mt, we were suprised when the tech asked us if we wanted to know the sex if she was able to see it. I had no clue they could see anything this early! She warned us that it wasn't official though and not to get our hopes up.

Nicole, my bestfriend is 33 weeks and chose not to find out the sex. She's managed just fine with buying everything she needs, designing the nursery etc. DH and I agreed that if we had b/g twins this time around that the next one we wouldn't care to know. Did you find out about Ian in advance?

Cynthia: Nope, we didn't find out with Ian, but I just knew he was a boy :) Not sure how, but I was right. If I had to guess this time, I'd say this is a girl, because she's been a pain from the beginning!

I am sure though, if I was having twins, I'd more than likely try to find out- there is a little more at stake with two!

Hi Ladies, Don't have time to post much since I'm at work, but I was just wondering if any of you are going to have one of those 3d Ultrasounds done? I'm thinking about it but not sure if I will yet. Especially since I'm only supposed to be getting one more u/s with my doctor's office. It might be nice to have those 3d pics or a CD.

Ianmichael, My OB recommended some options to try for the headaches...a few of them are: Pregnancy Yoga, getting regular massages, and drinking alot of water. I already bought a prenatal yoga dvd so I hope to give that a try soon. Worst case she said she could prescribe me some stronger drugs, but that would be a last resort. I don't really want to take chances with that though. Hope you are feeling better!

Trying, I get a couple of 3D pics every time I get an u/s. Here's the latest one of Baby B (Baby A's never positioned quite right for a good pic).

No headaches since Monday AM, so: so far, so good- I've also ordered a Yoga DVD, so I'm anxious to try it. Water is all I ever drink, so I've got that covered too! I DO NOT really want to go for drugs, but if I keep getting them regularly- I just might have to in order to function :(

Time will tell.

3D u/s, not sure if that's what mine will be, but I'm going to ask- b/c I could be considered high risk, I want one in order to rule out the need for having further testing.... My next appointment is on the 25th. :)

Hey Ladies!! I hope everyone is having a great week!
I def. plan to have a 3D or 4D ultrasound, just to make sure everything looks good with the baby. In fact, my doctor recommends them to everyone. She doesn't do them in her office, I have to travel about an hour to Charlotte, NC, but I'm looking forward to it!!!

Wow, you ladies who are waiting to find out the sex till it's born are so strong, I envy you! I am dying to know the sex of my baby...I just hate surprises! I've always been that way, when I was a child I could never wait till x-mas to open my presents, I would slit the tape, open them up, and then wrap them back!!
So even waiting until 20 weeks to find out is just torture!! Plus, if it's a girl, I want the nursery to look "girly" and if it's a boy, my husband wants to do the nursery in UNC Tarheels...his fav. college basketball team.
I totally agree, I just want a healthy baby...that's the most important thing. Boy or girl, I'll love it!

How much weight has everyone gained so far? I gained about 16 pounds from just the IVF drugs, but only 2 pounds from being pregnant. How about everyone else??

Kelly, I'm sorry but I already dislike your husband...UNC? *barf* j/k LOL I went to NC State . I think we will go with something neutral either way. We both like sports though so we may incorporate that. Of course I will force my kids to be State fans along the way :D

How soon will you ladies start to furnish your nurseries? DH is so excited and wants to rush out and get everything NOW! I want to wait awhile longer.

So far I've only gained 1 lb since being pregnant. Weird.

cymplicity27 - 1 lb? And you're having twins?! WOW, that's great! I'm hoping to only gain around 20-25 total, especially since I gained so much weight so fast from the ivf drugs.

NC state? No way, UNC all the way!! LOL My husband went to medical school there, so he's a die hard fan from long ago!

I plan to start on the nursery sometime around 25 weeks. I would do it now, but want to wait to know the sex, plus to make sure the baby is ok and gonna make it to full term (my worst fear). I already bought a few outfits at Toys R Us that were on clearance, just to hold me over!! It was just too fun looking at the baby clothes!

Yes just 1 lb! It's crazy. I definitely have a round belly going on. My appetite hasn't been the greatest though. But my coworker who's 25 weeks gained very little in her first trimester and she just went back to her OB and has put on 24 lbs! So I'm sure mine is coming any day now

We've bought a few things off of craigslist just because they were too cheap to pass up. We got the snap n go double stroller frame for about 1/2 of what we'd pay in the store. I also know a girl who just had b/g twins and she's giving us her infant carseats since hers just turned 9 months and they are out growing them. I know they say not to go used with carseats but she bought them brand new 9 months ago and I trust they are safe and in good condition. My mom has already bought a double jogging stroller! Can't use that until they are at least 6 months though. We've been looking at cribs and DH is anxious to get 2 but I'm like you, I want to hold out as long as possible, until I'm less nervous...if I ever get to that point! I think I'll shot for 20 weeks. If everything looks good at the anatomy scan it's off to the races! :)

Kellie: You are too funny! As far as the weight thing goes, I'm not sure, but I might have gained 3-5 pounds as of a couple weeks ago- my next appointment is next Thursday the 25th, so I'll have a better idea then. I don't think I'll go as overboard with food during the last trimester like I did with my son, though. :)

XOXO!

Hello:

Cimplicity - You only gained 1lb!!! I envy you (the good way). I gained 10lb since I started the treatment. On the treatment I gained 4 and now 6. It look like you have everything plan out, just waiting for the green light. I loved the 3D sonogram of your baby, so cute. My sonograms are the regular ones, but I plan to get a 3D at 24 weeks or more, just want to see his or her face.

Ian - How are you going to wait without knowing if its a g or a b? I can't wait anymore, my next app is the 29 and I'm desperate. My DH and I already decided for a name for a girl and a name for a boy but aren't telling anyone until we know the sex.

As for decorations, I'm going to use looney tunes babies and plan to paint green and yellow (neutral colors), I went to see the cribs and all the accesories but didn't buy anything. Going to wait until 20 weeks at least.

A friend gave a few CD's for the baby, it's so cute. I'm listening to them everyday. I read in a magazine, if you listen specific music during your pregnancy, that music will calm the baby when born because he or she will recognize it.

To all of you, a happy weekend. Eat a lot and relax, enjoy this blessing.

Hugs

Sari

Sari: your nusery sounds like it will be really cute! As far as waiting... women have been doing it for thousands of years :) Besides, I look at it as being once of the very best most pleasant surprises we are blessed with by God- that's just me though.

No headaches all week for me... YAY!

AND, I wanted to tell you guys I used the babyplus system with Ian from week 18 til he was born and I completely and totally believe in it. He was born alert and very quiet, just looking around :) He has always hit his developmental milestones ahead of schedule, but just by a little. Check it out online... just google babyplus and you should get a hit on their website! They have them on ebay too :)

Ian - Maybe you don't imagine, but I admire you a lot. I remember your miracle and I really think you are a very brave person. I agree with you it's a pleasent surprise, everybody did it a few year ago. But I am not that strong. I want to know  LOL. Thanks for the tip on the babyplus system I will look it up.

Cymplicity, What a great u/s pic of your baby! I love it. Thanks for sharing.
:D
I think I have gained about 1 pound so far. It's really hard to tell since some days I weigh myself and it will seem I gained a few pounds, but then the next day I'm back down to my normal weight. With my son I gained about 28 pounds total.

I'm waiting on decorating the nursery or buying anything for the baby until I know the sex and also just to feel more sure that my pregnancy will last. I'm just kinda superstitious too. We actually had saved a bunch of baby clothes from when my son was a baby, but I decided when I started IVF that I would give them all away to goodwill. I just knew it would be my luck to give all that stuff away and then finally get pregnant and that is exactly what happened. I think things in life are just ironic like that.

Hi ladies! I hope you all had a fab weekend! Everyone's quiet so I'm assuming physically just as uneventful as mine which is an excellent thing!

I think I've finally gotten a noticeable bump!! I went to a family BBQ and people that didn't know I was preggers quickly figured it out. Here are some pictures. Hopefully they come up for you:
