hi everyone

Hope you are all having a great day.

daisy - the stats from my clinic in NZ are if you get at least 3 eggs from the retrieval the chance of having none to transfer is less than 3%. I'm sure you will be fine.

belle - yes stim stim stimming away. Have a scan and more bw tomorrow. I am day 8 of stims. Can certainly feel lots of action in there so hoping for a good result. I'm a really low responder - 5-6 eggs so not getting overly excited at this stage. Have everything crossed for you to here how your embies are going.

kayce
- yes I could hardly believe it when I read how similiar your story was to mine. I'm on microdose flare protocol, currently stimming away. I have buserilin injections morning and night and then 300iu of gonal-f at night.

sunshine.12 - The family picnic went pretty good. You never can tell with DH's family. Thanks for asking!!

Daisy106 - I know how you feel. This is my last chance too. I have 5 frosties and that is it. Try to stay positive. It will work for us!

Michele - You can't stay away - we need you! Gotta love Lupron. I have been getting some awful headaches lately and I believe Lupron is the culprit.

JLo - Welcome to the boards!

belle-02 - Congrats on 7 embies! That is exactly what I had last time! Good luck with your ET tomorrow!

AFM - I have been getting a lot of headaches lately. Just taking Tylenol to help - some times it works, sometimes it doesn't. I am so excited for my FET this time. You ladies have kept me so positive and I thank you all so much.

Hugs and Prayers to all! Hang in there you 2ww'ers!

Hello Ladies! Lots of stuff going on. A few ETs today and lots of you getting close!

Wishful, I think I have decided to POAS starting on Sunday. I'm dying to know too, but I think it's still too early right now. I agree, one of those cameras would be awesome! Getting pregnant this way only causes obsessing and I hate it. If we were just "regular" gals, we would never even be thinking about it at this early date!!!

Kushka, Belle, and Sabi, I hope your ETs went well today! Welcome to the 2ww! Wishful and I were getting a bit lonely!!

mikeandjess, I'm sorry that you're suffering from Lupron headaches. Those are annoying headaches. I didn't suffer from them too badly this cycle. But I did get a doosy on the last day on Lupron! Strange! For me, Tylenol doesn't do crap! Hang in there!

Michele, I'm so jealous of your Ella and her sleeping habits. You've got to be kidding me! Jack has ALWAYS been an early riser. I'm lucky if he sleeps until 7 am once a month! He did a lot better in the big boy bed last night because we got a rail for it. He slept from 7:30-5:30 with no waking up. (He usually doesn't go to bed that early, but because he didn't sleep the night before he was one big meltdown last night!) Luckily my husband got up with him this morning!!! I got to sleep all the way until 6:30 when I had to get up for my meds and shot!

Stay Positive, stimming day will be here before you know it!!

Nicksgam & EYCI, I'm sure I've said it before, but again CONGRATS! I hope my name goes up next as a BFP!!! We've gotten this board off to a great start!

Daisy06, Good luck with your ET on Thursday. How are you feeling after the retrieval?

Kayce & JLo
, WELCOME!

Marymegan
, Hang in there, the ups and downs are awful, but part of the process called IVF!!!

AFM, I have been SO INSANELY TIRED this week. I'm trying hard not to read into it. I go back to bed once my husband leaves for work and my kiddo goes to daycare! It's been crazy! I know that tiredness is a side effect of progesterone, so I'm trying not to read into it. I didn't get this tired with my last FET, so who knows.... I was also working then and didn't have the luxury of napping and sleeping, so maybe that breeds tiredness too!

I'm 5dp3dt and I'm starting to getting the twitchyness to POAS! I've decided to do them afterall. Someone wrote on here that it's not going to change the outcome, and that's really true. So, I've decided to do one Sunday (Father's Day & DH's birthday) through my beta on Wed. I have 4 tests. I just hope I don't regret it!

Hello Ladies. I would love to join this thread. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 4 years. We had many unsuccessful IUI attempts, then moved to IVF. Our first IVF resulted in the transfer of 2 embryos and we were pregnant with twins. In November we lost our twin boys. This has been very hard for us, but we are ready to try again. We only have 1 embryo that is frozen, so we are praying for a successful thaw and transfer. We are trying to keep the faith, but it is really hard when you know you only have 1 left. My transfer is estimated to be on the 17th of July.

sbr - For some reason Tylenol doesn't do anything for me either but my RE said that's all I can take.

mikeandjess - my homemade remedy for migraines / bad headaches is to take 2 tylenol, drink a coke, and put a heating pad on the side of the head that hurts. Just tylenol doesn't work for me, but the combination does some of the time. I think the caffeine and sugar in the coke help too. Most people like cold / ice for headaches but I find it makes them worse so I use heat. If you don't have a hotpad, put about a pound of rice or dried beans in a sock, tie the top, and microwave 1-2 minutes until really warm. I actually like that better cause I can mold it around my head / cheek / eye socket. Lupron was a killer for me this time. I kept tell myself that the headache meant the drug was working. I didn't have the headaches 3 months ago with my BFN. Hope you find something that works. Oh... make sure you are drinking lots of water too. Dehydration can be a trigger for me. Good luck. Hope you are feeling better soon!

Sarah - Sunday sounds perfect. You couldn't ask for a better Father's day / Birthday present for your DH. Maybe just wait til the end of the day... It will be a great finale for an already wonderful day.

Oh goodness!! I need to check hourly just to keep up.

TrueBeliever- Hang in there. I totally understand the stress. Just try to relax (easier said than done) and not obsess (yeah, right). I have found that keeping busy helps. I have worked a lot since ER. When at home, I have now updated all of our pics and organized every book shelf in the house. Maybe try acupuncture this time? I totally love it. Johns Hopkins did a metanalysis of all the studies conducted on acupuncture and IVF. They came to the conclusion that acupuncture increased your chances by 50%. So if your chance was 50% going in, it increases to 75% with acu. My specialist has been awesome and is even coming to my house tonight for pre-ET treatment and then again tomorrow as soon as I get home from transfer. There is a very specific protocol they are to follow, so if you decide to go that route, be certain they do the research.

CTMichelle- Thanks for adding me to list! I seriously printed out the list last night and prayed for each and every woman on the list. I hope we all get the miracle we are looking for very soon!

Debbie- Slow down!! Too much work! Happy to hear that you are going on medical leave, take advantage of it and relax.

Sarah/SBR- Pee away! I am guessing that I will make it to 7 days max post transfer. Good luck, but don't be discouraged if you do not get a line. Everyone is way different and you could still be testing too early.

Kushka, Belle, and Sabi- We need updates!! You guys should all be PUPO today or at least retrieved! That is totally exciting. I will be there with you tomorrow. Boatloads of sticky dust to all of you!! (I put extra glue in it, so it should work.)

MikeandJess- Water! and G2 (or something with electrolytes). Stay hydrated and out of the heat while on Lupron. Hope you feel better very soon! It's all worth it right?? 5 frosties are great!! Hopefully it will be a piece of cake!

KayCe- Thank you so much for your post, it really did help so much. Welcome to the board. It is super crazy busy, but it has helped me so much. You are an inspiration with one embie!! Living proof that you only need one. Thanks again, it meant a lot.

Sabi- Hope it went well. Sending you lots of good PMA!!

Wishful- Hope you are feeling better! Siestas are the best. I had a little time for one today, but decided to chat with everyone else instead. Hope you get to go out tonight~!

wickedwheel- Thanks for the stats! Those are great odds. When clinic called today, I just let them go to voicemail. I was super scared they were going to say that ET was cancelled. Luckily, message said to come to office! Hopefully both of our little guys (or gals) will make it to tomorrow. One step at a time.

Stay Positive- You are going to be really good at waiting by the time 2ww gets around. Patience is a great virtue. Hang in there. We will hang with ya.

To everyone else, update us soon! We want to hear how you are doing.

AFM- You guys made me much more calm yesterday. 2 is better than none. I felt so much better after ER. My ovaries were so heavy. I did not take any pain medicine following surgery. Just drank water and relaxed.

Did first PIO last night - no problem until today. I did all of my Folli in the back, and never had any trouble (3vials, 2Xday). The day after my first PIO I am very sore! Maybe it just hit a sensitive point. Clinic called and we are set for noon EST tomorrow for transfer! Continue Medrol, PIO and doxy. then I have to add Endo suppositories (YUCK!) tomorrow morning. The fun just get funner!!!

My plan is to rest from Thursday until Monday! My husband's brother, SIL, and two really bad kids are coming for the weekend. So I am leaving! Going to my parents house to R&R - they have better room service anyway. ha, ha.

This is the longest message I have ever posted! This board is just getting so much activity! Good thoughts and prayers to everyone!!

Hi everyone !

jlo - welcome! you will get so much great advice & emotional support here. We share some background, I was raised by my Grandmother who is from Glascow

Michele - How is Ella's swing set going? Also did you ever ask your RE about raising your lupron to 20?

belle - good luck with your ET tom. the 4th times the charm!!

Stay Positive - You are a saint for your patience alone. Dont worry we will all still be here for you. How did your baseline go?

Wicked - Grow little follies grow!!!

Mikeandjess - I hope you find relief from your headaches soon. A bad one can drive you nuts. Your FET will be here soon, you must be getting excited now :D

Carolyn - Yes, a camera would certainly take some of torture out of the 2ww. i hope that you feel better!! :D

kushka / sabi - How did your ETs go?

daisy - Good luck with your ET tomorrow!! I'm hoping you get what you want ! :D

debbie67 - I trust in God too, but I'm with you on the getting nervous part. are you stimming? its fantastic that you will get medical leave!!!

true believer -Welcome! the ladies here are the best! I know its hard but try to not get wrapped up in thinking this HAS to work. Stress is counter productive with ivf. Yes I know easier said than done. And find comfort in the fact that you only need 1.

Sarah - I think to POAS on DH"s birthday & Father's day sounds like a sign to me! Wishing you tons of babydust!!!

AFM - I'm stimming away. I did the 1st ganerelix shot yesterday. God ,did that sting and the inj. site burned for a long time after. I'm happy there are only 5 more of those! I'll let everyone know how u/s goes tomorrow. Cross your fingers that theres more than 1 follie thats measurable.

Hugs & LOTs of PMA!!!

Hello, my name is Candice and this is my first post on here.
My story is pretty different than most, and I rarely find anyone with the same circumstances. Here's a little bit about me:
I am 28 years old and have been married for 2 years. I can't say that we have been TTC because I have known since I was about 16 that I would not be able to have children. I have POF (premature ovarian failure).
My DH and I have talked about our options over the years, and a couple years ago my wonderful, amazing cousin (also the only other girl in my family), offered to be an egg donor whenever my husband and I were ready to start a family. I was overwhelmed with her generosity; of course you would love to be able to have your own biological child, but I just feel so blessed that I get to experience the miracle of pregnancy and childbirth. My cousin and I look a lot a like, which is also a plus! However, she is 34, so I know that our chances are lower.
Well, we've jumped through all the hoops, taken all the tests, and have finally started down this road of parenthood. On Tuesday, I began giving myself Lupron injections. These injectiosn will cont. until July 13th, around the time my cousin will go through her egg aspiration, and hopefully we can make a baby!
It has been hard, because pretty much every one of my friends has either just had a baby or is currently pregnant, and only one of them had to use any form of fertility treatment (an IUI). You wonder why you weren't blessed with the ability to conceive naturally and why on earth you have to pay so much darn money! I hate insurance companies by the way. I recently discovered that bariatric surgery is now covered under my plan, but still no infertility :(
Anyways, I am very nervous and aprehensive about what the next couple of weeks has in store. I pray all the time that this works and if it doesn't for the strength to figure out what God's plan is for me.

Aloha ladies!

Just had me ER . . . what a breeze! So much easier than my LAP back in April . . . RE thought she'd get 8 eggs, but ended up getting 9!

RE said she'd call tomorrow with the ET date . . . either saturday or monday . . . it's so strange to think that my future children are being created in a lab just a few miles away! Strange, but exciting! Hope we get a whole bunch of solid embryos!

starting the PIO shots tomorrow . . . not super stoked about the IM shot, but I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end =)
