Nicole & Julie--- CONGRATS on BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah!!! I'm a little behind, sorry. How are you mom's feeling????

Kushka- you & I are practically on the same schedule here. Loads of stickies to you my friend! To answer your question: I had 2 "compacted" means compacted morula which is the final stage b4 blast. They have 10-30 cells. I'm guessing they didn't want to take the chance on losing them if they didn't make it to blast & that's why they froze them- for back up. I don't think I'll need any of them...cuz' I know I'll be pregnant this round.
I'm praying for a BFP for you dear- You get your news one day b4 me, I'm jealous!
Carolyn- How many more days till beta? Are you destressing?
Sorry for the lack of personals lately. I've been trying to keep up on everybody & this thread is going strong!!
Michelle- we sure miss you around- enjoy that 8 hour car ride-YUK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take Care,
Sabixxoo

EYCI - I'll try the coek and heating pad this weekend because the headaches still haven't let up. I do drink lots of water. Actually I don't really drink any sodas but I'll try anything at this point. CONGRATS on the BFP!

Daisy106 - If the coke and heating pad doesn't work - I'll try the G2. Thank you for the advice. I know what you're saying about the PIO shots. I do mine myself. I am not looking forward to doing that this cycle and it's coming up!!! I am so sorry to hear about your embryos. What an awful way to start your ET! BUT IT ONLY TAKES ONE!

Candice81 - I also knew when I was very young that I wouldn't be able to have children naturally. I had a lot of pelvic surgeries when I was in my teenage years. You have an awesome cousin to offer to be an egg donor for you! Good Luck!

Michele - Have a great weekend!

Belle-02 -Good Luck - POAS! Good for you - I am going to do it this time too.

cuppycake - Sorry to hear about your OHSS - how awful! HANG IN THERE!

katie99 - I am so sorry to hear your cycle was canceled. What is your next step?

nicksgam - How awesome! Congrats!

AFM - not much going on just Lupron and estrace for a while longer.

HUGS AND PRAYERS TO ALL!

Hi Everyone -
Ok so I've been moping around since yesterday. Wow did it suck to put the rest of my meds away. So I called (whined to?) my RE. He actually apologized for cancelling me but told me he is sure we can get more follies next time. He had me on Arimidex ( estrogen blocker being used to suppress endo tissue) for 40 days (of nausea!) prior to this cycle and thinks that he should have had me wait longer before stimming. I felt much better after he said this ( I am 40 & was stressing low reserve) But I didnt understand how come with the 1st ER in Jan. we got 5 follies when my ovaries were full of endo tissue? And now that theres room in there I only get 1, and apparently not a great one) He says he is confident that the Arimidex did its job well and that he just didnt wait long enough. OK, so we wait. I do like and trust this doctor so I have to just have faith. On a high note though, he is going to carry over the ovulation induction fee from this month, thank God
so we are all set for July. It is sooo much fun being 100% cash pay so that money is factored in to every IVF decision. But oh no! I guess this means that I'll spend the next 2 weeks waiting for AF? again? AARRGGG!!!

Thanks guys for the kind words and thoughts!
Hugs & loads of sticky babydust to everybody!!

Hello to everyone!!! I haven't been here in a while but I check daily to see how you all are doing!!! It's so hard to do personals, I feel bad leaving some behind!! Sorry....

To everyone on there 2WW remember PUPO!!! So try to stay positive and plan your days ahead!!! Try not to think about it sooo much!!!

Katie99 I agree with your ER is better to cancel a cycle if there is not a lot to work with. I know how stressful it is having to pay out of pocket so you really want to have the best chances. Our first 2 cycles were really stressful because of that, just now we got approved by the insurance. I'm too waiting for AF to arrive so will be cycling pretty close!!! Good luck and don't get to anxious waiting!!!

Kushka I had to blame the progesterone for the non stop eating, I craved a lot of sugar, but I'm sure is just the anxiety!! The 2WW can hit you sooo hard in so many ways!!! So, are you in Switzerland?? I lived in Zurich for 2 years (DH is swiss) I love it there!! About the trigger shot is the HCG injection you give yourself before retrieval (it has many generic names) and is the hormone that the body produces naturally with preg. So it is the same that its detected on a HPT. It goes away and soon after the body responds to a pregnancy producing the hormone by itself.

AFM- I'm on my Estradiol patches and waiting for AF problably next week, then we'll take it from there... Well girls as much as I enjoy reading and posting it's getting really late and I have to start packing, we go away for the weekend and I haven't even started, lots of packing for such a short trip!!! I'll miss you all please keep the PMA flowing!!! I will try to check the board over the weekend!!!

Big hugs and Baby Dust to everyone!!!!

just got home after our ET . . . RE implanted 4 embryos . . . i think she said 2 were a 7 cell/B grade and 2 were 6 cell/b grade . . . DH and I are open to reduction if more than 2 take, so that's why she implanted 4 . . . was hoping for a 5dt, but oh well! The most stressful part was that my acupuncturist was supposed to be there and she totally flaked on me! Beta is scheduled for July 1 . . . on bed rest and dealing with the cramps . . . 2ww, here I come! =)

kushka : hi, this is my first cycle so im also very new to all this stuff so i'll explain what ive understood from reading these forums so far, im supposed to get OHSS back if im pregnant because the hormone HCG that our body produces during pregnancy causes OHSS to come back.

And the trigger leaving our system is the same hormone i think, HPT detects HCG in the urine and it was also in the trigger we gave ourselves so until all the HCG has left our system the HPT results arent reliable.
If im wrong anywhere somebody can correct me :)

AFM im going crazy in the 2ww , i live in a joint family with all my inlaws , ive been avoiding everybody cause i hate people asking me if im feeling any changes so im stuck in my room obsessing asbout everything and i know if this cycle doesnt work my inlwas will say i spent so much of my husbands money with no results !! I cant even POAS beacuse my doctor said the strips available here arent that sensitive.

Hi Cuppycake (great name by the way), So sorry you're having to lurk in your room. If your in-laws could say something as mean as that they sound like a nightmare! Are they at least looking after you so that you can put your feet up? Do your parents live with you too? And thanks for the OHSS explanation.

Deftonesmo, congrats on your ET. 4 embryos sounds amazing! Do you know what the benefits of a 5dt rather than a 3dt are? I had a 3dt too but didn't really get around to understanding why we didn't wait until day5. I'm also pretty much 'in bed', and have some cramps too. Deep joy!

KayCe, to answer your question, I'm in Geneva. I've been here for a year now - was in London before. I'm loving it - skiing/the lake etc. It's also a much more relaxed pace of life which I'm hoping will do us good when it comes to babymaking!

Sabi, you're right - we are on the same time frame. How is the 2ww going for you? Crazy? I hope you're feeling good and taking things easy.

Daisy - YOU ONLY NEED ONE! How are you doing, my 2ww buddy?

Well, as for me, we've taken the RE's advice, and DH has practically banished me to bed. It's getting SO dull. The most interesting part of my day is taking a pharmacy-worth of pills three times! I've had a few cramps but nothing major to report. I can see how people turn obsessive at this point!

Lots of good wishes, hugs and positive thoughts and vibes to all of you.
Kx

Hi Kushka . . .

From what I understand, the jury is still out on that one. Some RE's believe a 3 day transfer is best while others believe a 5 day transfer is best. The argument for a 3dt is that the embryos are returned early to natural environment and with waiting you risks embryos not surviving because they are in the laboratory longer. The argument for a 5dt is that the best quality embyos can be used and doing the transfer sooner it is difficult to choose the best embryos.

Some clinics like 3 day, others like 5 day . . . my RE thought my embies would do a better job in utero, so hence, 3-day transfer . . .someone did a poll here a while back and of the women surveyed, 50% got pg thru a 3dt and 50% got pg thru a 5dt . . .

Hey girlies!

Well I am going to have a lot of catching up to do when I actually sit down in front of my own computer on Tuesday.

I don't have much time now, still in Rochester NY, reading as much as I can but not posting. I just wanted to update the list, move deft to the 2ww, and say congrats deft on being PUPO! i miss you guys and am praying for everyone!

The weekend has been fun so far, bridal shower yesterday and bachelorette party last night. (So this morning I have a lupron and drinking headache!) Ella did ok on the ride, fussy through part of it because she was hot, bored, hungry, tired...etc...so we did a lot of stopping, and we will do the same on the drive home tomorrow.

Today, dh's first fathers day. We are going to a restaurant with over 100 beers on tap, then to my bro's softball game and then to see the movie hangover. I gave him his card, and some books from Ella...and his tickets to the Mets game in august...so I think he is having a really good day. He has also been eating a cheesecake all weekend from the best bakery around...it is an over the top chocolate peanut butter cup cheesecake..he says it is the best he has ever had!

Ok, gotta run, but will do some personals on Tuesday...just know I am reading and thinking of you all.

Hi everyone

I have had a busy few days and have been away so haven't been able to post.

Went for a scan after 8 days of stims and we had about 4 good looking follies 12 and 13mm. There were a few other smaller ones however doubt whether they would grow. Had another scan yesterday day 11 of stims and we have at least 2 good follies 21 and 19. I was scared they were going to cancel me but they didn't. Triggered last night and ER scheduled for tomorrow at 10am.

I'm not feeling too great about the numbers but on all my cycles I have been such a low responder so couldn't really expect much else.

sticky vibes and ++++++ thoughts to you all

I waited all weekend to take my HPT tonight. (11/12dpo--8/9dp3dt) I say that it's 11/12 or 8/9 because my doc said it was a 2.5 day transfer. Anyhow, it was NEGATIVE. I'm so depressed I can barely stand it. I know that it's quite possible that it was too early. For one it was evening pee, for two, it's just early, but this is the same path I was on in April with my last FET. I've scoured the Internet for "it's too early stories" and they're there, but it still didn't make me feel better. I plan to test every morning until my beta on Wed. Blah.

The weekend was crazy. We celebrated my DH's birthday and Father's Day. We went to the zoo and the baseball game and then we stayed at my parents' house last night. It was too much for the two year old. He didn't sleep much--no naps which lent to many horrific tantrums. I'm pretty beat. We did have a lot of good times too, but I'll never plan that much for the weekend again when he's that young. I had just hoped to finish off the weekend with a BFP on the HPT. Nope. Depressed. Don't know if I can go through another 2ww with my last three embies. Theoretically they're the "worst" ones, right?

Irrational and tired,
