Sabi, 12!!! That's amazing!!! 12 all for you!!! You are on your way!!!
Carolyn, how are you? Keep the faith girl.
Hi everyone, hope you are all enjoying the weekend. It started out really sunny here and looks cloudy now. Did I ever tell you that my DH is a drummer? Well, now that it's just about summer, he has lots of outdoor gigs with his band. We are heading over to the beach in a little while for one of his gigs. It's really nice, about five minutes from my house. they serve food and alcohol and people are always in a festive mood. Hope the weather holds out.
Enjoy the weekend girls, I'll be checking in.
XOXO
Got my fingers crossed and sending lots of baby dust to you, carolyn!! Keep up the PMA and rest, rest, rest and keep drinking lots of fluids.
sabi - fantastic news!! 12 fertilized is wonderful! I am sure you and DH are thrilled. Looking forward to hearing when you'll have your transfer! You are in the homestretch - keep up your PMA!
poohgirl - thinking of you and looking forward to reading an update from you on how your donor is doing.
kelly - sorry to hear the news about DH. Do hope you can revisit the idea at another point in time, but until then - Enjoy your twins and become friendly with others who have more than two kids -- and perhaps they can start to put a bug into DH's ear as well, as to how wonderful it is to have such a big family...
chriss - glad all is progressing with you three. Two heartbeats are still two heartbeats. Maybe one implanted later than the other and that is the difference between the "ages"? I am sure the 2nd one will catch up. Glad you are being looked after carefully by your RE. 7 weeks already...You'll get to that 8 week mark and beyond, I am sure. Your appetite is a very good sign. I was so hungry at the beginning, I couldn't believe it - Just keep listening to your body.
Have a wonderful evening listening to your DH play. What kind of music? Does he do that professionally? That is so cool.
My mom is still here for another week and will be back again in October when the new arrival comes. We got the results of our amnio test today and everything is just fine. We are absolutely thrilled and have finally spread the word to friends and family. That felt great.
Big hello to gigi, JDC and jenB and anyone else who is reading along.

My next scan is on the 25th -- by then, there will be so many of you PUPO! I can't wait to read about all the good news and BFP's in the coming weeks.

Welcome Home, Carolyn! Sorry you had such a hard time getting back home. Good idea to curl up with a good trashy novel to pass the time! Wishing you all the best!
Everyone has their own personal views on the subject of having an amnio or not. We opted for the amnio, because despite all the prenatal tests you can have, none of them can tell you definitely if your child will be born with a genetic defect or not, they will only give you a risk assessment, where the amnio will give you an answer. For us, having that peace of mind was important. Our donor, although not yet 35, was still 30 and DH is 50, so the combination of the ages did pose a risk, according to my ob/gyn. So, if there was going to be a problem, we wanted to be prepared and informed.
Of course, we were worried about the miscarriage risk, but for a singleton, it is actually quite low and took all precautions. In the end, I am glad we did it. I think if one is pregnant with twins, the risk is different.
We've had nothing but incredibly positive and encouraging feedback regarding our news as well. If people are surprised, it is probably more because of my age, and why didn't we do this sooner, and not because we waited so long to say anything. As most of my friends and all of my family live far away, no one has even seen me in ages --
Everyone has their own way of approaching things. We just opted to wait till we felt we were at the right moment.
Sorry for the long post about me --
Do hope everyone is doing well! It is going to be a very exciting couple of weeks here!
jen - good to see you .. hope life is treating you well with your weekends away in the camper van

GOOD LUCK ON WEDNESDAY, SABI!!! Sending you lots of baby dust and PMA!
Carolyn - hope you are feeling good and feeling pregnant!
Once you get there, you will see, you get offered a slew of tests to choose from and the amnio was just the one that gave us the most concrete answers, that is why we chose it.
Haven't logged on in a while... I've got a lot of catching up to do!!
Pooh, don't worry!!! I had a shared cycle. We only had five mature eggs. Four of them fertilized and as of now, I'm pregnant with twins. So think quality not quantity. Hang in there.
Sabi, looking forward to hearing how transfer went. How many to transfer???
Carolyn, howz the 2ww??? Hang in there too, not much longer.
Summer, glad you are well. Did your mom go? Do you miss her? Glad you are enjoying sharing your news. Excellent news on amnio.
Hi everyone, thinking of you all. Looking forward to sharing all of our pregnancies together!!!
AFM, tired. Have therapy tonite. DH is coming. We go for sono on Thursday. I'm nervous because it will be our 8 week sono. When I had a miscarriage, it was discovered at the 8 week sono. I know that it's different this time. I'm thinking positively, best as I can. BTW, DH's band plays mellow rock type music, think beach type music. It is not his day job, but his band does get paid gigs. It's fun to go.
chris--you are right as long as a get pregnant who cares how many eggs there were--I am just worried my RE will cancel her on Friday and then I have to start over--I swear someone is trying to teach me patience something I do not have a lot of at the moment!
Sabi--As of today---you are PUPO you go girl!!!
Carolyn--How are you feeling-PMA PMA PMA
Everyone else how is the waiting game going?
