great though, it’s happening for a reason I’m sure.

Rosario-congratulations on your rising beta numbers!!

Katie99-I hope your stimming is going well. Your recent mislabeled bw fiasco sounds frustrating, vent away!

Deftonesmo-hooray on your 10 follies, good luck with ER tomorrow!

Cupppycake-I’m glad they were able to find some sperm to work with, what a relief.

Statsgoddess-I think your decision to wait is a good one.

Wishfull27-I’ll be joining you in my 4th 2ww tomorrow. Congratulations on being PUPO.

Sabi-Congratulations on your on your 12 embryos, that’s a great number. Good luck with ET.

Welcome Ck121. My follistim dosage was 225, every clinic is different and they may adjust it up or down as you progress.

Prayin4BFP-I’m glad your DH is okay, nothing like a little more stress!!

To_Have_Fun08-It sounds like you’re moving forward, good luck with your consultation tomorrow.

Sunshine.12-Hang in there with your cramping, just keep communicating with your RE.

Kushka-I know it’s hard, and I have a really hard time with this too, but just try to focus on this cycle. I think even just telling yourself this repeatedly helps you stayed focused and keeps your PMA energy on this cycle. It will work!! I’m doing my transfer tomorrow too so we can hang out in the dread 2ww together!

Angieinhull-it sounds like everything is falling into place for your upcoming cycle, hooray!

Welcome kayCe.

Nicksgam-Congratulations on your BFP!! Way to keep the BFP streak going!!

Daisy106-Hang in there, 2 is better than none. Good luck with your ET on Thursday. I don’t have an answer for your question about your embies survival to Thursday. Just try to keep your PMA up.

Welcome JLo.

As for myself, my ER went well yesterday. Last year when we did our fresh cycle DH had some issues with his sperm sample and had to go back in to do a second one on the day of our ER. It was super stressful because we never anticipated it and they ended up using both fresh samples and all of his frozen samples last year.

This year he had banked 2 frozen samples and our RE wanted DH to do 2 samples on the day of ER. So he was all set to do 2 but they called him after the first sample and said the motility and count were good and that there was no need to do a second one. So that was really, really good news.

We got the fertilization report back today. They retrieved 13 and of these, they tried to fertilize 12 of them. Of the twelve, 7 fertilized properly so they froze 5 and kept out 2 for my transfer tomorrow. I confess that I was disappointed with this at first because it was a lot lower than the 11 that were fertilized last year, but I’ve been on these boards long enough to know to be grateful because everything worked, some of them fertilized and at least we had some to freeze. Plus, as my DH said, last year we got a lot but didn’t get a BFP out of any of them.

My ET is tomorrow, we report to the hospital at 8:30am. Now if I can just manage not to drink too many fluids so I’m not in agony with a full bladder…that’s the thing I dread the most about ET. Ick.

Take care all.

Hi all,

You ladies are just amazing at posting and keeping track of things! I've been away for a few days and feel totally overwhelmed trying to get caught up here!

It seems like there have been all BFP's so far for ladies at that stage---right? Wow, that is very amazing and bodes very well for all of the positive energy flowing among these pages! And also, it seems like so many people are suddenly facing their ERs and/or ETs......my thoughts are with everyone and I am wishing success for each of you!

I had an appointment yesterday at my clinic and got the crash course of giving injections, as mine start in 3 days. Last night was my last bcp, so I am inching closer to stims. We also had a genetic counseling session, given the chromosomal testing that we will do following the ER. It was very interesting but there was a bit of bad news....based on how long it takes to get results, and what all has to be done to prep my body for ET, it looks like the transfer won't be until the first few weeks of September! UGH!!! I thought it would be mid-August but found out that too many factors would have to come together in order for that to work. I am SO bummed and feel like I have been as patient as I can. It's definitely worth doing the testing but I wish it didn't take so friggin' long to get results.

So, what can I do but just be patient and be grateful that I am getting ready to start the journey toward my ER. The ER is really only 2 weeks away, so at least I'll have some news after the retrieval (hopefully positive) to wet my whistle for awhile. So, I won't get to post about my beta #s for almost another 3 months. By then most of you gals will likely have moved on! But at least I'll keep you posted on how things go in the next 2 weeks when I at least get a little IVF action! (LOL)

I go for my baseline U/S and b/w tomorrow....will post after that. Until then, everyone be healthy and happy and positive and thankful that we are all getting a shot at pregnancy, no matter how long it takes!

Daisy106- Try not to worry about it. Anything can happen at this point, IVF is a crazy roller coaster. On my first two IVFs we had two embryos but on transfer day we ended up with one. The embryos can stop growing but it means they were not great quality, so you are always better off with the ones they put back inside. I did get pregnant with just one embie!!! Hopefully you'll have 2 great embryos and I'll keep my fingers crossed for twins!! I know how upsetting it can be not to have any frosties left and to pay out of pocket, it adds more pressure to the 2WW!!! Just relax and take things one day at a time.
